I went there for the first time to fill my prescription yesterday. They told me they just received it and I need to come back later. Disappointed, I accepted since it felt rational anyway. The lady who told me tolf me to come back later also told me I didn’t need to show her my insurance card or anything at the time. I came back today first thing in the morning and waited 20 minutes the line to be told since it’s my first time there, they set up my account and passed my prescription just then and I need to come back AGAIN to have my prescription filled. The second lady (I think she was the manager) seemed friendly, polite, and apologetic, but the lack of the respect to customers’ time and crew training for cashiers is completely visible. There are many other comments reflecting my point.

I always appreciate shopping at this CVS. The store is well laid out, clean, well lit and in a convenient location with neighboring shops. In addition, the staff are friendly and helpful.

They are not open until 12am as advertised on this platform. You’d think the store manager would adjust hours on Google Maps which most closely matches how customers find them?

Hours listed on Google business are inaccurate.

Avoid. Understaffed, lots of products locked up, long effing line for pharmacist that’s also understaffed.

I went back to CVS Pharmacy in El Cerrito 94530 after 5 years on Apr 5th 2024 around 9;30 am (had a really bad exp back than too) to pick up some off the shelf syrup. The clerk "Sharmila" seem to be quite friendly with 2 elderly customers ahead of me and I was like wow. As soon she saw me, she went cold, no greetings, would not greet me, pushed the cough syrup bottle around with her scanner (she obviously) did not want to touch it. She scanned and than took 2 steps backward from her position. I paid with my card and she did not offer a bag or anything...just total silence. I was not coughing or sneezing or anything like that and in fact I had a mask on. I got really upset at the way she was treating me. While stepping away, I just said "I am not contagious or anything and you acted very weird". She matter of fact said...sure..whatever....there was this 2nd clerk who looked up and smiled at me. What is you policy for staff, do you not train your employees to be respectful to your customers? If every customer who buys some kind of medicine has this kind of exp. (you sell a lot of Pharmacy stuff) no wonder I went back after 5 years and will never ever go back again. If your staff feels venerable with no reason they should wear a mask and gloves.Thank you and I hope you will look into this and address this. Thups

Went to photo kiosk at CVS in El Cerrito Plaza. I made 96 photo prints and tried to use my 40% off coupon on a bill for $42.06 (without tax). I was shocked to learn that the discount applied to just one photograph! Who on earth would be so illogical as to think the discount applied to just one photograph and not to the entire bill. Stores should have discounts that encourage spending rather than infuriate customers. When you have such stupidly petty rules, you just create disgust rather than loyalty.

My husband had the huge run around. They lied and said they didn't have a medication. Then he went to another cvs and they said they have it in el cerrito plaza. These people do not know what they are doing. What a mess.

Buyer Beware - CVS is overpricing their products in a big way. We picked up some gyneric Tylenol (Acetaminophen 500mg 300 tablets) over the weekend. We were shocked at the price of $25 but bought it anyway because we really needed it. After getting home I searched for the same product online and found it cost between $10 - $15 on Amazon, Target, Ride Aid, or Walmart. We bought some cough drops a few months ago and the price seemed overboard as well. Realizing now that they were likely overpriced as well. Might want to do some comparison shopping while you're there just in case, but people shouldn't have to do this.
