“I distinctly remember how outgoing and friendly the staff at this particular Gelson's was last night. I used to shop at Century City but moved to the South Bay and the one in Manhattan Beach has the best layout and staff.”
“I love going to this store because they serve you very well. All employees are well-honed and professional and very friendly. The store is very clean and tidy. I love ready-made meat. Thank you so much!”
“Aldi‘s is my favorite anywhere I go I checked first to see if there’s an Aldi so I can pick up my regular items every week. You can’t go wrong with all these first and then go to your other grocery store to add in the things that they didn’t have, great value!”
“Walked in today for god knows what but so glad I did . Aqui acceptan EBT y es la unica michoacana Que accepta ebt para las Nieves y el cafe frio : by far the best customer service I received today! Thank you store owner ! Not to mention the lady at the ice cream spot. Very good customer service, sweet girl.”
“Absolutely recommend this business for the prime cuts of meat, poultry, meatloaves, cold cuts etc. the wall of wine and beer is absolutely outstanding which includes some really good Champagne, Single vineyard wines from around the world. Cheese and cheeses, Mozzarella and burrata and slabs of Parmesan cheese.”
“Once you have visited England, there are few memories as powerful as the food you enjoyed. Sadly these memories are almost impossible to recreate once you're back home as many products are very hard to locate outside the U.K.. Except they're not! Get yourself right on down to The British Connection! From Branston Pickle to Violet Crumble to Hob Nobs to Maynards Liquorice Allsorts to Sticky Toffee - it's all there! You won't break the bank, and the folks are super nice. Tell them Don send you!”
“This sandwich is their original creations and tasted amazing! This is more than just a liquor store, it's the beloved local shop with great meats, deli, and more. They are good workers and sell homemade chorizo etc.”
“It's a great market .Unfortunately you have to shop early for vegetables ,fruits, meats ,and bread. If you are not early these selves will be empty .But ,a good place to shop”
“Filipino groceries. Huge selection, fresh meat in the back, fresh seafood. I'm here at least twice a month, then go grab some chicken skin by the pound at the Grill City mini turo turo spot inside Seafood city.”

1930 W 7th St, Los Angeles“It's a nice little neighborhood store. The people running it are nice, friendly and helpful. They have a pretty decent selection of merchandise available. If they don't have exactly what you want, you can find something that will work. There's street parking and it's even easier to walk to.”
“Victor helped me at the smoothie station- he was SO insightful, PATIENT (there were some demanding customers), & so pleasant. He is very efficient at his job—- & made the modifications I requested happen. This location can be a bit chaotic, but he’s a breath of fresh air when you get to the counter!”
“There's a lot of things that I can buy there, and avoid traveling to a grocery store, and standing in a long line with people. I love the way they remodeled the store, and they have just about everything I need, even my pet's food.”

2510 CA-1, Hermosa Beach“I love Lazy Acres. I have lived in Manhattan Beach for over 23 years. I actually live walking distance from Lazy Acres on Artesia just a few homes down from Miracosta high school. The property Lazy Acres is on used to be the auditorium and indoor skate park where my sons attended because they are members of the church, Hope Chapel. The staff at Lazy Acres are wonderful. Robert, Danny and Pedro, along with the store associates are all really nice except for this one person named Tiffany! I went into Shop one day, and as I am bagging my own groceries, my choice, because I feel it's best to help out when you have some groceries and I did have a lot, she gets upset because I used two of the premade double bags she had prepared and put in with the other bags. She had the nerve to say to me, "You keep taking my bags!". I tried to ignore her, but she said it again And the fact that I'm bagging my own groceries...It doesn't matter if I'm doubling the bags myself or if she's bagging the groceries. I'm sure she would use the double bags or if there was a bagger available they would use the double bags. She went on and continued to argue with me how she didn't want anyone using the bags that she took the time to double. First of all, she's on the clock and the time she spends checking, doubling a bag, bagging the groceries or not, it's going to be the same for her, and I found it very rude for her to talk to me the way she did . I did contact the manager and I hope that she was spoken to about this situation. If that had been my first time in that store, and that happened to me, I would never return, because I can't believe someone could be so rude to a customer who is bagging their own groceries. I know you all are wondering why I would give the store a five star review. I did so because the store is wonderful and the staff is wonderful but it's just that one bad Apple that stood out and I wanted to bring the situation to the table and let others know.”
“Kind family owned business for more than 20 years, they are always understanding and kind. The meat is delicious and very active in the community. 10/10 it is always good to support small businesses since they are a rare commodity these days!”

