We have been very happy with the service at Gold Key Boathouse. Communication with Christina Anderson at the front desk is excellent! We trust the team with any repairs and general maintenance of our boat while being stored in a clean and safe indoor facility.

I have had a great experience with the team here for the last two years. My boat has been well taken care of while in storage and it has never run better from the service they have provided. Prices seem to be very competitive when I have compared to other places. Very glad I found them.

I come here to get propane refilled for my 5th wheel where we are currently living. Twice now I have come on a Saturday, as it says they are open until 1pm. And twice now I have gone before 1pm and the door is locked with a note saying they are in the warehouse and to call.. but then nobody answers the phone.. it’s unfortunate, I will now be looking for another place to get my propane refilled. I tried more than once and both times was very disappointed. If you do try and use this place to refill your propane, hopefully you are able to do it during the week when you can guarantee those working will actually be available.

This is a first class facility with amazing staff!! We love to be on the lake, but when our boat needs to be safely stored and secured we chose Gold Key Boathouse to take care of all of our boating needs.

If you’re planning on getting propane here you better reconsider. So, they have a nice propane refill spot, but they cater to their boat storage people and they bring their boats out of the warehouse and block the propane station so people can pick up their boats all day long. Was told all day that they couldn’t move boats to make space at the propane spot. That’s just lazy, why even offer propane service if that’s the case. The owner needs to educate a few folks on how to run a business, I would have reduced payroll after hearing this kind of nonsense, just super lazy in these tough times, good luck with that business model.

GoldKey staff have made the past year a welcoming experience. Shawn and Jeff are always so professional and kind. They always greet me and ask if they can provide assistance. It makes the tedious experience of having to drive back and forth to storage a pleasurable trip to know that they will take great care of their customers.

We needed a place to store our boat since our storage facility closed down last year in 2019. We search many places and picked GoldKey because of its reviews and the look of its facility. We had very high hopes but then again didn't expect too much since we are not particular with our boat. We just needed a place to store and take it out once or twice in the year. From the moment we signed the agreement we immediately regretted our decision. Although most of their rules are there for you, their guidelines are just plain ridiculous with no wiggle room. We have many example but a few, we couldn't go in to charge our boat ourselves (to save $25 or whatever the price). We gave in considering there may be all sorts of insurance reason why we couldn't ourselves. However when we picked up our boat, it was a quarter charged. To say we were upset, is a complete understatement. We had a kids party to bring the boat to and to sit there with 10 tweenagers pissed because we have to wait for a boat to charge was not pretty! GoldKey will charge for every little thing. Kinda like a add on at a nail salon when My-ling asks if you want the special scrub, or lavender scent buffer, or a cute butterfly design. You end up with a huge bill afterwards. We ask for our boat to be out at a certain time, then come to find out, they pulled it out of the warehouse the night before, leaving your precious ride sitting weathering the storm outside. Why pay the high prices and not be happy or satisfied? This is just a little that we have experienced. We will NOT recommend to anyone. If asked, we will have more horror stories to share. Staff or anyone that we come across at this business does not care one bit. Completely disappointed especially when they are local business.

Poor front desk service. Simply rude liars. We left when the indoor storage facility implemented winterizing requirement. Save $500/year, move your boat to sac county.

Was hesitant to go back after a questionable boat service experience with personnel that have since moved on from GoldKey (approximately 2016/2017). Needed an urgent pre-purchase boat inspection on a used boat we we were looking to buy and called GoldKey a few miles away. George answered for the Service department and saved the day, with an appointment within less than 24 hours, and a fair rate. He listened to our request and made time in his busy schedule to inspect our boat, so we had a clear understanding of what we were buying, helping with our negotiation. Not only did he save the day on short notice, but he then proceeded to spend time with us upon pick-up to ensure we understood every last detail of the inspection - going above and beyond in my opinion. Very thorough. A total professional. Happy we took a chance on going back. And we will definitely be going back for to George and team at GoldKey for our boat service needs in the future.

Was in a complete pinch since our forklift ran out of propane in the parking lot next to our building at the end of a job. Went to 76 since they advertise they do propane. 76 IS A JOKE! Gold Key is a blessing. They were closing but the manager was completely understanding and found the guys to fill up our propane tank. He went above and beyond to help us out in a pinch and we are completely grateful. As business owners in the business park we really appreciate other business owners working together. He's earned our respect and anytime someone wants to know where to go for storage or other type services, we are definitely recommending. Thank you!

Great storage facility. The people there are exceptional especially Mike. The service department can fix just about any issues including mechanical and hull. The detailing at the end of the year makes the boat look like it just came off the showroom floor. Awesome property to store your boat with easy in and out access.

I have owned boats for 35 years and stored them in many locations the guys here at goldkey are absolutely the best. I have had my boat at goldkey for over 8 years and never a problem, well done.
