Blood suckers. Worst customer service and services in general. They are always trying to find ways to hold your money

Poor customer service. You can never reach them on the phone. When you make a phone appointment, they may or may not make it. They hire people with poor English skills. If you deal with their 800 number, be prepared for a long, bureaucratic process - I'm on hold with my 4th rep as I write this, 40 minutes so far.

Once more I have come to this bank, to close out a couple of Alan's credit cards and to let them know of his death, since they hold our house mortgage. Bria helped me this time and she was careful, thorough and helpful. It took some time, for which she apologized, but I appreciated both the care she took and her kindness. During my wait I got into an interesting conversation w/ two other patrons, one of whom is planning an upcoming trip to Portugal and wanted lira. The other offered him useful information about the currency exchange at Mechanics Bank in downtown Berkeley, which I had forgotten about. The warmth of the staff at this bank, whether toward me or other customers, is quite engaging and impressive.

Very rude tellers. Manager not very helpful no consideration/compassion/ to handicap customers. I have never encountered such poor treatment to an old lady 87 years old who's been customer of Chase for over 6 decades. Ver unfortunate. We drove 7 hrs to close safe deposit and they gave her/ us a very hard time. Customer blind in one eye could hardly walk and wobbly a very very sad experience a

Their main phone is not answering calls, staff are simpleminded at best and do not care about customer care. They do not keep appointments. I would strongly recommend going to a different branch if you are a Chase customer.

Wow. Not a Chase customer. Was but they are awful. Had a check my mom gave me. Last time I deposited a check from Chase at my bank it took 7 days for it to post. Wasn't from mom. B of A said it was because of Chase. Go in today to just cash the thing. Give my DL and a Credit card. Manager says they won't accept the check because it doesn't have my middle name on it. I point out that 99% of the checks I get don't (including my payroll checks). Never had anyone ask my employer to rewrite a check. Even the monthly stipend I get that's drawn on.....CHASE. I say never mind. The manager then voids the check so I can't even deposit it in my bank. Can you say "we don't accommodate black people"? I warned mom against this bank and especially this branch. She hasn't moved the rest of her trust here, and I'm going to do my best to talk her out of it.

Really slow and they only have two tellers on a Friday afternoon (despite that they have 20 cubicles and offices and 8 windows). This is un fathomable. They also don't have a business transaction service agent to help with business transactions outside of the minimal staff at the windows. I can't believe banks are making service so unpersonal . They have one staff man roaming the lobby helping people walk to the ATM redirecting customers. They should have him at a teller spot

I go to this branch to deposit for my company which I can usually do from the very slow ATMs outside, but today a bill was rejected and given back to me. I went inside to try to deposit, but when the teller could not figure out why it was rejected, she called who I assume was the floor manager for help. The woman who was now helping looked at me and said to her associate that it is probably a counterfeit bill without testing it first (I feel you shouldn't throw such an accusation out in the air like that until you know for sure). The woman proceeded to look at it and say that the bill was contaminated with blood (don't know how she came up with that conclusion) but said that they wouldn't take the bill. No other words were given, the original teller that initially helped me said sorry. Rather than escalate the situation I left. I defiantly be calling in a complaint also.

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with any customer service period. My account was locked due to opening a savings account online so I went in to get help. I received snarky remarks (with literal laughing to my face) about how I shouldn't have done it online. If we shouldn't open accounts online why is it possible? This nasty old woman tells me she'd have to call the same number as I would (and had already tried before) to get help and she doesn't want to wait (quote: "we don't have some special number for branches"). I get in queue on the phone for a call back and leave. 2.5 hours later I get a call back from customer service telling me I have to verify my address in a branch and they'd have to call them. I told them I was specifically told they refused to call that number. The man says they have their own number to get straight through, so the woman in the branch lied to my face. I'm told what documents I need to do so and have to wait like a week when I have the time to go in (because I work??) Yesterday I go back, have letters from chase re: my savings account closing and a bill to verify my address. I explain the whole situation and say I'm there to verify my address. The teller tells me the letters and my ID are enough. But lo and behold she is discussing it with that same crusty woman who clearly hates her job from before which makes me nervous. They tell me to sit down and after some time the old woman comes and tells me everything is resolved and my savings account would be closed and the money would be transferred to my checking account. Fine. Then makes another remark laughing saying to open it in a branch next time. Fine. I leave. A couple hours later I still have a locked account. I try not to panic because maybe it takes a while to verify. Nope. This morning, still no access. I call about 3 numbers, get transferred to irrelevant departments and am crying at this point until I get through to someone who tells me they in face never verified my address and also never closed my savings account. The woman at the branch lied to my face to get rid of me, resolving nothing. I have never been so livid. I am not the type of person to go off on customer service workers (I've worked retail myself) but this was absolutely absurd. I don't thank her (why would I?) and just say goodbye and hang up. So if you're following, this will be the third time I have to go into a branch for the same issue that has yet to be resolved. I absolutely outright REFUSE to go to this location ever again. You want quality service, go to Shattuck. I had a lovely time there. Im hoping they can actually help me, but after this experience I don't think I'll be keeping my chase account and find a new bank. Because wow. This has been going on for WEEKS. Hope that old bitch finds happiness some day and stops taking her unfulfilled life out on customers.

Stopped by this branch for the first time to pay a credit card bill and do a quick deposit. This location has a pretty big parking lot, so there is definitely no issue with finding parking. The inside is rather small however, with only about 3 or 4 teller windows, and only 1 teller actually working. Thankfully it wasn't busy when I arrived, or the line would have definitely snaked out the door. They have security at the front door, and both my interactions with security who greeted me and showed me where I could line up, as well as with the teller were friendly and courteous. I have always enjoyed the elevated level of customer service at Chase banks, and this location is no exception.

I left Chase a long time ago. I went there today to cash a check for $1,000. I have two first names. The check was on my second first name and my last name. ID..ok, full name is there. Another identification. BofA debit/credit..ok, full names are there. Untill I saw Norma-cashier- typing the numbers on my BofA debit card. What are you doing? Oh, we just need to verify... She called a manager, We can't cash it because it is is on your second first name. Now, if you open an account with us, we would gladly cash it for you. REALLY??? Is this the way to invite people to open accounts with you??? I left them years ago for similar reasons. You are a criminal until you can prove the opposite at Chase. Stay away. BofA has always treated me with respect and have been very good to me.(Platinum member).

I dunno about all these others talking about bad customer service. Im in customer service and I get a good rating on yelp.My hubby and I just opened our accounts here. They were fast on a Saturday. Julius has best customer service I've had for a long time. He explained everything in detail, he was very professional, very calm demeanor, and sweet. He asked if we needs anything to drink and brought us over water. Even as we came in to wait they asked us if we wanted anything. And showed us the coffee and water. I got distracted and left my paperwork and they called me to let me know I did. Well we are gonna be happy with our new bank. I may actually go in sometimes instead of doing it all online.
