First and last time trying this place. I touched the door to enter 9 min before their closing time (I was unaware) and this snarky older woman pops out wagging her finger at me saying ah ah ahh, not today you don’t. Myself realizing they were about to close. Understood, you don’t want to work late and I didn’t know it was about to close but don’t be rude about it. You lost some customers

I've donated items in excellent condition to this location, items that will definitely benefit the store.
Last two times I've been there i have been treated in a way that I consider to be unprofessional and rude. I do not appreciate the way my family member and I were addressed when we donated items. Associate Barbara was very rude upon so called "greeting us. I feel it is a slap in the face after supplying them with so many usable goods.

This place is way overpriced. TJ Maxx and mall prices, except everything is used and beat up. Scuffed used furniture for $250 a piece, literally a side table for $250.00!. There's also an unpleasant oder in the store, smells like an assisted living facility.

Although a sign near the entry says new lower prices. I found the prices still high, even for Elk Grove. Higher than Goodwill who is also overpriced. The quality in some cases is higher than similar establishments, but not that much higher.
I've lived hear over 2 years. This is only the 4th time I've tried to find something here. I usually do not. Today I found a nice pair of new with tags pants I planned to give them as a gift to my daughter to wear to work. When I am checking out. The check out volunteer clips the the original manufacturer tags off! I asked why, because I've never seen a second hand store do this. She says so people don't try to return them to the original store. Interesting. So goodwill, salvation army, nor ANY other thrift, resale, Second hand store does this but American Cancer society decided they want to protect large retailers. While at the same time in the same store, As I shopped, I saw more than one item on display with a tag saying "NWT, item maker. The item model" as if the store wants the buyer to pay new with tags but then cuts the tag off at the register basically reducing the perceived value instantly. You can't have it both ways. Honestly the stores they claim to be "protecting" are well equipped and policy rich to keep people from trying to return things.
Last, the check out lady, who was nice enough, and just doing her job says well sometimes we miss a tag or forget... I'm a retired, living a better than good, melanted grandma life. I took offense because that means the staff is making prejudgements about who is and who is not likely to try to return things.
I won't be back. Too many other stores, estate sales, etc. want my second hand thrift store. I don't give my money to places like this.
I can donate directly to cancer society if I choose too.

I came here to donate and it was fast and easy. The staff were great. The donation door is on the west side of the building.

This is a unique store, is like going to a boutique where you can find items that aren't for sale at other stores. On clothes they have a variety of good brands, vintage items, furniture and household items, is fun to shop there, and talk to volunteers too. Definitely a place to visit often!
