Wish there were zero stars because this branch is an embarrassment and customers are treated horribly. Put a check in BofA ATM for deposit, they can't find it and are saying - ATM's AT BANK OF AMERICA ARE NOT our RESPONSIBILITY! Useless lying tellers saying check was re deposited into business account it came out of! They don't give a flying fig about their customers and their own negligence! Customer service MINUS ZERO STARS! Take your money elsewhere

I had a disappointing experience at Bank of America. The service was terrible, with a long line and just one cashier working at 11:30 AM. I waited nearly 30 minutes to deposit my cash. It's clear they don't prioritize customer care.

This isn't an indictment of the staff at this BofA branch. They were understanding when I notified them. I was a victim of card skimming since my last stop at this ATM. I'm regularly in this area and the ATM is convenient spot to get cash from my EDD card. My last visit was on a Saturday. Two ATMs were down, so I had to wait behind another customer. She probably got hit too. By Tuesday 4/18 someone made a withdrawal at this same ATM while I was across the Bay in the city. BEWARE using this BofA ATM and go inside the branch or to another location.

Unbelievably long lines, and now the teller says they're unable to cash a check without approval from the supervisor - who is on a break for the next half hour. I'm trying to conduct the simplest transaction and it's not possible (and it's taking over an hour). How is this ok??

I literally walked into this bank five minutes ago to be told by the branch manager that there were no tellers in the building they all called in abs she had no access to work tge cash drawer. The first teller wouldn't be in until 10:15am.I had to drive across town to do my banking. B of A please do better this is tidy and embarrassing

If I could do less than one star on this review I would. Absolute JOKES at this branch. Unbelievably unhelpful, rude over the phone, questioned me when I made a deposit and then made my experience take SO much longer than it needed to take, 3 days later I'm still calling back and fourth between support to get this crap sorted and the woman on the phone has the nerve to give me attitude for asking questions. I don't even do yelp reviews but they are so bad I feel like I HAVE to! I don't even have yelp... I downloaded this app and logged in just to tell you to avoid this place. Save yourself the migraines and just go somewhere else

I want to complain Bank of America branch at El Cerrito, California. My Mom's EDD card was locked due to some reason. I called the number at back of the card. They told me go to the bank branch to verify my Mom's identification. I made an appointment at 9:30 at El Cerrito branch. When I arrived at the bank, after I said about my mom's EDD card problem. They even did not take a look or listen to my explanation. They just told me they can't do anything and let me go back to home call EDD with very bad attitude. It's kind Like the people with EDD card are not welcomed at Bank of America. I already made an appointment I don't want to waste my time come back again. With my persistence, at the end they told me to call the EDD now at the branch and they can verify with EDD. Actually the correct process is Make an appointment with the bank branch then go to the bank call EDD to let them verify. You should let me call the EDD at the bank. But not let me go back home call EDD again. Very bad experience about Bank of America branch at El Cerrito. Also just because this they noticed the police. For me, It's kind like racist to EDD card holders.

I would give it a zero if I could. Granted, I went there to order a new debit card only. I went there back in July, the manager had a very condescending attitude about my visit and couldn't be friendly right off of the bat. The lady that ended up helping me wasn't very friendly either. She said that I should be able to say all that I needed to say about my experience there through a survey they'd be sending me via email, but I never got one. I don't think it is a good atmosphere for me to set a foot in unfortunately, the service was terrible.

Horrible discriminatory customer service. I went in to cash a personal check given to me by a B of A account holder. I was told that the amount of the check exceeded the limit that they were able to cash for non account holders. I asked what the limit was and she told me they couldn't disclose that information. How was I supposed to know she didn't just make that up on the fly? She was also very smug about it. Luckily, I just deposited it at my own bank but what if I didn't have a bank account? Y

First of all, BofA as a whole has awful service. I would not recommend them to anyone. I also have had a hard time dealing with this branch, dealing with a wrong charge to my account. After we spoke about it, they agreed to remove it. But they had to confirm my identity! To reverse a wrong charge? And, one piece of identification was not enough, and as I was giving them yet another, the call was dropped. They did not call back. I called back twice and they did not return my call. But these are just examples - it is BofA as a whole that is not worth your time or money.

5 Plus Stars for Veronica A Jackson, Elizabeth Payton Thomas and the Branch Manager for the best Customer Service experience. My appointment required different levels of expertise. Each associate never made me feel like I was just being passed on. They each asked the right questions, repeated my needs back to me and they executed kindly, professionally and clearly. Just before Veronica and I completed our task. The Branch Manager entered Veronica's office and clearly communicated that the next step would require one more stop at the counter. She waived me over and assigned me to a wonderful teller. Again, I was asked all the right questions and completed my purpose for coming to the branch. I am so grateful for the El Cerrito Branch and the staff. Perfect way to complete the year.

I guess this bank doesn't care about reviews since there are so many bad ones and their service is awful. I made an appointment to take care of my dead father's BoA account and to open a trust account yo take care of expenses. I showed the person making the required appointment and told her what needed to be done. When I went to my appointment it turned out that the accounts lackey who was helping me was the wrong person and I would need to make another appointment. When I complained about this he rolled his eyes and had an audible sigh. I asked to speak with his manager who was equally useless. Not once did either express their condolences so along with being incompetent they are also just plain rude. This is behavior that is consistent with this North Carolina bank (Bank of Italy no more!) and is why I left them years ago. Since I have to go to a credit union, where he also had money, I'll do my trust account there (as I did with my personal finances years ago) and go to the BoA branch in Palo Alto to get all of our money away from these incompetent jerks - then I'll be done with southern hospitality. Ditch this branch! Ditch this bank! Ditch banks!!
