7200 Moeser Ln, El Cerrito“I can't say enough good things about ECPC. It's a great community for kids and parents alike. The teachers are kind and provide a lot of interesting projects without forcing anything onto the children. Both of our kids wanted to stay longer when it was time for pickup. I only wish ECPC had space for older kids so we can stay longer.”
“(Translated by Google) Very nice place with a good base to help children and adolescents.(Original)Muy bonito lugar a parte buena basa para ayudar a los niños y adolescentes.”

1317 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley“Ashkenaz is, most likely, among the most unique cultural dance halls in the entire Bay Area. From Folk, Country, Zydeco, Reggae and Baltic Folk Dancing to Blues, Jam Bands and singer-songwriter competitions, you really can't beat the range of experiences one could have there. This place is as good as it gets, and I'm so grateful to know about it and to have enjoyed it for quite a few years!”
“I had two of my French Bulldogs spayed at AFC on 4/8/2024. To say the least, I was very nervous as brachiocephalic breeds, run a higher chance of complications with and from anesthesia. Because of this, most low cost spay/neuter clinics, including local shelters will not accept Frenchies or other brachiocephalic breeds. However, not only did AFC accept my girls, Dr. Goh and her team took EXCEPTIONAL care of both of them! The organization of the entire clinic is stellar, from scheduling (only done online around mid month, so may be a bit of a wait to get an appointment), to drop off and pick up! One of my girls, Paris, bounced right back to normal within 5-6 hrs after picking her up,(I believe a bit too soon), because of this, I was worried about my other girl, London, who took almost 2 days to start acting like herself again. Needless to say, Dr. Goh was absolutely caring, responsive and patient with my after hour concerns. I would like to mention that AFC is a nonprofit clinic who is accepting donations and also has a GoFundMe to help sponsor the move to their new location. If you are local to this wonderful organization, they can also use old newspapers and other types of donations.”
“Staff are great, specifical team the checked me in at late afternoon helpful, and pleasant, and well organized. I found it welcoming and lobby area had plently if information abiut sites and places to eat in the area, with everything posted in a engaging fun way, yet profession and lobby and hallways very clean. Did a walk around inspection of the kichen, dinning/common area, bathroom, TV area and everything was exteremly clean and well cared for. I stayed in 5 room (3 others besides myself) and room was clean. Llinens offered were professional laundered and I like new/perfect condition. Many noteable San Fransico sites I found to be within a 1-2 walkable distance. I will definitely stay here when I must travel SF for medical appointments, and recommend to others! Must appreciation to the hard-working staff.”

“What an amazing service this is for the community. We went here just to be with some cats after losing ours and pretty quickly ended up adopting one. They put shy cats in such a better environment and allow them to thrive and be adopted. 10/10 would recommend”

“My son thrives at Berkeley Hills Nursery School and we could not be happier! The teachers and the director have 10 - 20+ years of experience. I trust them 100% as experts in their field to help nurture and develop my son.My son does well at this small school, with an intimate group of friends. Because of the low student to teacher ratio, the teachers are very familiar with my son as a unique individual. The director, Kathleen, is top-notch, easy to work with, and very involved with the kids. Kathleen makes our parent "tasks" easy: applying was free and simple, enrollment steps were clear, and daily communication is concise (made even easier through an app).I like that teachers lead activities for the whole group of kids. The play-based activities get my son moving and learning. For example, today the kiddos moved through an obstacle course that helped them with balance, and fine and gross motor skills. They also do art, yoga, and walks in the neighborhood.Lastly, we have a strong parent community, with adult and family social events. We are so happy to have found this gem in the hills!”

3540 Sanborn Dr, Oakland“We came to see a friend perform in Beautiful. What a wonderful show. We happened to be here on a warm evening, which was wonderful. I've been here on other nights when it gets cold when the sun goes down.In short, performances are always great, but dress for the weather to fully enjoy the experience.”
“Got tested 2nd day of the new year. Community was very kind and supportive. Even the lady who took my tests was a nice conversationalist and made the process easier for me despite the tests being super new to me. 10/10 I’m going back again ??”

