Cambria Hotel LAX offers a convenient location close to the airport, making it a practical choice for travelers. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with recent renovations giving them a modern feel. However, some issues affect the overall experience. Guests have reported that the hallways on the 4th floor smelled like marijuana daily, which was unpleasant when opening the door. The bathroom sliding door does not lock and was not clean, and the mattresses tend to sink, making sleep less comfortable. One guest was disappointed to find the sheets dirty and had to change them themselves after calling for a replacement. The hotel’s lobby is small, and the bar/restaurant offers standard fare, with some guests finding the food tasty and convenient, especially during bad weather. Service experiences vary; some staff members are friendly and helpful, while others are less welcoming. The front desk staff has been described as unfriendly at times, but others found them courteous. The hotel provides a free shuttle to LAX starting at 6 am, though early flights may require a rideshare for around $20, which some guests found more economical. The shuttle service can be slow, with waits of about 30 minutes, and communication to locate the shuttle sometimes requires multiple calls. Overall, Cambria Hotel LAX is a decent option for short stays, especially for those prioritizing proximity to the airport and affordability, but potential noise and cleanliness issues may impact the stay.
Rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Not the friendliest staff in the world though unfortunately. Nothing egregious just didn't feel very welcome so to speak.

A solid option for visiting LA if you don’t want to spend $$$ on hotels in the famous tourist areas. And it’s only a 30 minute-ish drive to those areas via the 405 or La Cienega Blvd
