Over promise, UNDER DELIVERStrike 1: Reserved a King room, website showed it was available. Arrived and heard "would a queen be ok?"Strike 2: Toliet in the "ok queen" room missing a lid. Really!!! Strike 3: First thing we see in another "ok queen" room is a dirty rag on the countertop by coffeemaker.Maybe being close to Sacramento makes failing to keep promises, broken infrastructure, and airing dirty laundry in public as the best we can hope for in 2024 from this establishment.Inflation is not under control when you pay more and get less.

Easy off I5 but quiet, we didn't hear the freeway noise. Very clean, and the staff were so nice. Will definetly stay there again if in the area.

The rooms are fine and the location is just off the highway. The main reason I gave this hotel a lower rating is because they charge around $5 to use the laundry machines ($2.75 to wash and $2.25 to dry), it has to be paid in quarters and they couldn't provide any quarters which made the machines effectively unusable unless you happened to bring over a dozen quarters with you. Personally I find this to be outrageous, but unless thankfully for most people it doesn't apply to them since few people would do laundry at a hotel.Rooms: It was as expected.Walkability: Plenty of stuff was within walking distance.

excellent customer serviceWe went to the rooftop pool and bar at Canopy for a couple of drinks and to relax at the pool, and were not disappointed. The cocktails and the bartender were amazing — delicious drinks and fast, friendly service. The pool wasn’t loud or crowded and it was the chill vibe we were hoping for. The pool is on the 14th floor and the views from the rooftop at night were beautiful. The restrooms were clean and very spacious, which really helps when you have to change clothes. We’d definitely go back!

DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING: On October 5th, my wife and I started a 5 night stay at this location. One of the main reasons for choosing this location was the Heated Pool and Outdoor Whirlpool listed in their Fitness and Recreation listing. Upon checking in, we were informed that the heater for both the pool and whirlpool had not been working for a while and was not expected to be fixed until April. (No advanced warning from the hotel or IHG corp.) Knowing that would have definitely affected my choice of hotels. The more I have thought about this, the angrier I have gotten. Bill E. from FloridaSafety: The showers here are Dangerous. There are no safety strips or pads on the very slick shower floor to prevent slippage. I personally slipped and fell. Luckily at 80 years of age I only bruised a leg and arm, along with jamming my left shoulder. (Could have easily been a broken hip type fall). I cannot believe that the management never even reached out to me regarding my condition.

Room is ok, the walls are paper thin. Hot tub doesn't work. I previous review said that 3 weeks ago. Definitely wouldn't stay at this location again. Holiday inns are usually nicer.

This building is old, and it shows everywhere. The room was ok, but the shower curtain was broken, and you hear absolutely everything from the rooms next doors!! Our room even had a door that connected to the room next to ours. You can lock it and it only opens if both rooms open the door, but it was kind of creepy and made it even less sound proof. The tv is old so it hasn’t got any streaming service (like Netflix, Amazon prime, Hulu, etc). You only have TV channels, that sucks. The microwave and mini fridge are a bit old too, but they work. That being said, the room space was good, big room. Nice desk if you need it to work or study. There is only one ice machine on the second floor, so if you want ice you gotta go all the way there. The water tastes really bad, and there aren’t many water fountains so you have to go to the first floor for water (and it will taste like tap water).Breakfast is okay. Nothing fancy, but it feeds you. The tables should be cleaned more often and a lot of the time are messy, like people moved them around or something and somebody fixed them. The gym is okay, just a little small, but one of the most modern looking parts of the hotel. The pool is in a very weird place, you have to leave through the back door and it is next to parking spaces (? very odd place for a pool. The person who helped us check in was friendly and it was pretty quick to do.There are some restaurants around but there isn’t much offer.

I usually book the Holiday Inn Express off of the 99 in Elk Grove, but there was no availability this time around. This is a mich smaller in size hotel and busy as well with a group of girl's sports team.Clean hotel, and relatively quiet on the second floor. Wasn't able to check out the gym and pool this time around. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Central location to where my family lives, right off of Elk Grove Blvd.Love Holiday Inn's breakfast, and of course, their cinnamon rolls. The handicap rooms are very large and easy to get around. Plenty of parking. The room had a bit of an ant problem, but I figured that it goes with being in a larger California city and it comes with the territory.Nice visit.

Pros: online check in and out available through sending email. Abdulla was helpful at the front desk. Location: is close to several gas stations and restaurants. Has flat TV and small refrigerator. Printer and computer in the hotel is working.Cons: funny smell in the reception like rotten food and in the floors ( third and first one). I believe the carpet is very old and needs to be replaced. Housekeeping staff are not cleaning the rooms well, stayed several days, never dusted the chest or the commode. NO SAFE BOX. AC is very old and has very loud sound. Breakfast not good, very smelly and people who are serving doesn’t looks following good hygiene.Overall, overpriced and they need to upgrade their facility.

