Love it here. Something for everyone to see. A great experience. I was very surprised, they even have an original Alcott. A very pleasant surprise. Everyone should share this experience.

Staff is friendly, and there are a variety of historical items to see. The museum is set up into sections so it feels like you're going back in time to explore a downtown local. It's clean, and there are bits of history everywhere with an explanation for all. Staff is also available for any question you may have. No tickets or fees necessary to enter.

What a wealth of American history is here in this small museum. Loved the tour guide and being able to absorb so much without a huge crowd like in other larger museums...if ever in the area come visit. Loved that white RR!! Thank you

The history of El Monte is more complex and interesting then you'd think. They have collections from way back. It's worth your time to visit and support. Check the hours, they are limited. Easy to spend an hour or two.
