So, after a couple of months, I found a home in Georgia that I was interested in. After making an offer that the seller accepted, Lucy told me that she would not be able to get me financed at that time. We were crushed.
My real estate agent in CA suggested that I try his lender (Ronnie Platero) because she has a lot of experience with veterans. We had already talked to two other lenders with the same results and had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would be unable to move at that point and would have to try again in a year or two. But, since he had put in his time and effort to get our current home sold, we thought it only fair to give Ronnie a chance. We walked into her office skeptical of any positive news. But Ronnie didn't bat an eye at our situation. The best thing that I can say about Ronnie is that she never once told us that she could do something that she wasn't able to deliver on. Additionally, she understood my military mindset and kept me informed in a very matter-of-fact manner without blowing smoke up my backside.