My rental unit's AC broke, and I desperately needed a comfortable clean hotel in elk Grove close to work. I was lucky to find this location because hotels last minute are quite $$, and this one was on the lower end. I walked into a perfectly cool room, which was necessary during the heat wave. The manager was sweet and staff was very professional. The second night, it appeared that someone wanted to have a party at 11 PM next-door so Kelly knocked on their door and the noise stopped. BF was decent, it's not a restaurant, but cook works hard and there were several options and everything was plentiful and neat. Rooms looked new. Ty!

I'm visiting the area for a business trip. The hotel is in a convenient location. The staff are helpful & friendly. Our rooms were very clean & updated. The property is well kept. They serve a decent breakfast as well.

Let me start off that I've been to many hotels before and this one was quite an interesting one. I booked this hotel for my little family and I because we had a family event in town and wanted an area that was clean and quiet. Arrival: We arrived about 30 minutes after our check in time. The parking lot was spacious and very quiet which we liked. We got inside and checked in with front desk. It was quick. My husband then asked if we could get extra towels to our room. Surprisingly the guy, who dressed like he might've been the manager said, "Sorry they do not have extra towels." So my husband looked at him said "Well, then can we get an extra blanket and linen for the pull out couch?" Then the guy responded that they also do not have extra blankets and linen. He said most of their guests would bring their own. We immediately thought that was strange. We've been to many other hotels before and never had this issue. We just said okay since we were only spending a night and didn't think much of it. We checked into our room, left our luggage and left to go grab some food and do some shopping.Problem: We finally got back to the hotel, and went up to our room which was on the 2nd floor, room 213. Everything was perfect up until I started my shower. I pulled the shower curtain and to my surprise I see a bug. It was noticeable because the curtains were white and this bug looked like an light red/orange/ brown color. I immediately yelled for my husband to come look. It was a bed bug. I tried to kill it but it kept crawling and seemed like it was trying to fly. We googled how bed bugs looked and it was definitely one. I grabbed it and told my husband to flush it. My husband went to talk to front desk to let them know. Front desk said the hotel manager is not in the office and for us to wait until tomorrow. He could accommodate us another room but if we want a refund we would need to wait until the manager is in. It was already getting late and having 3 small children, we decided to go to another room and hoping there wouldn't be any more bed bugs. He eventually gave us a new room which would be on the 3rd floor, room 300 and a king suite instead of our standard suite because that was the only room available. He also handed us plenty of extra towels and a linen. We thought that it's ironic because there's a problem, he somehow now has extras to give. When we got to the new room, it was a standard suite which we didn't mind because we need the double beds. We immediately noticed the coffee table was lifted as if someone had just eaten from it. There were hand prints of grease all over it, on the counter under the tv, night stand and even on the bathroom counter. By then my kids were exhausted from the long drive and walking they had. I decided to use baby wipes to wipe down everything. There were a few pieces of trash under the night stand. The worse part was we were scouting the room to make sure there were any bed bugs. At the right corner of the room where the couch and the hanging lamp were, we found a dead bed bug that looked like it was burnt(blacked) dead on the wall, and then there was a yellow thing that looked like an egg or so on top. We took photos of it and told the front desk when he called. My kids were already too tired to leave and look for a place to stay so we decided to wait til morning to speak to the manager about some kind of refund or other accommodations. Checking out: Morning came, and we checked out. I asked for the manager but the front desk mentioned Sophie, the manager isn't in the office and will be in on Monday. I informed the front desk that I am from out of town and if I could leave my contact information and message. I wrote it on a piece of paper and handed it to him. By Monday, I have not received any calls. I called more than 3x and no answers. I finally got a hold of the hotel but the man who answered, which was the one I handed the paper to, informed me she is in a meeting but will call me soon. I still have not received any call

Not really sure what's wrong with this hotel. I stay at Holiday Inns everywhere and this one always comes up short. The room is Ok, but the staff is odd and not friendly. The breakfast isn't as good as the Holiday Inn down the road a few miles. I stay here for work because it's cheap. You get what you pay for. Tonight, the TV service is out. It's always something with this place!

I’ve never had an issue with a Holiday Inn until my visit on 7/19/23. Stayed in room 205 with a broken toilet lid, AC only blew fan air, no tv signal, hair in the shower, broken fridge and the shower curtain was dirty. I contacted the front desk who said the hotel was sold out and the tv would be fixed soon as they were working on it. He said the AC would get cold soon. We kept our food in a cooler as the fridge never worked. Upon check out, I asked for a manager. Front desk said the manager was in a meeting. I asked for he/she to call me. Left my reason. No call. I waited until late afternoon to call and the same guy from the previous night and morning told me he would call me back because he had a guest. I said I need your manager to call me. He said the manager was still in a meeting. I am utterly disappointed in the customer service and condition of the room. Be aware. Especially when you want a resolution and are ignored.Safety: There is security on site but he was sleeping in his car as a homeless man rummaged through the dumpster
