This is the nicest shelter in the Sacramento area! We went to specifically look at cats and they had over 50. I highly recommend this location and the staff/volunteers were so kind, patient, and very informative.

I had the worst experience with those people. I brought in a sweet dog I had found a few days earlier, I was told I had to take her to bradshaw cause they couldnt take her. Or I could call 311 to pick her up there, but wait outside for them, not in the lobby. It was so hot out, they did not care..I was devastated!

I had a not so nice experience of being placed on a waiting list for a beautiful brindle, and was called at 12pm on Sunday. It only took me 15 minutes to get there, but they had already given her to another interested party. We were SHOCKED! We were told it was first-come-first-serve. Then why even place us on a list??? Beautiful building. Fix your policy on wait list and adoption.

Well what I had a concern about an animal being abused or neglected turns out the animal service officer is apparently in bed with a person that’s abusing these dogs and sees no harm done so this place is corrupt as ever. These dogs have been tied up to the camper for going on three days no food no water and they won’t do anything about it

What a nice clean facility. Friendly, helpful staff. My husband & I stopped by to donate items and decided to check the place out. All of the kennels were clean & suppled with a bed, blanket & toys. Treats & information on each animal hanging outside the kennels. Plenty of parking too.

Everyone was so nice and they were really clean there. I met the doggie named Bruce ( Shark face) and he's such a fun deserving of love boy.

The staff at this shelter paper hands down: AMAZINGThey welcome you in with compassion and kindness,walk you through the entire priss and are patient to answer every question,when I left there yesterday afternoon..I felt a renewed hope in finding my lost German Shepherd who'd been gone 4 days and we live in Vacaville

cats are living beings. they are not a candy bar or a car. they deserve to have more consideration than "first come, first serve". I would prefer if all shelters and rescues placed the cats with the best homes possible, because that is what the cats deserve.

I’m highly disappointed with the TNR program, specially regarding the lack of communication between the vet, staffs, and community members.TNR Walk ins are mon and thurs 8am. Waited at the front door clinic at 7am and thank goodness another staff informed me that the vet cancelled all the surgery the day before. If this staff wasn’t there, my brother, another community member, my feral cat, and I could have waited for hours in the cold.There is no updates on their website. We called but no one was picking up.Same also applies to Bradshaw unfortunately. (You won’t find out if your feral will be accepted until you get there in person. Zero updates on website despite they claim to update very 15 mins)

It is an okay shelter, the workers were not really helpful or friendly minus one younger lady who went out of her way to give me brief introductions for each cat I was interested in meeting! I don't think I would adopt from here because the rest of the staff just seemed judgmental and closed off. The animals are very cute though!
