Yes, it's inside the AMPM but do not underestimate this cute little wine bar. The owner is awesome and very attentive. The wine selection is amazing and nothing from a typical grocery store wine list. Me and husband found our little spot close to home.

Add me to the list of regular customers here! As someone new to wine, Lori was very warm and helpful! The tasting is not like we've had at the wineries, but more casual and personable. I told her what I like and she picked a couple to get a sense of what I was looking for, then recommended some in my price range. Spot on for me in her choices, both tasted and not. And she even recommended some below my price range which is even better! Saves me a lot of time and $$ trying to figure out what might be good.

Lori at the Sheldon Wine Shop is absolutely incredible! I won something through Elk Grove Laguna forums and was directed to go to her for my prize. My boyfriend went and picked it up for me and I was on FaceTime talking to her about how badly I wanted to come to the wine tastings and shop! When my boyfriend came home, he shows me Lori had gifted me two bottles of wine for the Holidays. They even came in a cute bag! Lori, you are so sweet and your kindness shines. Thank you for making me a forever customer for your amazing service and generosity. PS: The red blend was so amazing. I will be coming in soon. Much love, Jillian

With our three hour open house quickly approaching, my wife and I had to settle on an activity to keep us occupied. Our selection was something that we haven't done in quite some time...wine tasting! I vividly remember a friend mentioning a tasting room within a nearby gas station. At the time, she couldn't stop marveling over the delicious wine offerings and engaging customer service. With time to kill, we headed to Sheldon Wine Shop. The location of the tasting room is literally inside of the Ampm. Once you enter the Ampm main lobby, make a sharp right and you will see the tasting room. As we entered the area, we were warmly greeted by Lori. Lori led us to a table, inquired about our wine preference (red), and concocted a lineup of samplings. Within a 45 minute period; Lori showcased wines ranging from Zinfandels to Red blends and Cabs. We were impressed with 4 out of the 5 samplings, which is an impressive feat for any tasting room. Lori did a great job of giving background on each sampling, and knowing how to pace the tastings so that we did not feel hurried. When the tasting officially ended, Lori was kind enough to let us revisit a delicious Cab from Paso Robles. The personalized wine tasting experience did a great job of removing some of the home selling & purchasing-related stress that we were encountering. I know that a wine tasting room located within a gas station does not coincide with the "popular opinion." However, I strongly encourage you not to sleep on Sheldon Wine Shop!

Place is small and clean. A bit disappointed that online inventory through a 3rd party shows they have a certain brand available but when we got there, they're out of it. At least the lady behind the counter took time to look for it. She was hesitant at first but decided to go back and look through their inventory.

Cute little wine / spirits shop located in the back of the AM_PM gas station. Hosted by the talented , knowledgeable and friendly Lori. She will allow you to taste specific wines . She has recently started doing spirit tastings on specific days . If you join the wine club you will be emailed the dates of the different events and spirits being featured. Approximately 6 tables that seat 4 to sit comfortably to enjoy your drinks. Legally she has to separate wine & spirit tastings and can not combine the two. If you send a reservation you are guaranteed a spot if not you can drop in. Large selection of wines , champagnes, and other alcoholic beverages in the winery area and throughout the gas station.

Nice hidden getaway. I've lived in Elk Grove for about 5 years now and have driven past this place many times. Finally stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. Good selection of local wines from Lodi, Napa, and even Elk Grove.

Great customer service cute little shop in the ampm ty for the free wines I won and the one I bought can't wait to try them great for Christmas gifts new year's gifts just chilling at home will be back.put gas and went to McDonald's lol ????
