My iPhone was frozen, I had just flown in from San Diego, I and needed someone to help me fix it because all the har resets weren't working. scheduled an appt with Geek Squad via apple support, and the friendly and helpful Kennedy took complete care of me. She happily restored my phone within 45 minutes an no charge.

This is a racist store and I do NOT recommend shopping there as a person of color.On 11/25/2023 at approximately 9:45 am, I walked into the store to pickup a new Apple Watch 9. I showed the bar code on my personal cellphone to a white woman working the pickup lane. She scanned my bar code on my cellphone and contacted someone in the back to retrieve the item. I patiently stood adjacent to the pickup counter with my back several inches away from a shelf.Several minutes passed and a young Best Buy Asian employee man pushing a tv on a cart yells excuse me. I looked at him as said, I'm not blocking you, walk around me and of course he got mouthy. Bumped me with the tv and I redirected it away from myself. He said something under his breath and continued to walk past me while pushing the tv out the store. I stood there observing the employees at the pickup counter. As white men, women and Asians presented their cellphones to show their orders NO identification was requested. The Best Buy clerks scanned their cellphone bar codes, walked away and returned with their items and did NOT ask for any identification (Don't forget this).After approximately 20-25 minutes the store clerk waived for me to return to the pickup counter. She asked for the bar code for a second time. I unlocked my cellphone, logged into my Best Buy account and showed her the barcode for the Apple Watch a second time. She then asks me for an I.D.I replied you didn't ask anybody else for an I.D. So please explain to me why you're asking me? She looked dumbfounded and claimed it's the store policy and they check everyone. (Only Black people).I presented my drivers license to her and after she looked at it, she went to retrieve my item. As I waited at the counter, other customers walked up to retrieve their items and no identification was requested. (Asian and white customers came and went NO problem).The next customer as he received his merchandise, I said out loud to the clerk ask for his identification. She got upset and loudly responded back, mind your own business. This is the bias professionalism being taught by corporate Best Buy training staff. I replied you and your colleague are racist, I'm an African American who came into the store to pickup $500 USD worth of merchandise and I'm treated like criminal suspect. I'm being disrespected, talked down too, forced to show identification and my order several times before I can get my merchandise. I requested a manager and the names of both clerks and the manager refused to provide me with her employees name. So, I kindly asked for her name and she identified herself as Best Buy Manager Kennedy. ( NOTE: none of the employees wore name tags). She listened to my complaint and said nothing, I asked her what the store policy was and she couldn't even explain that to me. I told her there was no consistency with her store clerks working pickup orders. I explained what I observed and how only I the African American man had to show identification. I told the Mgr. Kennedy to be prepared to respond to her corporate office because I will be filling a complaint letter for the discrimination I received in the store. She said, I will and walked away.Best Buy I will NEVER shop online or in your Store again. As a United States Marine Veteran, I will be sharing my story with Disabled American Veterans, NAACP, friends, family and my Church members. The one star rating is too high for the store as well. Sisters and Brothers this store doesn't value our money or our people, boycott Best Buy and shop elsewhere! They do not deserve our money....

I made two costly mistakes when purchasing my fridge: Bought a Samsung from Best Buy with their Geek Squad scam extended warranty. After countless phone calls to Samsung and Geek Scam, and the last minute appointment cancellation because Geek Scam can't fix a Samsung fridge's compressor (??? Go figure!). It's now going to take more than 2 weeks to get it fixed through a third party contracted out by Bad Buy. I should have bought it from Costco. Be careful with your big purchases with Bad Buy. I'm cancelling my Bad Buy credit card and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Nova @ Geek Squad (Elk Grove) is amazing!!! I went in bc my earphones weren't working properly and she ordered me a new pair. She made the experience great, simple and easy. She even gave me some advice :) I really appreciated it. Genuinely made the start to my day even better!

We stopped by about ten minutes to close already knowing what we needed. The staff still greeted us and welcomed us in, even though it was obvious they were closing.We made our way to the section we were looking for and easily found our item and headed to the checkout. The staff members didn't rush us at all and in fact assured us that we were fine. We checked out right at close and left right away as the staff were locking the entrance.They could have easily turned us away or rushed us but they were all really nice and we were able to get what we needed with zero issues in record time.

