We recently completed a project with Woolsey Construction, and let me tell you, choosing the right contractor for such a significant endeavor wasn't easy. We wanted to add two bedrooms and two bathrooms to our existing house and build a new pool house with bathroom in a challenging location within our backyard. It took us a good six months of diligent conversations with various contractors and mentally preparing ourselves for what lay ahead. We carefully scrutinized bids and project plans, but comparing them was like comparing apples to horses – no two bids were quite the same thing!Each contractor had their own approach and level of detail in their plans, making it challenging to make a fair assessment. We had to break down those bids and timelines meticulously to get a clear understanding. However, Woolsey Construction truly stood out from the rest.What set them apart? Well, for starters, they were incredibly responsive and patient when explaining their bid. We quickly established a solid understanding and maintained consistent communication throughout the project. Additionally, being a family-run business with a substantial team was a significant factor for us. They struck the right balance – not too big to overlook our project's importance, yet not too small to handle unforeseen challenges effectively.Speaking of challenges, they handled them with exceptional professionalism. Every unexpected issue that arose during our project was addressed promptly and transparently. Their ability to communicate effectively and find viable solutions reassured us every step of the way. My wife and I had Woolsey Construction add a second floor to our home and we are absolutely thrilled with the end result! They added two large bedrooms and a full bath and from start to finish, our project manager, Seth Woolsey, kept us up to date on the progress of our build. The construction crew from the framers to the painters were top notch and the quality of their work is unsurpassed in home remodeling and construction. In our opinion, Woolsey Construction is the absolute best in San Diego. They turned our vision into reality and did so on time and within our budget.Services: Home addition construction

We worked with Woolsey Construction to build a granny flat using the new County pre-approved ADU plans. From start to finish, Luke and his team helped us feel comfortable with a big project. Clear communication, excellent workmanship, and the years of experience are what sets Woolsey Construction apart.If you've tried building in California, you know how hard it is to find good contractors. We have a few additional renovations to do in the future and we're definitely going to work with them again.

We started an interior remodel of our home last week with Woolsey Construction and so far they have exceeded our expectations. Seth is our Project Manager and Zabdi has been doing the majority of the demo. Woolsey has been very attentive to our needs and the work ethic of Zabdi continuously impresses me!
