Decided to grab lunch at fiesta today- I had a shrimp burrito, my kids had the quesadilla and steak burrito. Everything was good- the downside- my burrito was cold- once I warmed it at home- excellent.

Called in a phone order of 4lbs. of meaty chicharon was on the phone with Samantha who literally had so much patience with me, we were on the phone for more then 20min! She walked me through prices and how to pay on Venmo very informative about store policy and was so sweet because I had her on the phone looking for the Venmo name for like ever because I decided to place my order a day before New Year's Eve while shopping at Costco and I didn't have my payment ready I had to scramble to find my card which she remained sweet and never showed any frustration while waiting for me! Upon pick up they were busy but my order was fresh and delicious. The kids there are so nice and respectful the food is great but the customer service is top tier!

It’s pretty sad how terrible people are in 2023. I ordered food for my friend and sadly someone hit her with a car and I freaked out and panicked and quickly called this restaurant to cancel cause I didn’t know what was going on they called Uber eats and canceled and keptMy money: I was so shocked so ic Allie’s them back and they refused to remake the order. I was not even asking for a refund when I asked to speak to a supervisor she just set phone down and didn’t say anything when I called back my number was blocked don’t come here these people are crooks.

Went in the other day to get tamales and Papusas for an event. I needed quite a few and went up to the guy to see if it was ok, he said it was and wrote down the order. He said it'll take a few minutes. I waited 15 minutes and then got called to the register, the lady rings me up and says it'll be 45 minutes. I said, I don't have that much time he just told me it was a "few" minutes. I say to just give them cold and well warm them, I said the Papusas are fine- she said it'll take a few minutes. I pay, then she says ok give me 25-30 minutes. What. I just told you I don't have that much time and you said "few" minutes, that's like 10-15, I've already waited 15. She ROLLS HER EYES, and says, you need to place orders this big in advance. I said just give them frozen then. The place was packed with kids screaming from school being let out, the store made no effort to try and manage it. I literally drove 35 mins out of my way to make sure to keep spending locally and with a small business and 100% regret it. Next time, I'll go to La Esperanza and get actual good service. Sorry for inconveniencing your restaurant.

Tried the Taco Tuesday special and they were okay. 99 cent tacos and you have a choice of carnitas, pastor and chicken. You pretty much get what you pay for. I ordered it with salsa on the side. The place itself has a nice charm and atmosphere. They also sell marinated meats and chicharrones and other Mexican favorites. Service was good.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place. I grew up in Salinas and this place is very nostalgic to me. The Tortas are great, the Ceviche is excellent, you literally won’t find better chunky salsa anywhere. Breakfast burrito is great, regular burrito is great. Asada fries are not as crispy as I prefer, but the flavor is there. Get the chunky salsa for dipping and the red salsa to give a little kick to your entree.

For starters, I want to put out there the positives. I love the customer service here, they are always nice and have been that way since they opened. (Ive been going there since then) So they are very consistent in that part. And I appreciate that. Why am i doing a review NOW if ive been going there since they opened? Because I feel like they got complacent a bit in certain areas. For a Carniceria its very simple the way it's structured and all of them are like that. They specialize in meat and a few other things but its not a restaurant. You get in, get what you want and leave. I like the way they built this one with the space they have and did a great job with it. Negatives: The food. Ok, now keep in mind ive been eating carne asada, chilaquiles, al pastor etc. since I was a kid. I lived with a hispanic family for over 15 years, and been to hundreds of carnicerias across the country in 45 years. (And loncheras, different topic as were just talking about carnicerias for now) Washington to Mexico, and from California to Illinois. This one however doesnt blow me away. Heres why. 1) The carne asada was waay too salty. They need to understand that everyones salt intake is different and sometimes less is better. Alow the consumer to salt the meat later as the choose. It was terrible. You gotta tone it down. 2) The tacos were super dry. I had to chug water after each bite. The meat and the tortillas were super dry. Al pastor is supposed to be juicy. Its pork! Pork has a high fat content. If you overcook it or "re cook" it over and over again it becomes flavorless. Adding salsa isnt going to make it better. Try adding pineapple or something on top like you would at a lonchera. 3) The chilaquiles were good FOR ME. But they were spicy as hell! I liked them because i like spicy food, but my daughter or wife couldnt eat them at all. I dont know if they used habanero or what lol. Most places that make chilaquiles make more of a milder sauce that you incorporate into it, then you add your hotter salsa accordingly to it as needed. With these it was the complete opposite. 4) The pupusas revueltas are good. My wifes salvadorian and we both approved of those. Curtido could be a little more fresh, cabbage looked a little old.

Decent product and food selection and typically great service and quality-- but was disappointed to see a surcharge for using my credit card (or debit card) when paying at the counter..., that's enough to discourage me from returning. Unfortunately, the surcharge isn't disclosed until payment-- not best business practice..., at least in my opinion.

Friday's are my favorite days to visit because the birria tacos are $8 for 3 fat tacos. Recommend highly. They have other specials also.

The chicharron with meat were burnt bitter fried meat no skin. Shrimp ceviche tasted as if it sat for days. Not fresh, bitter and cilantro and tomatoes sat and cooked in lime juice and shrimps were rubbery. I ordered via menufy and spent $61 and with tip, i spent total of over $70. First and last. Money wasted. Had to spend more $ for dinner from another restaurant. Unsatisfied custome.

I was treated to taco Tuesday by a friend! I can't believe I had never been in this little market! I was in on taco Tuesday afternoon and it was very busy and a little crowded inside. They have 99cent tacos . Today they had chicken, carnitas and Al pastor. I also added two chicharon tacos but tbh the meat was super hard probably won't buy it again. What I loved about this place is that they have fresh produce. The lady was in there switching the cilantro out and nothing looked old. I have been to other places and usually vegetables are old and soggy! But not here! The place is not that big so waiting around might seem uncomfortable. I felt like I was in other peoples way. They did have music playing so that made it loud. I can't wait to come back and try the quesabirria tacos. The green salsa I got was not spicy at all!
