It took a while to get an appointment (a week!) But the service is consistent. I didn't wait for the car, this time, but it was done when I went back.

Good luck getting anyone to even answer the phone. I've been trying to get my truck in for some recall work for months now. Once you're finally able to get someone to answer (after hours of trying) they tested me truck and then admitted that my truck was too big for the sled they used and it had to be taken to the fleet dept and tested there (in a couple days). They knew the size of my truck. They knew the smaller sled that they were using wasn't going to give an accurate result. They went through the whole run around for whatever reason anyway. After a couple days without my truck, they finally tested my truck properly and said "yes, you need the part from the recall". They never called when the part came in. They still don't answer the phone when I try to call to see if the part is in. I'm fully considering driving further to a different Ford dealer just so I don't have to deal with this place.

After deciding not to allow Elk Grove Ford to service my vehicle, I arranged for a tow truck and my car wasn't even out front although I called them in advance. I walked through the door and I was met with very unwelcoming attitudes eye rolls and smirks as two technicians stood in the hallway one with a smirk and one that just kept looking at me shaking his head. How unprofessional could they get? This is where the one star rating came in as they could have been much more professional about it even though I was no angel it would have been good for business Nevertheless I have forgiven and moved on and I will chalk it up to a lesson learned. They do not warranty their brake jobs unless the brakes are defective but how would one know if they are defected or warped or something else that may cause them to malfunction. I have a close friend who owned a shop for nearly 40 years and he said that one of their technicians probably forgot to grease the caliber and caused it to seize up but there's no way to prove that but if they had admitted that then they would be doing warranty work and nobody wants to do warranty work because it's working for free... I suspect that's probably what happened.I also made several phone calls this morning and explained what was going on and three separate technicians at different locations said that it was probably the caliber sticking or seizing up.I was fortunate and blessed enough to find a really good repair shop that offers a 12-month warranty or $24,000 miles.. at least if my brakes are depleted in 5 weeks there will be a warranty. So I am going to have it diagnosed and repaired and go with the other company and the reviews are super good and customer service is stellar. I think Elk Grove Ford might have been trying to gouge CarMax because CarMax was gracious enough to step up and do what Ford should have done and offer to pay for the repairs. Every time I visit there it's over $1,000 Hats off to CarMax and I'll have to write another five star review for those guys. My experience with Ford the first time was much more amiable because I was dollar signs $$$$ for them but when I called them on their shoddy work, they had no warranty but plenty of attitude and insisting they weren't going to replace my brakes because they do not guarantee their work on brakes,??? all they did was blame me because they couldn't find out what the problem was so buyer beware and if you have to go to a Ford dealer I would choose perhaps downtown location or Madison but not at this location. You know all the jokes and slogans that you hear about the Ford cars being a piece of junk.. well it's all true. I've had this car since May 3rd and it's been in the shop twice already for the same thing. In all fairness I will say that during my first visit there they replaced the left axle and as far as I know that I haven't had any issues with that. I was told that the technician popped some insulation in my steering wheel because it was making a scraping sort of noise when I would turn the steering wheel. That's why I was rather surprised at their attitude this time but I guess money still talks and Bs still walks and they did a whole lot of walking if you catch my drift.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Elk Grove Ford. Clay, our salesperson was personable, honest and very knowledgeable. Buying vehicles is so stressful and he was patient with me and all of my questions and made the experience a pleasant one. Manny helped us through the buying process and was awesome as well. He made us feel very comfortable and made the process a breeze. It was the first time paperwork wasn't so boring. I highly recommend Elk Grove Ford!

After a nightmarish experience with CarMax the night before, I did some research and found the car my husband wanted at Elk Grove Ford. I called and spoke with Steve Magana. He right away pulled the keys for the vehicle and sent me the address for their location via text. We pull up, meet Steve and he grabs the car for us. My husband likes it instantly while driving it. Steve and the financial officer made this experience so painless. We were up to there in the whole time it took for us to have the horrible experience at CarMax. That's also driving in traffic on the way up. The sales team is top notch here. They take care of you and are very attentive. Thank you so guys for turning this car buying experience around for us. My husband is thrilled to have a car again and loves it. We are coming back here for our next car/truck.

Great experience purchasing a new F150 thanks to Sales Manager Cole Wood.He was able to locate the specific truck I wanted (model & color), since that particular truck wasn't on the lot. It arrived the next day, and was ready for me to take home. I would definitely do business here again. Thanks to Mike Bhatia as well.

