Our family went here for 10+ years and for multiple cars. Chao and his team are the most honest mechanics we have ever known. We trusted them with our cars and were always given reasonable quotes. Auto repair here is reliable and well done, we have never had any problems. Sadly we moved out of state but I still very much appreciate doing business here and always recommend this shop to family in the San Gabriel valley.

There's a reason this place has good ratings. Chao provided great service, kept good communication, and attention to detail. He made sure we understood the issue with the car and offered options for future issues. This shop seems busy, which shows how good a service they provide. Will definitely bring my car again for any other issues.

Impeccable services. Chau and his team are exceptional and knowledgeable. Their prices are great and very honest. In the past, I've always taken my vehicle and family's vehicles to auto shops in Rosemead, San Gabriel, or the northern side of El Monte. Never will I go to those places again as they keep chopping me up on their overpriced and underwhelmed work. I was actually recommended by a friend here back in 2018 to get my old Acura ILX worked up- mainly oil change, tire rotations, battery, etc. So I've been their customer since 2018. I've brought in a Toyota Tundra to have them repair body damages, and they were able to take care of it promptly by replacing it, and the paint job is just magnificent...think it costed about $1100ish. Other places would've slapped on some whacked unnecessary replacements and take their sweet time and charge like $3k-$4k cuz they claim insurance and all that random bs stuff. I've also brought my mother's minivan to get its maintenance and change the window-- they were able to take care of me on that. They've never let me down. They don't fix things that don't look broken and will educate you why-- and if your car has warranty (and they know), they will always tell you to take it to the dealership first to have them take care of it, otherwise, bring it back here.Languages- Chau speaks vietnamese, cantonese, and english. The other guy (Alex?) speaks Spanish and English. And there's another mechanic he speaks Vietnamese and just light English. All of them have helped me, so they are all AMAZING.They open on Saturdays in the morning. Otherwise, they're a regular 9-5 on weekdays. Call them in advance just in case if you have big problems like major car repair, dashboard lights go haywire, etc. For little stuff like oil change, tire rotations, batteries, wipers, etc...just bring it in.Chau and Silver Star Auto, always looking out for their customers. Thank you for your excellent work...this review was long overdue.

Dishonest and a rip off. I brought my Lexus in because of a cylinder misfiring, and upfront the owner told me that it was going to cost $2,200 because of a cylinder head and $250 to do an inspection. Tony's Auto fixed it for about $300 - because of a spark plug and a coil. Would never come back here.Service: Transmission replacement
