I love taking my cars to Dan's Auto. He is a very reliable mechanic that does high quality work for a fraction of the dealerships and exactly in line with reliable mechanics. I have also found him to be honest with me and turned me down when the repair was more expensive than it was worth to pursue. I truly trust Dan with my cars.

About 10yrs ago, Dan's was arguably the best auto repair shop in Elk Grove. My experience was great. In the past few years, I've seen some undesirable reviews. I recently needed work done and went back to Dan's because of MY past experience. This time was just like I remember. Their communication was great. They fixed my car very fast. The cost was fair. Bottom line, for me Dan's is still my auto shop.

Called and woman answered unprofessional, then spoke very angry. I said "whoa..that's a bit much, she said thank-yoooooou- really creepy sweet voiced and hung up. Buyer beware- doesnt seem to be a professional nor customer service oriented "company".

Don't ever go here please they use re manufacturer parts I know personally and they charge you full price when those parts are cheap as hell.

Can highly recommend this shop! Honest, fair, kind. They evaluated a possible used car I was considering buying from someone else, and wow was I glad they looked it over, as it had lots of big problems and would have meant only trouble. The people in the front office at Dan's were helpful and courteous and went the extra mile to make me comfortable while I waited for the mechanic to look at the car. The mechanic was thorough with his assessment and found all sorts of major issues that the business selling this car did not mention to me, not only including major mechanical problems but also showing a general air of serious neglect (low on vital fluids such as brake fluid and coolant, etc) that indicated it would not be wise to buy any vehicle from that lot. Please give Dan's a try for your basic automotive needs, I would trust them with anything I needed. They even gave me free persimmons to take with me!

This is one of the most honest, reasonably priced mechanic shops that I have encountered. They are knowledgable and capable of diagnosing the problem with you car, complete the work quickly, while standing by their service. I would highly recommend Dan's Auto Repair, if you wish to get to the root of your car's problem.

$517 and they did nothing to fix the vehicle at all. This is the worst place I’ve ever been to the mechanic couldn’t even explain how he was going to fix my vehicle. Do not go to this place. It is a complete rip off.Services: General repairs & maintenance

First time going there, the issue was fixed correctly, kept me updated on any new findings (without pressure of fixing issues that could wait) and they were on time when they said they would be done! From the friendly receptionist to the knowledgeable mechanic, very satisfied of the service provided! My new mechanic for my car 2014 Silverado!

This shop is tan by the wife and definitely don’t recommend going there ever sense Dan stop been there and running the shop business is different. I brought my car there they said they repaired it and That the part went out again and they don’t know why it went out after replacing it… I took it to different shop and they said car look like it wasn’t touched and that the shop it came from didn’t know wha they was talking about etc Dani’s use ti be the go to shop now I rather pay the cost at the actual dealership cause the prices the wife give you is the same as dealer and the work is not getting done horrible and over pricedService: General repairs & maintenance

I was referred to Dan's Auto Repair by one friend of mine. The technicians are very knowledgeable, professional, reliable and honest. The prices are very fair and competitive. The work is done right. Also the customer service is second to none. The service is excellent throughout.