Well our experience at Elk Grove Ford was great, then not so great, then turned out fantastic. Let me explain. We went to Elk Grove Ford to test drive a Bronco Sport to consider using it as a vehicle to tow behind our Motorhome in our travels. We took one for a test drive and upon our return, our salesman Vince met us and we liked the SUV and we were told that the finance rate was pretty low on these and it wouldn't be much more expensive to buy new instead of used. We were looking at used 2021 Bronco. We explained to Vince what out intentions were for this vehicle and he stated that he thought it could be flat towed, but will find out for sure. He came back and stated that they could be flat towed. We decided to go for it and lease the Bronco Sport for 3 years. After a couple hours, we were on our way home with our new "TOAD." We got home late, so I didn't really do much with the vehicle. I woke up early so I could read up on the flat towing sequence you have to use so you can flat tow. I didn't find one.Upon Elk Grove Ford opening, I drove the Bronco there to have them walk me through the process. I was met by Vince, who wasn't familiar with the flat tow sequence, but would get someone who was.Well........the bottom line is that you CANNOT flat tow a Bronco Sport at all. That opened up a can of worms, that I thought was going to be a big problem as we no longer want that vehicle. The manager Ray met us and was apprised of the situation and began a resolution. After about 15 minutes he came out and offered us a 2023 Ford Edge (which is flat towable). I looked at it and after initial thoughts, I knew I didn't want it, but Ray said drive it home and let my wife check it out. I told him it would probably be a big NO!Obviously my wife hated it and stated she wants a Bronco. We both went back to Elk Grove Ford to turn the Edge in and see what other resolutions Ray had to remedy this situation. Ray then advised that they just received a shipment of 3 Full size Broncos on the truck in the lot. One of them was the color that my wife wanted. I was expecting a much higher lease payment, but Ray made it work so our payment was only about $150/month higher. We leased that new Bronco on the spot. We were very unhappy that employees were not up to date on functions of the vehicles that they sell, but it turned out for the best. Thanks for making this adventure right.

Recently took the RV for an oil change. Price was right and the service went smoothly. It made it easier for them to simply drop the car off. There was a little bump when the call to pick up came from a town 20 minutes down the road. Apparently this was a result of a business buyout. Added frustration that there was no voicemail indicating the job was completed. I ended up calling them late in the afternoon to find out the work was completed that morning.

I have been going here for years, and I mean years, I made an appointment, before the prices were reasonable for an oil change but have more doubled to 100 dollars, so I won't be taking my car there anymore, however we do have a truck that is covered for everything so our truck will be going there but I will be talking my car to Brake Masters in the future.

We were looking for a Bronco Sport for my wife and drove all the way from Modesto after not finding too much inventory at our local Ford dealership and other surrounding ones. We came in on a Saturday afternoon where greeted by Demetrius and long story short... couple of hours later drove out in our new Bronco. Some of the other dealerships where asking for a price increase above MSRP but we ended up getting a discount and a competitive trade in for our explorer. The signing part was efficient and the finance lady,( can't remember her name) but she was very personable, friendly, and got through it quickly. It was a Saturday night so the final cleaning and some of the service from the detail guys was so so but the Kings where playing the Warriors and they all wanted to go home so we will give them benefit of doubt.Overall we had a good experience and Demetrius the sales rep was very professional, friendly, and took good care of us. First off let me just say the sales staff at this dealership are 5 stars amazing. Austin was great and I had a great experience with him.In 2021 I bought a new Ford Maverick, everything was great, custom order took about 3-4 months to get delivered and everything was just peachy from the sales staff to finance staff. Austin checked in every few weeks on the Maverick to see how it was doing and everything seemed great. Oil changes went by with out a problem, minus the service tech forgetting to reset the oil life indicator on the truck (simple fix on my end).Fast forward to November of '22 and I get a check engine light on my truck that it did not warm up to operating temperature. Took the truck in a few weeks later when schedule allowed for an oil change + service diagnostic but I was told that their oil change department and their service department are two separate entities and I would have to come back (a month later when appointment was available) to get it diagnosed. So here I am driving a truck with a check engine light for over a month before it was diagnosed.I go back to the dealership a few weeks later and the thermostat was diagnosed as stuck open, but surprise! The part wasn't in stock so I have to keep driving my truck (with a check engine light) and no loaner for another few weeks before the part can get installed.Part is installed, and check engine light throws again, service tech says "We don't know what's going on, so we asked our service hotline on guidance, but you can drive the truck no problem".I asked 3 times if it was okay to drive long distance and was assured yes.In February, I drove 60 miles outside of town for the truck to overheat and throw every code at me in the book. I tow the truck to the dealership on a Friday afternoon ~ 4:00PM and had to beg someone to come help me.The truck sat at the dealership for 34 days and contact was minimal between the dealership and myself. A rental was offered (but I would have to pay the difference of $30 a day to enterprise) but economically did not make sense to me. After contacting the Ford Corporate Hotline requesting a buyback of my vehicle due to lemon law, magically, my truck was fixed the following Monday. The buyback was approved and I was set to take the truck back to the Ford Dealership for surrender and cashout, but surprise! They didn't want it and told me to kick rocks and find another dealer. Pretty cowardly if you ask me! The sales staff here like I said are great and amazing (they have to be I guess that's where they make their money). The service department customer service is slow, terrible at communicating, and just downright rude sometimes to their customers.Ford has lost a customer and I will be moving on to GMC.
