Dr Holly is an excellent vet. Very caring and knowledgeable. Love that she takes the time to really listen and provide the appropriate steps of care for our furry loved one. Thank you Dr Holly. Bria and I appreciate you tremendously!

Dr. Holly takes a lot of time explaining what is best for your pet. You never feel rushed in and rushed out.

We have been taking our pets to the Healing Center for more than eleven years now. Drs. Brad and Holly Cahoon are caring, thorough and compassionate. The Vet techs are wonderful and treat my fur babies like they are their own. I always feel confident that my pets are getting the best possible care that they can have. I highly recomend the Veterinary Healing Center.Liz Fambrini

I've been to this clinic before and they were very nice and informative. I called today for some basic information on potential costs of services. The person on the phone was unable to provide even ranges of potential costs and became annoyed when I asked additional questions. There is zero need to be impatient or annoyed with someone asking for information, even if the person asking those questions doesn't understand your questions.

Our dog was in distress, 2/22/23/@11:30pm. Knew had to put her down. The receptionist was only concerned about where is my $195. She asked a few times... one-ninety-five. Money wasn't an issue, but she was like give me your $195. Heartless, but the nurses, Technician, and Doctor/Surgeon were excellent. Highly recommend, They were so caring and spent the time we needed with us and explained everything. The best ever! They just need a new receptionist.I am so sorry. Wrong place. Please ignore my review. I have no opinion because I haven't been here. Would delete this post if I knew how. Can edit though. Was meant for Veterany Wellness Center in EDH.

Under new ownership and it shows that they have gone corporate. Poor service, lack of support, and they are rude. Told me to go to emergency vets because they lost 3 doctors and are down to 1 and they can't treat my dog. My dog shouldn't suffer because you have poor succession planning. Spoke to Crystal and gave her the feedback too. We will be looking for a new vets which is unfortunate because we have been coming here since our dogs were puppies...

My pups have been clients of the Veterinary Healing Center for several years now; seeing Dr. Richards, McKearny and Calhoon. All are incredibly knowledgeable, caring, hard working and keep up to date on the latest information. The supporting staff, vet techs and front desk staff are amazing at what they do!

Been taking our animals here for years; quality of care & timeliness of appointments is great. Years ago when our cat died they were so kind & considerate — even sent us a sympathy card. A few years ago we moved across town from the center. There are a few vets much closer to us, however, we chose to remain loyal to VHC for their excellent care.

We've been taking our dog Kiba here for about 5 or 6 years and always get great care from them. The staff is really friendly, and our vet, Doctor Holly, is really great too! She's always great when our pup is sick, in getting him in the path to recovery! Would definitely recommend them!

When it comes to health care you only have one choice. That choice is the veterinarian you have been with for over 20 years. It’s true we can’t take our pets anywhere else but Veterinarian Healing. Whether it be a regular checkup or god forbid something major it’s in the name veterinarian healing and that’s just what they do.You know you can’t buy love and you can’t buy piece of mind but that’s exactly what you get when you bring your pets to Brad and his staff at Veterinarian Healing. They even do holistic healing, acupuncture, massage therapy and so on.I can’t say enough I don’t trust anyone else but Veterinarian Healing.Michael AndrewsDaniel Schubert

0/5 DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED ANIMAL TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! On Friday April 29th my 11 mo old golden retriever had developed an inflamed eye overnight. I brought him to VHC as an emergency patient. Upon arrival, I waited in the parking lot of their office due to them practicing FULL COVID PROCEDURES. After about a 30 min wait I passed off my dog to one of their vet techs. Shortly after, I received a call from Dr. Cahoon. He explained to me that, "THIS DOG" -Dr. Cahoon (never referred to him by his name), has Horner's Syndrome. He asked me if anything traumatic has happened to him recently ie; being tied up in the backyard, yanked on by his neck, etc...I communicated to Dr. Cahoon that nothing of the sort has happened to my dog, Boone. He said this RARE syndrome can also just randomly develop, idiopathically. The recovery time could be anywhere from weeks, to months to years OR he could never recover. He also decided to mention the possibility of a tumor/cancer that could be causing this "Horner's Syndrome" as well. He recommended further testing to be done so we know more about his "Horner's Syndrome" and to rule out cancer. The testing that was recommended to me was blood work and x-rays. At this point I am crying in my vehicle, scared to death at the thought my dog could have cancer. Dr. Cahoon informed me that they had an opening that day to put my dog under anesthesia and run the recommended bloodwork and x-rays. I agreed to the testing because at that moment I truly did not know what to do. I was scared, devastated, and heartbroken. After the testing was complete, I received another call from Dr. Cahoon informing me that his x-rays looked good and he would touch base Monday with the lab results. He also mentioned that I am to begin transitioning him immediately from a collar to a harness. Shortly after, I was passed back off my dog in the parking lot where I completed paying the hefty vet bill, was given a printout on Horner's Syndrome, eye ointment and was told I'd be hearing from their office on Monday with the results. After I was able to process what had just happened, I took it upon myself to research Horner's Syndrome all night long and had a gut feeling something wasn't right. None of the common symptoms that went along with this rare syndrome matched what my dog was experiencing (I was basing that purely on physical symptoms). April 30th I took Boone to a vet office in Diamond Springs for a second opinion. This Dr's office took Boone, my mom and I back to the exam room and explained what Boone was experiencing was DEFINITELY NOT Horner's Syndrome. This vet was just as confused by Dr. Cahoon's diagnosis as I was. He did not understand why he didn't recommend we take him to an eye specialist. I mentioned we ran bloodwork and x-rays and the vet was even more confused as NONE of those tests are consistent with Dr. Cahoons Horner's Syndrome diagnosis. This vet was kind enough to make a call down to UC Davis where Boone was admitted and seen on Sunday May 1st. More examining was done and the vet at UC Davis determined that Boone had an eye infection and gave us steroid drops that would clear it up in a week. Monday, May 2nd waiting for a call from VHC. At the end of the day I finally get a callback. I spoke in length with Dr. Cahoon on the phone regarding my frustrations over his mis-diagnosis and suggestion of unnecessary testing. He responded defensively and was unhappy that I received a second opinion that "undermined" his. He offered a FULL REFUND to me before I had even asked for one. He made it CLEAR that I along with Boone were no longer welcome at this practice and he would have his office manager, Crystal, call me the next day to issue the FULL REFUND. Tuesday May 3rd I receive a call from, Crystal, the office manager. She immediately began interrogating and berating me in regards to this situation. She let me know that how I felt was wrong and that I needed to retell the whole situation to her