Went to pick up an item purchased online. I noticed my item was damaged and did not want it. The girl at item pickup already released the product to me and said that i would need to stand in the return line if i didn't want it. I told her the damaged item should have never been released to me and that i did not accept it. 15 mins after standing in the return line, i finally got up to the return register. I asked to return it and they offered me cash. I did not want cash, i wanted it back in the original form of payment. They said there was nothing they could do since it was a same day return. THE WORST customer service and SO RUDE. The girl with long black hair obviously doesn't like her job and was not helpful. I can't remember her name. I will never buy anything from this store again.

3/24/2023I love new gadgets and technology..My son ordered online for my present and I couldn't be more happier.We stopped to pick them up- had no idea what it was that he bought..Saturday, these two cute wrapped packages held something amazing!The Anker series 6 magnetic battery..Compact and light..Used them on the way back home!I'm still a Best Buy member!

Best Buy is a dumpster fire for electronics. They have phenomenal prices on many items, but many of their employees are clueless and likely poorly trained. Parking is easy to find in their large lot. They sell everything from cameras, cell phones, cell phone accessories, computers, kitchen gadgets, printers, refrigerators, washers and dryers, and more. They also install as well as repair and refurbish items through their Geek Squad. I made an appointment several days in advance to have the screen on my old phone replaced as they're an authorized Samsung repair facility. I received several emails and text reminders. On the day of my appointment, I received a phone call 90 minutes beforehand stating they're not currently active and operational and I could go to the Stockton store. I asked why the hell they didn't call me sooner and why they're accepting appointments they're not honoring. Their clueless employee told me that's how they're handling things. I call back and ask to speak to management as I'm pretty pissed off as I'd planned on getting this done so I could retrieve the data off my old device before selling it. I'm promised a call back within an hour. Over six hours later, their manager Ricky calls me. He's full of lame excuses and isn't any brighter than his counterparts. It's the dumb leading the dumber. I'm no rocket scientist, but I'm pretty certain a quick call to corporate could make it to where they're no longer able to accept appointments. Do business here at your own risk. Their extended warranties can be helpful if you buy a lemon; otherwise, cheaper prices can often be had through Amazon and other places.

I fully understand it is the holidays so I made an appointment for a car stereo install, on a weekend. The stereo was not for me but for my son's birthday. The website let me buy the stereo and make the appointment at the Elk Grove location. When I arrived at the store I was told they do not do car stereo installs. Very matter of fact and no apology, no compensation. Wait, I was offered an appointment at another store in Sacramento in February or an appointment in Stockton in two weeks. I guess it is normal to offer an alternative site that is over an hour away, during the work week. Yes, I understand it is tough to work with the public but bad customer service is not the answer. I would recommend people to go ahead and just order things on line and have it shipped to their house. Don't waste your time or gas with this location.

Easy pickup. I helped my fam score a 48" High end top rated LG OLED for $579 Cyber Monday deal! Score. It is an upgrade for my college-aged daughter. It was rated 2nd tier best behind my best in class $6000 77" LG OLED I won bidding from a local auction for $1700. I got insanely lucky to score that one back in 2019 by sheer luck as most ELITE tier tvs do not hit auction sites. A return I guess. Anyways, we didn't go in here. Just pickup and a nice young man brought it out. Couldn't find us so I had to flag dude down. He loaded it in our trunk for us. Sharp service and friendliness. Ace.

I ordered applIances and had the worst experience. they love taking the money but no customer service. best buys many customer service is a nightmare. I would like to return all of my appliances for my whole kitchen. I will never purchase anything from Best Buy again. not even a phone case.

Best Buy was convenient for what I was looking for that I could pick up locally the same day. Plus the external hard drive was on sale so it was $20 cheaper than the other stores. Online ordering with store pickup was easy. When I went to pick it up today about 5:50pm there was no line and it was a quick pickup.

I do not recommend Best Buy for appliance purchases. It took three return/exchanges in a six month period to receive a functional dishwasher. Lots of excuses from Best Buy and no ability to solve the problem. Save yourself a headache and go to RC Wiley.

What a horrible experience I had today. Went into this Best Buy store to return a purchased item my dad had ordered online. The package had arrived to the house with no receipt in either box. When I went into do the return they had refused to do the return due to me not having the receipt and because I was not the account holder. I've done many returns with no receipts because they can look it up by phone number and I've done a return for my dad and had no issues. I don't remember the employees names, but if it wasn't for their store manager I wouldn't have even gotten my return.

I came to demo some speakers, and apparently the they are unable to let me listen to anything. I spoke with two employees, and both were rude and unhelpful. Guess I'll go ahead and spend my money online.
