I had the worst experience with Mia. I requested to work with Mia based on the reviews and comments. Don't trust the comments. Mia was not responsive at all. I requested a video chat, but never got one. She only called me once to say she can't do a video chat. Stated she will review my info and get back to me. Didn't hear anything for two weeks. I called, and another person mentioned Mia will submit my info. Mia finally gets back to me saying I owe the state money with no explanation or clarification. I requested a few times to hop on a call so she can explain and go over the information but I got no response. I reached out through email, H&R portal, and I called again. Not once did Mia get back to me.
After a few more weeks of no response from Mia, I ended up working with another company and the experience was way better. They literally did my taxes in less than 2 hours.
If you're gonna work with H&R, I do not recommend Mia. She was of no help.

Look - taxes are not fun, right?WRONG! MARIA TONG MAKES TAXES FUN! Each year I come here with my ramshackle folder of documents pretending like I'm a real adult and never knowing what I'm doing - then Maria shows up like a superhero and guides us to victory and a healthy refund!Seriously, it's not just her knowledge, it's her sense of humor and the way she talks you through it. Save your time and money. I provided all of my tax documents, but many were overlooked / ignored. I found many mistakes in my return. I spent more time double checking their work than it would have taken for me to file on my own.

Went here on my only day off to complete my taxes. Called ahead of time and told person who answered the phone I had several 1099 forms. She set me up for an appointment an hour later with a woman who had no idea how to do that. Was very surprised this was over the head of the accountant that she sat me with but the woman was nice and said she would have someone else call me at 2 pm to help me. 2 pm roles around no one calls so I called them to see what was going on. I was told the woman was busy and someone else came on phone and said I'm looking at your forms and told me the wrong information. Needless to say they wasted 3 hours of my life and I left with my paperwork and have to go somewhere else because on the ineptitude. Unless you have a regular easy W2 that you could probably do yourself on turbo tax I would stay far far far away.

Felt like this was a huge waste of money and time. I downloaded documents myself and have to process payment to IRS myself. So why did i pay $230 to HR block when i could have done the same with turbo tax for cheaper??? Rip off!

I file every year with H&R Block since 2016 and even sometime before then.I have not had any issues and it is always a smooth process. Thank You

Last year Mia filed the taxes and there was a mistake in the company name which she said she would amend the change after I get the returns . Never responded back even after following up through emails and also I called them. The response from the lady who answered my call was we don't amend. She said she would call me back . Never had a call returned.
