“I’m convinced this is the nation’s best post office. Everyone that works here is an absolute delight. I’ve had cases opened on packages that I’ve gone missing and each person has followed them and followed up with the upmost care. Even the customers catch on to the Bermuda triangle of kindness that this place exudes and are often seen holding open doors, letting people go ahead of them and talking in line. going here makes my day most of the time and luckily I’m here a lot. ”

9805 Campo Rd Ste 165, Spring Valley“I only come here a few times a year mostly near the holidays. I don't have a mailbox or anything here so this review is strictly for the main customer service line of the post office. The male employee who was helping me was welcoming, I just walked in and he apologized for wait and began to help me. There was no wait I just walked in but ok I'm all smiles. I asked for holiday stamps and he grabbed the box to show me all the options they have. I didn't see the option I saw online and he informed me that type was the winter regular stamps. I got a few of the booklets of stamps for $11 each. The best part is if you go in you don't have to wait 5-8 business days to get them shipped with possible 2-3 delayed days. Also my neighborhood postal annex booklets cost $3 more so it's a no brainer to come here for snail mail stamps. The only issue is this parking lot and shopping center area is a little sketchy so you really have to watch your surroundings. Other than that it's a friendly post office from what I've witnessed the past few years.”

“Friendly staff. Walked in there about 5 'til closing. I was a little bit off my game because I was in a hurry, knowing that it was closing time and not wanting to burden anyone by causing them to stay late. Jiovanna had that calming personality and made me feel welcome and not rushed, which in turn helped me to operate more efficiently. Definitely recommend!”
“I got here late 15 minutes but they took me in a fill up application for my passport lady. She was wonderful customer service. It was excellent. It didn’t take me not even 30 minutes. It’s a small post office but it’s great to have somebody understand your situation. they deserve five star.”
“The PO building is old, dark, small and falling apart. It really needs to be torn down and rebuilt. HOWEVER, the counter staff are invariably kind and helpful. Don't believe any negative reviews about the staff at this PO-- they are the best. They get all sorts there, and they have to deal with odd, rude, not-so-bright and demanding people, but I have never seen them be anything other than kind and professional. It can get busy there at times, but it is almost always much quicker than other nearby POs, and the staff are so nice that it's not really a bother.”

“I ALMOST got scammed long story short dropped a order off at this location around 2:30ish pm and paid for overnight for a customer. Did some extra digging because something in my gut said double check their info and I did turns out they like to scam small businesses sadly. I was in El Cajon when I realized this information at 3pmish so my husband drove us back to the location. Same lady who helped me the first time recognized me and I explained to her what happened she retrieved my package and reimbursed us our money back. Personally best experience I've ever had at a Usps location.”

“I know that people who go to the Postal Office are either in a hurry, anxious that their mails/packages are taken cared of or would even be having a bad day. So Cashiers and Staff working to serve all the customers are often overlooked or taken for granted. A small shortcoming on their part might be blown out of proportion by others, thinking they are snob or unhelpful. I can relate, because this USPS Staff ms. Joanne, might look reserved or strict, but once you get to know her, or take time to smile at her and talk to her, she will be very nice and cheerful. She has helped me from the first time I stepped in this location. Walked me through on how to open a PO Box and assisted me in mails that I'm looking for. She wrote everything patiently. I thank her for knowing her products and services. So just to put a balance perspective, most customer service workers might also have a challenging day and I feel we as consumers must also be considerate, who knows friendships can also be built which will last.”

4740 Mission Gorge Pl, San Diego“I had the best experience at Grantville post office in San Diego, CA. My package had the 5 digits wrong on the order and it was coming from Canada.So an international package. I called Canada postal service to see if a correction could be made. I also got a hold of the company to let them know the 5 digits were incorrect. They tried to intervene but of no avail. 1800 USPS gave me some great info on how to go about to retrieve this package. Once I knew the package said “out for delivery”, that was my cue to go down to the Grantville post office and the manager then looked all over the facility and made workers aware of this package having the wrong 5 digits. Low and behold the pack was there and in the pacel bag of my carrier, since he was familiar with my name and correct address.I am very grateful to all who went out of their way to get this package to me.”

“I went few times because I lost the key from my mailbox. every time I went I noticed that the employees treated people with respect. I saw people already go with attitude or do not arrive with everything that is needed to send their packages and they want them to solve it there. I had a good experience and they helped me throughout the process, I expected it to take 1 to 2 weeks and they did it in 3 days. Thank you”

Note; these are expensive items too, always in the $500+ range for a couple cards.Sad to see the care the post office gives be scrutinized by the rare few with strong negative opinions.”
“I use this post office for drop and go types of things. This is not a full service post office, at least when it comes to customer/mailing services. If you want a variety of stamps, or mailing supplies, or space to finalize your outgoing mail, go to the post office off of Bisby Lake, a mile up the road. This is an annex; mostly handling mail, not people. I ship a lot of Poshmark and eBay packages and they always reach their destination on time. Also, this post office was incredibly responsive to a report about graffiti on one of their boxes. My call was answered immediately. My one issue is that it seems like there is a lot of turnover when it comes to carriers and I'm sorry for those of you who have had packages go missing. 15 seems like a lot; make sure the sender is insuring their outgoing mail. That way you have a record. Or require that something be sent with with a tracking number. I would recommend this location for basic services only and you shouldn't encounter all of these issues. Also, even when Amazon or Macy's for example uses USPS, the packages are always delivered to my door.”
