EL MONTE TRANSMISSION! They are honest, professional, and overall great place to get trans work done. I had my gmc Sierra towed from lake Elsinore! That's how much trust this shop. The owner is great, and any questions that I have about my transmission he was able to answer, and actually show me after he drop the transplant how many metal shavings were in the actual pan. He explained out basically my transmission is going out it's gonna need to be repaired... he recommended that but either way he wasn't trying to be pushy salesman. It was very knowledgeable and I really appreciate it! You want great work, and Knowledgeable shop , and trustworthy ??? Go to EL MONTE TRANSMISSION!

Honest! He showed me the codes that I was already aware of and was able to give me an honest turn around time even if it was gonna take longer than expected due to the holidays. He also showed me the parts that were taken out of my truck. Which I also know at least belonged to a 2005 f150 because I have replaced that particular part about 10 years ago. I also over heard conversation he was having over the phone with customers as I was waiting. Telling them that he could fix their issues with thier vehicles but could not do in the time that they were requesting. A lot of places would just tell the people yeh to earn their business and deal with them later.It's been a few months and no issues with the truck, so I'm happy ! As far as the value it was fair based on my Google research, so I was content with it.

Great shop. Called in and got quoted a great price on changing out a rear main seal. Had a slight hiccup but I was never worried. John and the guys at his shop were all very professional and instead of making excuses, they backed up their work and came up with solutions. It has been over a week and everything has been great. No more leaks.

I was having transmission issues and I called around to see who would give me the best price. John was quick to answer my call and was very polite, but straightforward about what the service work would entail. He was able to provide an estimate on how much it would cost and do an evaluation the same day. My transmission required a rebuild and some engine mounts were damaged so he offered to fix them while the engine was out. I agreed to have them done to avoid having to pay out extra later on. John informed me it would take about a week to a week and a half, but he was able to have my car fixed in about 4 days! I would absolutely recommend El Monte Transmission to anyone who is looking to get transmission work done. He is honest, hardworking, reliable, and an all around great guy!

I took my 2004 Honda Element AWD to El Monte Transmission following several shift solenoid code alerts. Initially, I attempted to fix it on my own but soon realized I was in over my head and required expert assistance. The traits that best characterize my experience with this shop are integrity, friendliness, expertise, and fairness. Thanks to their work, my Element is now running smoothly as if it were brand new.
