If you are looking to purchase CD's or to open an account please consider Banner Bank. My mother recently passed on and being her successor trustee I had the job of closing her accounts at several places. Of the four banks/credit unions that she banked with Banner Bank is far superior in service and the staff did not cause me more heart ache. I appreciate their ethics and kindness.

Just opened a free checking account at the Elk Grove branch, 5 min before closing. So far been a pleasant experience with friendly customer service: the bank officer continued to help me open the account and set up the online access after bank was closed, and the teller the next day was informative and very friendly also. The reason for only 4 stars is the inconvenience of the "up to two week wait" for your ATM card, so you wont have access to your funds after 5p or on weekends when the branch is closed, until the card arrives.

Lower level employees are fine but the managers care very little about the people. Branch is a revolving door for Branch Mgrs. Had fraud on my account and they made me feel like I was guilty and ultimately did everything they could do to stick me with the charges. Not exactly your friendly bank next door

ATM malfunction. $300 taken out of my account after machine stated that it could not complete the transaction. I entered my PIN again for a $200 withdrawal th king maybe the machine was low on cash and was rationining. I did get the $200 but not the other $300. I went inside and there was nothing the tellers could do to belp except tell me to contact my bank to get the funds back. When I asked if happens before one lady stated that it has happened before and it's because the machine is a dinosaur? If a branch knows there is an issue with their cash machine, why wouldn't it be fixed or disable so no one has to deal with this? And since I do not bank with them, there is not much that can b done. So merry Christmas Banner and thanks so much. Going into Christmas is not the best time to be short of funds. Cannot post review without a star so...:

I totally agree with the last negative comment. I once had a Heloc account with them and they closed my account without my approval I complained about it to every administrator assigned to this bank and they put me on their black sheep list. Another time my taxes were not paid by their auto pay system and I had to pay huge late fee's and again they left me hanging. Their rules change with with their the blind leading the blind purpose in life and then they hammer you with penalties against our accounts another form of them ripping us off. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WORSE THAN BAD, SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW.
