If you need customer service at this store or any other Home Depot you better go to Lowe's! This is the worst place to find help in store and on the phone is impossible! Can't fill a order with contractors involved if there life depended on it! Hopefully you know where everything in the store is located because you can't find a employee to guide you either! Truly the worst store to get assistance but usually well stocked! Go to Lowe's! at least you can find someone to help!

First off, let me clarify where I am applying the 5 stars, it's not for this specific location but more specifically it's for the service I received from Brenda (cashier/associate/representative) from this Home Depot. I don't want to nor do I feel the need to write a review for this or any Home Depot location because each associate encounter I interact with is either a "hit or miss" in terms of assistance or knowledge/experience. Today was very different, the service I received from Brenda validates that there are still "great customer service" representatives out there! How do I know this?! In my younger years, I worked for an employer (banking) who prides themselves on "customer servive" and therefore felt the need to conduct special customer service training at least once a year and on the weekends. I'm not sure if they still do this. Anyhow, there were certain points from this training that I noticed/received from Brenda. As I was waiting for the "cash line," I witnessed the cashier finishing up with a customer and began to close her register (cash tray out to balance cash vs receipts). She noticed me waiting, and instantaneously put her cash tray back into the register as she called me over. She then proceeded to give me a warm welcome, nice greeting (pleasant tone), eye contact and a smile (can see the smile from her eyes eventhough she's wearing a mask). I asked her a question (about returns), she answered it by stepping away from the plexiglass (for me to hear her better) and pointed in the area where I could do the returns if need be. Then, she rung up my purchases, which came out to $21.51. I gave her $22.00 in cash, she grabs an extra penny from her counter, gives me $0.50 back. I don't know about you but I dislike holding the extra pennies, so I thought this was a very nice gesture. Then, she handed me a bag with my receipt inside, and told me to have a nice day. Again, with eye contact, a smile, and a pleasant tone. From now on, this will be my Home Depot of choice, and I'll always be on the look out for Brenda's assistance!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Phone customer service! I called for inquires for air purifiers and the Lady from appliance department picked up and told me that she did see some air purifiers left but they are the display models, and she transferred us to what she called "the correct department", telling us appliances department isn't the right number to call. So when the other department picked up, they told me there aren't any air purifiers left, even the display ones are sold out, and they transferred us back to appliances department, saying that I should verify information with that lady. When that lady from appliances department picked up, she got sooooo mad, and yelling at us, like we are the stupid one keep calling the wrong department. And she's like " air purifiers are 4 aisles always from me, I just told you that I saw them on display, don't you understand that?" I mean, come on! We are the confused ones. You guys push us back and forth to different departments. If it were not for covid-19 or the fire, we would just go visit without going through such Hazzard. Home Depot at El Monte have such horrible phone customer service during this situation.

Bill from plumbing is by far the best associate we have ever encountered at Home Depot. We needed assistance within the department and he immediate helped us out. You can tell bill is a great associate and takes his job seriously.

This review is for store associate in the Garden Center, Johnny. He went above and beyond to assist me with a complicated issue. He was able to sort it out rather quickly. He also helped me find other items I needed, and provided me with information I needed on an indoor plant purchase. He was also friendly & courteous during a time when many people can tend to be a bit frazzled with the current circumstances.

Horrible customer experience! The bill was $24.01. We gave out $40 to the cashier lady, then she asked if we have $5.01. We paid her total $45.01, but she just gave us $1 back. We asked our $20 back but the lady seemed falling sleep and no idea how much she received. Then her manager came and keep asking why we gave out $45.01. Why? Because the sleepy lady asked it. Then he told me they will call me if they have extra $20. I want my $20 back!

