ATTENTION!!!! Do not waste your hard-earned money this place sold me a suburban that broke down 2 days later paid $24,000 and this joker Ed wanted me to take the truck back with a tow truck 50 miles away at my own expense and pay for repairs as he said it was not their responsibility I took the truck to a professional mechanic and it needs a new motor HORRIBLE that cost me another $10,000 don't waste your money go elsewhere they sell lemon cars and Ed knew this car was bad.

My husband's insurance office used to be nearby Autometrics many years ago, so he got to know and trust Edward, the owner. Our family purchased and sold several cars here, and we recommend them to our clients all the time and always hear good things. My daughter got into a car accident with her almost 20 year old car and it wasn't worth it to pay for the repair. She came down to look at some cars we identified on their website, which is super easy to use and understand. The lot is filled with clean title, immaculate cars. We got to meet Edward and his associate Steve in person. So friendly and not pushy at all, but they helped us make a decision by getting to know my daughter and what was important to her. Once we picked a car and agreed on price, Edward spent quite a bit of time explaining each page of the contract, to make sure we understood. As my daughter signed her first contract, wow, adulting, it was a proud moment, and a fun one too, as it was NOT the typical, tense, too long sit down at a dealership. It was a pleasure to sit across the table from Edward, who spent all the time with us that we needed, and not a minute more.I hear some complaining about purchasing used cars and then they have problems. First, some perspective: used cars are sold AS IS, so if you're not sure about a vehicle, get it inspected by your own mechanic, you buy at your own risk. Second, older cars can have issues. That's not the fault of the dealer. If you want no problems, buy new and get a warranty. That said, Ed does a great job making sure the cars are clean. There were a couple of minor issues with the car, so we came back a week later and he took care of them himself, no charge. There's also a 90 day limited warranty, where he will split the repair costs if you use his recommended shop, Super Auto down the street. We already go there, they are geniuses with diagnostics and have lower labor rates than most.I already trusted Autometrics because of my husband's many transactions and referrals, and now, after my first hand experience, I highly can highly recommend them. I wouldn't trust just anyone with my own child, that's for sure!

Car was clean and as advertised. Found that a speaker was blown after purchase but that is on me for not checking and alerting the staff at Autometrics. Ed was very easy to work with and was very honest on every level. If you need a good used car See Ed and know you will be taken care of...

I bought a used 2009 Toyota Prius car from Edward Rekhtman (
[email protected]) in 2018 and I was very happy with how he handled the situation. I would recommend this place for used cars, but as always the buyer should do his/her due diligence. Ed gave me a fair deal after we had a small negotiation. At the time Ed was very clear with me that the car had one big issue - the struts would need to be replaced relatively soon. As part of our deal he told me that he would maintain the current price (which I had tried to bargain him down from) but that he would offer a fix to the struts at cost. Ed let me take the car for a spin and allowed me to take it to a mechanic who said that it was in great condition and that the price I was looking to pay was fair. I ended up moving and never taking ed up on the offer to fix the struts at cost, but after I had another couple mechanics look at it, I didn't even need to end up doing that for another 4 years. I have put maybe another 80,000 miles onto this car since purchasing it in 2018 and have been very happy with it.

Buyer beware! Autometrics misrepresents the condition of their vehicles, and charges top dollar for fixer uppers. Have a trusted mechanic check out the vehicle. In addition to checking the engine and transmission, make sure the brakes, tires, suspension, power steering, starter, exhaust system, and battery/charging system are in good condition; and that all accessories and options work (CD player, A/C, lights--including dashboard warning lights). Better yet, save yourself some time and money and don't buy a car from Autometrics.

VERY SHADY DO NOT GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. These theifs sold me a car that ended up needing $5000 of repairs. Both cataylic converters oil leak and power steering leak. I spent more than the car was worth due to the increased car prices from pandemic then was sold a car with major problems. They do not care if they take your last dollar and leave you with a car you can't afford to fix. VERY bad people please don't support businesses that treat people in this way and don't get ripped off yourself

Honestly I was worried when I saw the low reviews for this place and I found a truck in their lot on Carfax that was literally everything I needed. I drove out from Berkeley to check it out for myself and im glad I did.Eddie is very professional/experienced and is one of the owners of Autometrics. He really put a lot of work and effort to helping me finance my first car. Very clear communication on what I was getting into from the start and was very honest. He worked the best possible deal for me and even came in on his day off to help me drive off the lot. The vehicle was in really good shape it just needed a little detailing nothing too bad. These guys are very responsive and want to work with you if you live local or miles out I would give them a chance and a look around. It’s not going to be a fancy lot like a dealership but it’s a small business with hard working people. Thanks Eddie and Steve I appreciate all the help!

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE PLEASE !!!! Save yourself the misery. My mom got a car here and 3 days later the check engine light came on, turns out it need two new catalytic converters that will cost 5,000$ . The guy totally new it too he just cleared the check engine light and sold it. And now he's saying he won't give us our money back or help fix it . Biggest scam artist ever and just a horrible person. Took every penny my mom had. Pure scum

Very unprofessional and unprepared. I drove 3 hours there and it was a pure waste of my time. Went in hopes of purchasing a vehicle to only be disappointed and dissatisfied. For starters, I got there and they told me "I'm going to go get a oil change ". WHAT???? Then the detailing inside of the vehicle was poor. There was large amounts of dog hair inside the cracks of the seats. Then I got curious and looked under the hood and noticed the engine and power steering was leaking. THAT WAS ENOUGH FOR ME. However STEVE was kind and very respectful. He should go work somewhere else. Other than that I would take my money and go elsewhere.
