“Sonia” the cashier was very rude and disrespectful called us lazy for not downloading the app, then as we’re leaving she’s rolling her eyes at us while talking to the security guard. We never even shop here it was our first time. Won’t be returning!!

Rude cashiers. Very bad customer service. You would think an assistant manager would give good customer service. I was wrong Mary is a horrible assistant manager. I don't know how she was able to be an assistant manager she can't even give good customer service

I’ve been coming here for years. I like the convenience of the parking. I usually find what I need . Not crazy about the produce. Too pricey . I’d rather go to 99 cents store next door. I like the new digital coupons. You need to Becareful with prices. I purchased a meat platter with cheese this weekend . I was charged 19.99. It was on sale for 17.99. Also they forget to bag your items @ times. This has happened twice. I called this morning to report my lost item. The employee said I need my actual receipt so she can view it on the camera. All I had was the receipt from my smart n final app. I tried to explain to the employee on the fone, that the cashier seemed new & some other details. She contradicted me every time I made a comment. Live & Learn! Next time I’m going to check to make sure all my items are in my possession. Even If I have to ask cashier as well!! Employees need to me more courteous & use they’re PR skills as well!! I gave it 3 stars because of parking & distance.

11/12/23 ~ @ 6:15 pm - trying to exchange 3 cokes I got because I wanted to buy the apple ciders instead. But the cashier in her 50s/60s? gave me an attitude or I would say telling us in a scolding way that we shouldn't hold the cokes and wait in line to exchange, we should tell her first and leave the cokes there and go line up. We never shop there and our first time was being scolded by a cashier instead of explaining to us their process. Well, maybe if you have an exchange service or put a sign up that we need to leave our stuffs at the cashier for exchange products first and then go line up, we would know what to do. You need to be educated that ppl have different cultures and we don't just barge in and cut the line to ask questions. She then called her manager and spoke in Spanish and then came back to us but didn't say anything and keep asking the next person in line to pass us and helping them, instead of telling us that we need to wait. I was like, she gave me attitude since the beginning and I had enough so i told her if it's to much problem we don't need to exchange it, then she said something under her breath and didn't answer me. I was like okay, then repeated it and she said we need to check the camera first. Then why didn't you explain to me that you need to check the camera first to make sure we didn't take the cokes in the store??? We paid for these, what an attitude! And at the same time we already had the apple ciders sitting there so we decided to just buy them because we had the 15% off coupon and they didn't even take 15% off and said it didn't work. Also they didn't fully refund us the right amount either. I really had enough so I just tell them, nvm with the 15% and told them they didn't refund us correctly either, and left. No wonder this store has a 2 stars, should have a 0 star. The manager was also there to help but also useless and showed no helpful attitude. This is the worse review I've ever given to any stores in my yelp profile. I am Smart so this is my Final shopping there - that's why the store's name called: Smart & Finals.

Cashier that was there on Saturday 08/05/23 . Was upset because I didn't remove the items out of the small plastic basket . She told me Why didn't you take out the items out of the basket. I replied I'm sorry I didn't know i was suppose to do that. In a very sarcastic way she replied that's for next time. I told her I didn't know that it was a rule. ? What happened with employees just doing their job? Instead of telling the consumer what is expected of us or what is our job at there store , according to the cashier. I'm sad that some people have no customers service experience.

They sold me expired food. I bought two packs of Pure Leaf lemon tea for my students and found that the drink expired nearly a month ago. I also bought two packs on Mint Kit Kat and realized they expired for nearly four months. The sad thing was I did not notice this until my student finish eating one of the two packs. I've been to this Smart and Final several times as it is the closest to where I live. However, after the recent purchase, I may have to select another store. I would give zero stars if I can.

This was one of my favorites stores to cash my wic ,I try go get my wic groceries as I do every month, the cashier was over charging me he said i went over 30 dlls so I paid for it because I was like ok because I had people behind me in line waiting too ,but then next he said is 70 dlls I was like for what Exercuse me ? He said is just said is 70 owed still I was like but for what I'm sorry I jus paid with my wic and the diferencie I did too , a lady named Jessica came over and said you need to pay you have a lot of stuff I said I did pay I have my receipt I showed her and she said well you still owed 70 I was like but for what ? Cereal , lemons and potatoes , raspberries and strawberries did not pass I was like but I paid the difference just now too ,30 dlls and she said but still is 70 and she said pay or we get everything from the car back ,I said why I never said I can't pay for my groceries I just want to know why is it that I'm paying for ? She said well I just told you is not our mistake you don't make good choices, I said I don't make good choices for what ? She said you didn't not pick up the right wic items I said I been here before and I always get the same and I had no problem before , she said well are you going to pay or not ? I said yes I will only pay because I'm responsible for my shopping she said I can put everything back I said no I want everything that's why I got it ,This had never happened to me before and you are being rude I told her the way you are talking to me ,I'm paying for my shopping but I know it's not fair I have To pay 70 dlls for I don't know what overdue .. so she said slide the card again I said shy the wic one ? She said yes because I have to do everything all over .. and I did as she said then she started laughing and said oh it just didn't process so now you owed only 18 dlls I was like I don't think is funny that you laughed because you were making me pay 70 dlls for overdue and now you say it was only 18 ? She didn't even apologize the cashier who also mistaken said sorry to me I said it's not your fault is hers because she is rude and she was overcharging me .. it was eventually both of their fault but at least he wasn't mean like her , the manager should help both of costumer and workers while they have problems she treated me bad since the beginning.manager name Jessica /cashier Jose /Store 373 El Monte Ca .

I shopped at this Smart and Final for the second time. I was very disappointed ☹️ with the cashier. She didn't have any courteous to greet me and my friend when she run up our items. And said nothing to us for the whole time even when we were leaving the storeShe gave us an attitude likes we are getting the food for free at her expense.This store probably needs diversity training on their employees especially this cashier. They need to treat customers fairly and equally. Be courteous if you want your customers return to your store. I hope management pay attention to these impolite cashiers and correct the problem. Thank you very much for listening and your concern.
