I stopped by the Elk Grove location and Matthew was a terrific help! I purchased a Weber Smokefire in 2021 from California Backyard and have already gone through the 3 glow plugs that came with the smoker and he informed me that the Smokefire was still under warranty and gave me a free replacement. I had no idea and he saved me $50! Thank you Matthew!

Can't say enough about the service at California Backyard. Matthew was amazing - found us seat cushions for all our patio furniture and solved my smoker issue in minutes, a problem that's been brewing for a year now. Amazing service, thank you Matthew!!

Great customer Service from all the staff involved in my spa purchase. From the Manager, Sondra Garrity, Samantha (install contact) and the guys who set the spa up. They arrived on time, were very professional and friendly. Answered a lot of questions for me and were very patirent. Moved the spa to the location I wanted. They were just great. I would recommend them for all your backyard needs, especially a spa. You just do not find places of business that put their customers first very often. They do. Thank you all so much.

I already paid hundreds of dollars for a licenses electrician to come out and inspect it. I called your manager who weeks later has not called me back. Saying, if he was going to come, I would need a specific time so I could have my electrician there too (So they can not just blame each other), and so I am not charged twice. No appointment with a specific time frame was offered to me. Your "electrician" showed up at my house, when I was at work, I did not make the appointment or confirm it. I was waiting for a call ( for weeks now), from your manager, to set up a specific time. And by specific time I mean " Hey, I can be there at 10:00 A.M", not a 4 hour window. I do need to work, I can not just take off the day hoping your electrician comes. So how is this me "refusing him access" ?

I had the best experience at this store. This was my first visit to this store. Since my husband has passed away I have had to do a lot on my own. I was greeted by Jen as I walked in the store who was very patient with me and took her time with my request. Jen was very professional, knowledgeable and listened to what I actually needed and assisted me with my purchase. I would recommend this store to whomever may read this and to my Family and Friends.

Everyone at this place seemed super miserable and super rude! nobody helped us at all and I asked Matt about a hot tub that I'm going to buy snd he would barely give me the time a day. I'm glad people have choices of who to buy their stuff from because these people don't want to sell their products! the store owner should be aware of the problem at the Elk Grove store because I'mNot sure they are aware.

Rude staff. Next time you want to start setting up Christmas early in OCT have some sort of yellow tape to block of the entire area and state no trespassing. Walked in willing to drop some money at this place and started browsing holiday decorations thinking it's ready to be sold but an elder lady staff approached me telling me to get out of area it's not ready nor ready to be sold and wait another week. Walked right out of there immediately. To think I almost bought an outdoor fountain there same time. Oh well your lost of a customer. I could have helped you guys clear out a fountain and bought some expensive holiday items.

Nice enough place to purchase and view things in person. We bought an ultra premium luxury gas grill (Twin Eagles) that took almost 5 months to get. No calls from CB to update the progress unless we called first. Less than a year in, we are in need of service. Apparently, there is only one person who handles this, so you are asked to leave a message and wait for a call back. The DMV model of customer service. This is a $5000+ unit, not something you can find at a box store. Way beyond a Weber or Naploeon. Hand built to order in Los Angeles. I expected exemplary service and responses when buying something like this. Guess I will call the manufacturer to see if they can get a prompt response out of these folks.