10826 Venice Blvd. UNIT 105, Culver City“The staff here is very helpful and exceptionally friendly. The prices are good and they have a good selection of products. Obviously, as expected, the store has niche Brazillian and Latin American products that can be hard to find. The only downside I would mention is that they don't accept Calfresh/EBT”

1605 S Hoover St, Los Angeles“I am Frederick Martin. I am Security Officer. I worked at the CVS on Hoover and Washington. One day on my way to work I stopped in this market, and I was blown away. The meat department selection was amazing!!! The meats in that department were the best I had had since I been in Los Angeles and the meat butchers cut any of the meats just the way you like it. One other thing, I have a thing for all vegetables. Yummy. The produce was so superb!!!!. It was so fresh and beautiful, and the produce clerks are always attending to it. Damn near want you to eat it raw right then. I need to mention something else about the meats, once you freeze it and thaw it out, it doesn't get tough to whereas you have to 'doctor' it up, nor does it lose its original taste or texture. All of the staff are so very friendly and helpful too. Even outside in the front of the entrance they have more produce of fruit and it's all well taken care of. You can't find one rotten piece, not like in your major chain markets. Now yes, parking is an issue, because the strip mall is very small, but right across the street is a Subways and a laundry mat where you can park. With that being stated this is a community-based area and they really support their businesses. No hassle. I brag about them and support them 1000%.”
“I grew around this store and its one of the only ones left since I was a child....so many trips with my mom to this store to buy food to make dinner!...it's not the fanciest, but I promise u they have a lil bit of everything...their CarniceriaIs great..it's a family owned small business and they're still there for a reason...really friendly people....I pretty much go every 2 days at least....lol”
“Fantastic family-owned small business. Their products and hospitality caters to the surrounding community. The market itself has seen a fair share of upgrades which creates a welcoming family environment.”
“I went to buy injera and grounded meat. The store owner welcomed me with beautiful smile and a great customer service. The time she went inside ( another room) to prepare the meat which I requested to be grind. I started looking around all over the store. Every single item placed well in organized. If you actually want to buy something with out asking:- where can I ...? Question , you will find it easily. It's very neat. No dust at all. I recommend the owner to keep this great job for future. If you are looking Ethiopian food, clothes, herbs, ANYTHING! I won't have enough space to mention all. You should go to Geni mini market. Everyone is welcome and you will leave the store with smile after getting quality customer service.”
“The food, people, and vibe is so immaculate ? y'all actually treat Me like family.Pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls don't artificially inflate your prices. I will drive here until I'm 80 to get an ice cream cone for 2.99 if you keep it at that price!!!”
“JONS International Market was the ONLY local source that I was able to identify for a particular imported delicacy I was looking for (looking all over the LA basin for). The staff was friendly and VERY helpful...and the had the "no sugar added" baklava that I was looking for.It remains my only direct source fo "no sugar added" baklava. The staff, by the by, remains friendly and VERY helpful.”
11AM - 8PM
1721 Centinela Ave, Inglewood“This small humble store sells great tasting injera, a staple (ethiopian style pancake made from teff, which is used to scoop up food) for eating Ethiopian dishes. There are other places that sell injera, but the dfferent types of injera available at this store is the one my family prefers. Not only is it tasty, but it seems to stay fresher longer. It may be a bit more expensive than other places, but it's worth the extra cost. It's also a good place to buy other items related to things Ethiopian, especially spices. One thing you should know is customers are served behind the door that is half open on the top. The sweet and kind elderly woman who works there is so helpful and polite. She fetches what you want from inside the store for you.”

9025 Main St, Los Angeles“To be honest I've passed this location so many times and never paid any mind to it. It's not often I stop by latino markets. This was a treat. There was plenty of parking and the store itself was very very organized. You wouldn't have a problem at all locating the items you need. Their produce department is beautiful and organized. After speaking with management, it seems the prices on their produce changes every couple of days. It makes sense that they would do this seeing that you want to put the right price on produce that's in season. My mom and I would often chase different locations looking for beans with the name brand of "Goya". We don't have to switch any longer. I love the fact that they sold different types of ole school candy and they also carry various types of sea food. Customer service is very pleasing as well. I would definitely be back to pick up different items and refer others who may be looking for certain products that would frequently be sold in establishments such as this one.

4710 S Broadway, Los Angeles“Best place to buy bread for 99¢ a piece instead of four pieces of bread for $5 way to expensive hopefully superior groceries always keeps that price for it's bread and never goes higher”
“I always end up shopping here instead of Costco or Whole Foods. It's great that there is a Costco nearby so that I can take advantage of their famous $1.50 Hot Dog and drink. But after that I go straight to Choice Market where I buy just what I need and nothing more.”
“I love this commissary! It has a wonderful selection of delicious fruit and everyday products. It even has fresh sushi made in store! The kids love getting ice cream here for a great price.”
