This place has been nothing short of life-changing for me and my family since I joined in June of 2022. The environment has a real community feel and is welcoming, encouraging and attitude-free. The coaches are friendly and highly qualified at teaching good form. Here you'll find people of all experience levels, ages, shapes, and sizes, as well as those with past injuries, enjoying a challenging work out together. All of the routines are designed to build your overall strength and fitness in a healthy way that makes you feel stronger and more energetic in your daily life. The format of the classes is 50 minute group circuit training which includes cardio, mobility, stretching, resistance training (weight lifting) and a challenging conditioning finisher. There is a ton of variety in each class and working within a time limit and with other people is very motivational. Since I joined last year, I have felt huge increases in my strength, energy and overall fitness... and I've gotten leaner. My wife and daughters also work out here now and really love it. The kids program is also fantastic at introducing kids to fitness. If you're looking for a great place to get healthy, I highly recommend Mini's House of Pain!

Love this place and the trainers are amazing! I feel like I’m finally on the right path for my fitness goals thanks to Mini’s. Nothing fancy (which is why I never went to gyms in the past) and all business.

I don't usually write reviews but I couldn't help myself. Mini's House of Pain is hands down the best gym in El Dorado Hills. I look forward to working out every day! The workouts are challenging, but not intimidating. Vince Mini and all the coaches are fantastic - knowledgeable and friendly. They provide detailed instructions on form to ensure the best and safest workout, while always encouraging you to reach your full potential. In addition, the place is immaculate. Everyone wipes down their equipment after every use and the air flowing through the large open garage doors makes it feel extremely safe. I'm a person who has tried many different gyms and workouts and I have to say that I am incredibly happy and impressed with this place.

So, I joined MHOP a week before the COVID lockdown, and that short week of classes proved to me that MHOP had something different to offer. The coaches were and still are fanatics on form first, resistance second. During the lockdown, Vince and the coaches ensured that I was continuing to work out via Youtube classes, with regular contact from the coaches via cell phone conversations. This went on for two+ months. When it was time to get back to the gym, and have in-person workouts, my initial impression was reinforced. The coaches ensured I was moving correctly, safely and mixing up the workout routines that differ daily, and are changed entirely on a roughly monthly basis. Great to have the movements changed, and keep you always looking forward to the next day's workout that lasts ~50 minutes. At the end of each class you will have been challenged, but never embarrassed if you cannot complete the workouts. They are goals, and as Coach Gabe says "This isn't the Olympics". You will have at least one coach monitoring you as you progress through the workout. There is always at least on pair of eyes on you at all times to ensure there is no 'Pain' at MHOP other than minor (good) aches after you're on the way to your car to go to work/home. The gym is clean, and very open. The gear is wiped down and sterilized after each use. The gym has rollup Garage doors to keep the airflow going naturally; the HVAC is shutdown during COVID to minimize airborne contaminants. And while the equipment is top notch, the real difference at MHOP is the people that run the place. You really do feel a part of a family here. They know your name as soon as you walk in the door, and the coaches remember your limits to keep you motivated without feeling you have come up short. Since coming to MHOP, I feel a commitment to continue on, and if you don't show up at the class of your choosing, you will likely receive a phone call from Vince or your class' coach to see if you are OK. I don't like getting phone calls, and so far, I've only received one. It's a matter of respect. They respect your time, and in turn, you should respect theirs. So, show up on time and give your best effort for ~ 1 hour. It's in your best interest after all, and your results will reflect that respect and effort. Make the call, and come to MHOP. It's the best place in town to get rid of some sweat.

Would give 10 stars if I could. My son started going here about a month ago, 3 days a week, and is loving his "Young Athlete Training session". The trainers here are First Class and I love that the are associated with Oak Ridge Athletics. Just my humble opinion and 2 cents worth. ??

I have been a member at MHOP for almost three years and I have to say it is the best gym I have ever belonged to. They always have been amazing but with this COVID thingy they have really stepped up to the plate. This whole time they have made sure that Monday through Saturday there are multiple exercise programs for us members, both live Zoom and recorded. Coaches check up on us multiple times a week to make sure we are staying active and to see how we are doing. Vince also has 2-3 live chats per week. He keeps us informed and motivated. Vince and the coaches, who are all trained, knowledgeable and caring, have gone way above and beyond to keep us strong and moving! LOVE this place!

I have attended Mini's for about 6 months now and have seen tremendous transformation already. They have a workout plan in place and trainers on the floor making sure you are moving and lifting correctly. The overall body workout has improved my flexibility and strength while increasing my energy level. I recommend Mini's to all of my friends and family. They care about each person and make sure you are getting the most out of each workout. 5 stars from me!!!

Let me first say that I am a gym owner in the Bay Area but live in El Dorado hills and have been to many other facilities for recon and also for my own well-being.
