I'm a black male 73 years old maybe that is way after preceding to the medicine area I pushed the bottom for service,after waiting two other customers arrived in the area and the worker arrived instead of asking who was first he stopped at the first person and even after I advised him that I instead should have been assisted he continued took there items to the front of the store before returning to assist myself and the person that was there ahead of them also Will not continue to shop anymore

Security guard engaged me in an unprofessional manner making suggestions about my intentions masquerading as a customer service intervention. This means, he needs to mind his own business.

Armed security guards, merchandise behind glass doors, one way in one way out, security barriers at each register...... ***update i just read all the reviews and the owner is replying saying that he apologized for the inconvenience and im sorry to hear about your experience blah blah blah these reviews are over 6 months old , so please spare me your sympathy and do better then treating your customers like prisoners!

I had an emergency situation and race to Safeway to arrive by 11: 55. There are people walking out but the security guard tells me they are closed. I told him it's only 11:56 You still have 4 minutes. He said I'm sorry but we're closing early for the workers. I explain that there's no point in having a closing time posted if you don't close at that time. It bothers me that Safeway lies to customers about their hours of operation. I would not have wasted my time driving across the city to get here had I known this would happen. I asked for the managers name and I was told it was Chanel. They told me they didn't know her last name. This poor type of customer service definitely needs to be addressed. Stores do not get paid to be closed

I will NEVER set foot in this store again! Once you are in, you are imprisoned inside the store! Don’t you dare have forgotten something in your car or just decided you didn’t need anything because you will have to either stand in line to escape or barge through the self checkout line and then you still can’t get out without a receipt!!! My husband was using the self service water machine and I needed to use the restroom. Walk back to the other end of the store and it needs a code!! No employees visible and no one at service desk. I hate this customer treatment.

Large store, fully stocked, ample parking. Recent remodeling has made aisles extremely long. Very strange. Are they playing the IKEA game and forcing shoppers to walk past more products hoping we will buy more?

I used to shop here occasionally when we needed items like toothpaste, coffee, alcohol, but they’ve added so much security plastic preventing access to items that I don’t want to go here anymore. The waiting for someone to come by to unlock it adds 5-15 minutes to every trip. Then, half of the time they bring the item directly to the register so you can’t inspect it and have to go to a specific register to check out or wait in line to ask the register to give you your items. One time someone grabbed the completely wrong product for me but I only found out at the register. Another time I apparently pointed out the wrong item but I didn’t realize because the staff member took it straight to the register and I never got a close look at it. Horrible shopping experience. Why should we have to pay for other people’s crimes? This is going to lose Safeway my business at the least.

This store has no understanding of what basic customer service means. Every time I shop here is the same terrible experience. No shopping carts available, the parking lot is dirty. Inside everything is caged or kept behind locked display cases. They have more security standing around than cashiers available. The employees don't give a flying F about the customers. Your management needs to do their job or leave so the right person can make a difference.

The barbecue drummets had no hint of flavor. I had to drink a soda to get the dry meat down. The ready-made salad saved the day.
