They towed my car from a street without any signs of no parking or permitted parking. Charged me for one whole hour of driver while the distance from where my car was parked at to their garage was less than 15 minutes of drive. They charged me for a full day of storage at their garage, although I got my car released after 4 hours since it got towed. And they charged $100 extra, with excuse of the car release being after hours! Another excuse to steal more money of course. And finally, they double charged my credit card!!!
I see another comment mentioning california law mandating towing companies to provide a copy of the authorization form they got from the complex management upon releasing one’s car. So apparently they violated the law since they didn’t provide copy of authorization to me at all!!!!

I left my car well parked on front of AutoZone with the managers permission also left a note with my phone number on top of that there was another three cars parked in the same parking lot before and after mine got towed then I sent the 4rd party authorization forms and they can't find them and this regarding a 1990 Toyota that's not worth much except to the 80 year old lady which it belongs to but since she was in the hospital was unable to walk over there it's been a week and I'm still trying to get a reason in writing why the car was towed but everybody is oh so carefully that none but a manager to tell you why it got towed ?;;so all that nice and dandy is just a cover up for these hienas

They really need to shut all these places down. These people are overly eager to be rude on the phone and yell out these scamming prices. At least the guy where I went to pick up my car was far more kind than the ones on the phone, and he’s the one who has to deal with the messiness physically? You folks on the phone need some better phone etiquette or at least get some advice from the ones that actually have decent customer service like Darell (the guy who gave my car back). Just a bunch of miserable people.

Stopped by my house for an emergency bathroom break. Parked my car in a fire lane to use the restroom 10 mins later car is gone. Everyone in the complex does this and most people for hours.
Whatever. I know I parked where I parked. The associate at the office wasn’t friendly she seemed like she hates her job. Understandable.
THE ISSUE I had my hazard lights on and $64 in cash to fill my car up in a gum container in my car. Three twenty’s for gas and 4 singles to fill my water jugs. The money is gone and when we got to the tow place my hazards were off. Called risk management and they said no one entered my car so they can do nothing. Who turned off my hazard lights? And how did they do it from the outside of my car?
So now I am out $325 plus $64. All because I needed to use the bathroom because I am having medical issues.

Just another predatory towing company (Pacific Hwy). A full review would just be restating everything that's been said in past reviews already. Also, has a deal with the Vons in North Park, be wary parking there if it's late and legal.

For any of you locals who've been towed by the infamous towing company, Western Towing, - you might be interested in hearing how was able to scare them into paying me back the $400 I had to pay to get my car out of tow. Western Towing does not follow correct, legal procedure for towing. and apparently they've been cutting procedural corners for many years. There's supposed to be a written authorization from from the owner of the parking lot (in my case, a company called Reliant Parking) given TO Western Towing BEFORE the car is towed. Before you pick up the car, Western Towing MUST provide you with a photocopy of that written authorization form. Western Towing doesn't follow this procedure, and they never have. They insist the authorization is actually a blacked-out form field on a webpage that they print out for you. It's a joke, and the joke is that they never do get written authorization from the owner of the lot. The laws against this are clear. Below is the text from an email I wrote to Reliant Parking, which pressured them to get Western Towing to refund the $400

I wish I could leave no star. Western Towing confirmed 3 times to tow 2 vehicles and even the day before stated they could and then all of sudden the day of said they cannot provide the tow. Obviously not a reputable company, that makes promises and doesn't deliver and doesn't stand by their word. Don't use them and find other means of towing.

If I could give negative stars I would!! Completely unprofessional! Rude customer service, lack of communication, AND DAMAGED my pickup truck. They are denying the claim to repair it. They say before and after pictures are identically but I have a $320 estimate that says otherwise...tocourt we go!

Awful company... Lady in the office very rude. Poor service and very high prices. They are the bottom of the barrel, prying on people and taking advantage of unfortunate situations that require a tow. Unmethodical illegal tow without any recourse. Pay or don't get your car back.