I normally shop at the monrovia location but since this was on my way to my destination, I decided to give it a try. Waited in line at 10:00 am on a Wed. for 2O min. Grabbed our flowers. Besides Trader Joes, they have a great selection and very fresh! Decided to see by chance if they had disinfecrant wipes and spray. One of the stockers said.."no..no wipes. We put them out first thing and they are all gone." I grabbed 1 Gal of disinfectant. Shared with her how hard it is as a first responder to find all the safety stuff I need to continue to work. The other worker asked me to follow her and she was so sweet. She gave me the pkg she had put aside for herself! I wish I got her name. My 8 yo twins were so happy they thanked her too as they know how i have been searching for wipes for a while. Checkout....quick, easy and service with a smile. I had my hands full as i didn't have a cart. The checker walked towards me and grabbed all the stuff out of my hand before i dropped them. Just the kindness of the staff alone, I will begin shopping at this location. As they say in business..everyone sells generalky the same products.. all prices relatively the same. What sets the businesses apart? Customer service! This location has it!

Do NOT go to this HomeDepot, I repeat DO NOT go here. An employee named Daniel Martinez is a rapist and pedophile ! And is STILL employed!! Home Depot DO BETTER, Many young girls have came forward about their experience with this man. He must be fired ! Customers should feel SAFE and NOT have to look over their shoulders about who is working there or if they will be assaulted by an employee. As a Company you should be embarrassed by hiring this person and I HOPE as a Company this person will be fired!! How are you hiring these kind of people ??? Home Depot PLEASE re-evaluate your employees. I will be reaching out to your Human Resource team.

I had the opportunity to rent a 10ft box truck yesterday with the help of peter from toland truck rentals. The experience I had was amazing specially it being my first time renting the truck from home depot. It was easy simple and service was amazing. The truck ran great and was great on gas. I had it for about 2 hrs and only paid 23$ which I was charged for time not miles like u-haul. I would definitely recommend there truck rental service here at Home depot

Oscar Ramirez was a tremendous help to us when we came to retrieve our curbside order. He guided us to where we needed to go and even got another person from the curbside department to help us because we couldn't get through on the phone. He is a great employee, Home Depot is lucky to have him!

Came in for 200 decorative bricks. Asked around was sent to the correct aisle once there noticed there was only about 100 of the bricks I needed. Looked for someone who could check if they had the other 100 I was looking for. After loading about 39 bricks associate came back told me they did have them and told me to stop loading what was there and that they would just take them out to my truck. Paid waited a couple minutes and out comes Rio I believe is his name couldn't really read it but he's on a forklift with the bricks and Alex and Alexander walking next to him. All 3 proceed to load the bricks directly on my truck! Thanks for the service guys!!

Rude cashiers during covid-19. All 5 were useless and lacked manners or customer service. Do not want to shop here anymore. She acted like we were bothering her and most cashiers avoided us with no direction. It's like we had the virus. And only one person was helpful in gardens.

Well it happened again I ordered online did the curve side pick up they got my info quickly they brought out the item but it was assembled I did not request that it be assembled intact I made sure I checked the box that said I didnt want it assembled so they had to go back and get another took them 1 hr from when I got there till I left take in mind that they txt me saying my order is ready for pick up finally get it and the young man who brought it out this time did load it in my truck I get home noticed the box is damaged so took some pictures I open the box and begin assembling it the items inside had some kind of gunk I side and lid was uneven very disappointed as this has happened here before most of there employees do a good job but some just dont really take their job seriously the young lady who brought my item the first time seemed bothered when I asked for one in a box probably why they took so long also they item should have been ready on the customer service desk and they for some reason brought me an assembled one and then said they had to bring one down from upstairs still doesnt justify waiting for an hour i will definitely not be coming back to this store location even when its 4 blocks away from my home not worth the head aches I will just live with the defective product dont want to go thrue the whole ordeal of customer service lines and dealing with them again already gone thru this with other online orders and they just dont seem to have the whole online ordering system down

We bought an home appliance, the delivery guy said it would not fit and refused to install, we have previously measured the space, it for sure will fit, explained to them, they still refused to install, wouldn't even try and took our appliance away. Called home depot customer service, they told us they could deliver only "IF THE SPACE DOES NOT FIT THEN YOU CANNOT RETURN". Couldn't believe what I heard, I asked them what if it is a faulty appliance then we still cannot return? They said "NO YOU CANNOT". Canceled the order, bought from Costco, fast delivery smooth installation. ZERO STAR FOR HOMEDEPOT! Buyers be aware!!!
