Rude owner and refused to accept gift card even though the back of their receipt advertises gift cards.

The store is disorganized and untidy. It does not honor the Ace Hardware promotions.

Never shop there. Most items overpriced. Many items have no price marked so you'll discover cost at register. I knew original owner & this guy isn't Max (not even remotely related or acquainted to original owner), but others pretend he is. Current owner is rude. Watch your wallet at this locale.

Do not recommend at all. Rude, very filthy store prices do not match their online prices. Will tell you to order online if you want the price it says on website. Will not honor price with in store purchase

Way better than any home center. They actually have what you need, are knowledgable and very convenient. In and out

Friendly, quick, affordable. I’ve been having trouble with my car key and even though it doesn’t have a chip, I was quoted $200.00 - $350.00 for a new one by every locksmith I called, including AAA. I came here and they duplicated my key for $4.99 in less than 10 minutes. THANK YOU

I just left this store location. They denied renting a carpet cleaner to me for the day because they said it is for El Monte residents ONLY. Although I have rented here twice before as recently as last summer with same address on my ID!! The clerk went to back after looking at my ID few times then returned and said Bob said no. I asked who Bob was he said manager. I was puzzled explaining I was in their book already. They said sorry no.. El monte residents only I asked where did sign that.. They said there wasn't any. Avoid this store if you are not from El Monte!!! I attached pictures.

This hardware store is affiliated with Ace Hardware and is packed with historical parts and tools you can't find at the warehouse or big box hardware stores. I was looking for a door stop to prevent the door hitting the kitchen counter, and was only able to find it here. Using the Yelp application, it lead me a roundabout way to get to the store that is on Santa Anita, but road construction and traffic does not allow you to turn in from the southbound side of the avenue. If ever I am fixing my home, I'll come here first for specific tools or parts that can't be found at the chain stores...

they should have option of a minus score rather the give theses folks a 1 star7-22 a store you should only drive by as your going to pay twice of what ever other store is selling the same items for.see on internet 1 qt of paint thinner is $6.99 at ace. hey folks the name on store is max and ace has something to do with them but ace hardware is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.so get to counter and the $6.99 price has increased by almost 100% its now $12.99 plus tax of which pushes it to $14.xx.she state there was a price increase. (fyi not this much in less that 30 minutes from internet to the store) if i had the time i would have gone over to grants hardware in el monte and with this "bandit" store i will sure start to think of other stores rather then ace hardware.remember next time you need a product go to grants hardware or mission hardware in san gabriel.this store is a place you should never go to as this will be the last time i will purchase any products from "ace hardware"