1065 Sutter St, San Francisco“10 year ago I stayed at Rachael House when I was at the end of my pregnancy and until my son was 6 months old. I will never forget the home and support I found there. My life is wildly different than it was then but Raphael House was the foundation gifted to me to start from SCRATCH. Advice: Put your head down, focus and take every single step and find every possible resource available and make choices in the right direction. You will succeed.”
“Easy drive up and drop off. They do not accept oxygen tubing and said they have an overstock of emesis bags, so didn't want those either. I'm happy they exist.”
“Great place to find art supplies at an affordable price. Parking can be a bit difficult to find on the weekends, and sometimes items are a hit or miss. I would definitely recommend checking it out during the weekday for the best items”

3400 Broadway, Oakland“Storyline church came into my life at the perfect time when I was going through a lot of inner healing and growth in my relationship with God. There is a lot of warmth when you step into the walls of Storyline, one that I certainly wasn't used to from a previous church I went to for years. I prayed about finding a church like this and it almost seemed too good to be true to find it, but God was listening to my prayers and he delivered like He always does. The community is amazing and the church is continuously growing. Pastor Akeem loves to connect with each person who walks through the doors (which is hard to come by with other churches), and the leadership team goes above and beyond in how they connect with all the congregants. It's exciting to see where Storyline is headed this year and I'm so thankful to be here!”
“Been coming to Pat and Yvonne for YEARS with my taxes. Their friendly demeanor and professional work ethic is spot on. I'll keep coming here for tax help as long as I live in Ca”

921 Washington St, Oakland“I randomly found this museum while visiting my friend who lives in Oakland and I was excited to check it out. They have lots of (if not all...) consoles, games, and gaming related info and stuff. You pay $20 for unlimited play all day (I believe re-entry is available too). Definitely had a lot of fun here and I played a lot of games and they have multiplayer games as well so if you bring your friends you can play with them. I played Wii Sports, Mario games, Ghost in the Shell, Sims, Rock Band, arcade games, etc. I'll definitely come back.”
“Can't believe I've lived in Berkeley 10 years before discovering this gem. Don't be a dum dum like me. Especially now that they have a fill center, and all sorts of fun stuff, friendly staff, and good green living.”

117 6th St, San Francisco“I think they do a service to the community and beyond. Many of the up turned faces judge saying it's wrong and what they do here is a grind. A thankless job dealing with the task of helping out some very difficult and demanding people that many have abandoned and don't care about. A lot of volunteer hours go into their work and very few people simply say thank you for your service. Instead it's entitlement and give me this and give me that and ride remarks if they can't accommodate. So, PLEASE if you read this or you stop by take a second and say thank you and appreciate the service they do provide. This place does great work!!”
“I like this place. Lowers really takes care of people who need them help! I am special appriciate to Lower Christian Yost for help me a lot! Thanks to everybody.”
9AM - 5PM
181 6th St, San Francisco“Of the social services I've encountered in the city, the people here are much better, actually trying, actually actively help people get employment (a friend at a shelter was helped to get a job despite criminal record, smoking weed, etc.), and likely actually help people get housing. Also, kind of a secret, but another org gives out lunch and dinner across the street, and they provide coffee n snacks throughout the day, making it a good place to recharge.”
“We took our broken microwave, flat screen and computer here! People are very helpful and friendly. It’s a bit hidden but really organized and an easy drop off point to e-waste! So grateful to have this place in the East Bay!”
“They are very helpful here but the employees were outside cussing at some obviously mentally unhealthy people standing in line. Also I've called them 17 times in the past week and not once has anyone answered the phone...”
“Our tour guide was a very sweet older woman who knew her stuff. She was able to point out small details, and because we were such a small group, she entertained our questions.”

“These are the correct pictures of the entrance for 850 Harrison St. The only detail is that the Google Street View shows the back entrance that is in the parallel street named Clara St. So, make sure you are walking on Harrison St.”
“This is a members only charitable organisation. The members here are warm and friendly. All are volunteers including the bartenders. Good fraternal order to be part of.”
