Just an FYI if your looking to use this bank to buy a home Lupe Sanchez is very unprofessional very rude no communication, forgot my name and denied our loan last minute. Won't ever do any business with this bank ever again.

I don’t like this bank. It takes me over 20 minutes to cash my contractor check at both branches.They have such a tedious verification system even after the phone verification.I agree with incompetence. The last time I went into this branch I received a funny looking $100 bill (perhaps a misaligned cut), and then my credit union ATM rejected the bill about 20 minutes later.I called the bank to address my concerns and they basically told me it’s not their responsibility or liability after I left the bank. I said, they have insurance and need to verify the authenticity of the bill. I had an ATM receipt from my bank network. They were and there was a language and comprehension barrier. I told them they need to check their cameras.I couldn’t confirm if the bill was real or fake but I got rid of it. I was too lazy to turn the bill into the government and open an investigation. The watermark looked fake—looked like a bootleg George Washington and not Benjamin Franklin.In the future I’m just going to give the check to my credit union and listen here with Cathay Bank.

I'm on year 7 on a million+ dollar loan with Cathay Bank and never missed a payment. The loan officer asked for annual financial tax documents/statements which are too large to send by email. And threatens that failure to provide these documents will result in rate increase. Did I mention we've never missed a payment? So he sends me a Box link which I'm not able to upload unless I sign up for an account. This bank obviously has not updated their SW to the 21st Century. But it's my fault right?

What can I say about Cathay Bank. Bad customer services. Out of date technology. Bad place to work for. low pay, no team works. Boss favoritism. Stay away from this horrible bank!

I don’t understand why needed 2 tellers to help ONE customer, the one in front of me. I just needed to make a deposit and it’s such a simple transaction. They knew that I had been waiting for quite some time and didn’t bother to give any greeting.

This bank is far beyond my expectations as a business owner. I really like how they behave their customers and it's unlike big corporations. You can call and speak to a human who already knows you and understands your needs.

I wish yelp can let us rate 0 star. If you have chance take your business to other banks, please try to do so, give you whole different experiences. The Special Asset Officer, Jannie Yang has worst attitude in the phone i have ever experienced. She was extremely rude said " you dont even know how to read the numbers, let me TEACH you how to read the numbers." Dont give me any chance to talk and ask questions. She was very inpatient and rude. I Filed complained on their official website and also called their customer service. No one take care of the case, they wont even provide her manager's contact info to dealing the case.

I'm sitting here waiting for someone to even acknowledge that my hubs and I have been sitting here for the past hour. No one has come up to us if we needed help or said Hi, NOTHING. No one has said a word to us, all we need to do is to add an additional signer to the account. I understand that they only have 2 personal bankers and they are a little backed up but cmon it doesn't take that much time to say Hi, has anyone helped you? Or can I help with you anything? Nothing, the manager walked by to us and didn't even bother asking if we needed help, I asked PEONY if she can assist and all I i got was can you just sit and wait but she can help people as they walk in. This branch only favorite and help those customers that opens large account with them otherwise good luck trying to get any type of assistance from them because they don't give two crap about anyone else that walks in and they talk about they provide great customer service. And to top it off they tell you.. I was supposed to make an appointment and they can't help because they're closing already.

Cathay bank is a very trustworthy bank. I am have the house mortgage at this bank. For some reasons, I need a refund. After I called the customer service, I got the help of Roy Cheong from the loan department. I got the check by three business days thank you very much!
