Joe and his team at Performance Choppers are the best in the city. Great customer service and they know what they’re doing. I took my 2023 Road Glide Special in for a Stage 1 tune, Joe told me what needed to be done and I trusted him! If you read their reviews, you wouldn’t have any doubts either. I’m more than happy with the results and I will absolutely be coming back for more work. Performance Choppers has my highest recommendation!

Unlike the Harley Davidson service and parts departments that I’ve thrown money at within San Diego and National City, with less than expected value and workmanship, the crew at Performance Choppers has your best interest at heart and they execute this in the best way possible, on top of their reasonable pricing. I am looking forward to driving past three different HD shops to bring it to people that understand what it means to serve and treat others with respect. If you’re tired of being sold to and being charged top-end pricing only to receive low attention to detail/partially completed work, swing by Performance Choppers in El Cajon, CA to get quality results.

I brought in my 2014 Ultra Classic due to my air ride not working. Joe and the team diagnosed the issue and replaced it in a timely manner and installed new tires before my cross country trip. Highly recommend and looking forward to future business with them.

Joe at Performance Choppers is one of the good guys. Let's face it, anyone who has had their Hog worked on, knows, that most motorcycle shops are filled with Prima Donna's with attitude. Even the Harley dealerships are full of them. Joe is the exact opposite. He is sincere, really cars about his customers. Their work quality is great. He did a bunch of work on my brothers 1996 Fat Boy. From suspension to upgrades. My very picky brother was very happy. He recently worked on my 2012 Road King and I am back on the road happy. I recommend Performance Choppers 100% and give them a 5 star A + rating.

When my Harley-Davidson Vrod began to suffer from frustrating electrical issues, I first took it to Coronado Beach Harley-Davidson, where despite spending hours and charging me over $500, they failed to diagnose the problem. In stark contrast, Joe and his team at Performance Choppers welcomed my Vrod with open arms and pinpointed the issue within a mere 30 minutes.
They found a complex wiring fault under the seat and fixed it for just $420, including a necessary gasket. This not only resolved my bike's issue but also came in $100 cheaper than Coronado Beach Harley-Davidson's ineffective attempt. Moreover, when I lost my tail light cover on the ride home, Joe immediately took responsibility and ordered a replacement without any cost to me—a testament to their unparalleled customer care.

I have a 2000 Harley Davidson night train. I love that bike . It was giving me a trouble shutting off in the middle of nowhere. I did what I could change in a bunch of parts did not fix anything. I finally bought it to Joe and Luke he had that bike running like a champ in no time. like now. excellent work very fair prices. I cannot recommend it enough. if you’re looking for a fair price and good workmanship, look no further than this shop.

Been bringing my bike here for upgrades and other fixes. They recently fixed my ohlins drop ins and came out perfect! Joe and Luke are great, they perform reliable work and take the time to explain the work they’ve done. Over all solid work and excellent communication. Will be bringing it in for a full dyno tune!
