Working with Bryan the GM for a suitable medium size shade tree for my back yard area, low maintenance and easy to care for. Visited their site, found a ficus tree that met requirements. My contractor crew will pick up tmrw with a truck to bring the tree here to get it planted. Very knowledgeable about all types of trees, succulent type, fruit trees etc.

Highly recommend this amazing Nursery! Bryan was so helpful assisting me with selecting a beautiful Crepe Myrtle tree and giving a tour of this beautiful nursery. Jerrod and crew were very professional and did a wonderful job planting the tree. They are all total pros! Thank you Moon Valley Nursery!

We showed up to moon valley early on a cold and wet morning. A tree caught my attention and we didn’t make it up to the office. Instead of leaving us to wander in the rain, Peter came out to greet us and enthusiastically joined our looking at trees we can’t yet afford. Then, Peter turned the nursery into Disneyland for my husband and I, golf carting us to any tree we could think of and sharing in our adventures with delicious fruit. Warning: you will leave with a ton of fruit. We filled a full kitchen garbage bag with oranges, limes, grapefruit, lemons and tangerines; Peter was generous enough to help me retrieve the best fruit from the tops of the trees, I’m vertically challenged. Every single employee we met was helpful and happy despite the icky weather. Originally I wanted one small, ecologically appropriate tree. I left with a LARGE palo verde (ecologically appropriate☑️), a 24” avocado zutano, and a healthy bearass lime. We had purchased a lime from a different nursery the day before but at Moon Valley we were able to taste several varieties in the orchard and I couldn’t leave without out the bearass. The trees are so well taken care of. The purchase of our trees was smooth, and only interrupted when they offered my husband and I fresh pizza from the employee lunch, not the typical “sales” behavior of it becoming serious and pressured at the end. I got to meet the man in charge of planting the trees at my house too, so I wouldn’t be talking a stranger on planting day. Peter was very sneaky and called the owner while we were distracted and convinced him in to giving us a hearty discount…without us even asking. Peter is focused on a happy ending. I’m not buying a tree from anyone else.Let me tell you about the day my precious trees were planted. I got a nice heads up call and they showed up right on time. They were so pleasant and friendly and efficient. I barely had time to make coffee before they wrapped up!

It was an incredible pleasure working with Scot from Moon Valley Nursery to help beautify the landscaping at our home. Not only is he very personable and friendly, but he is extremely knowledgeable about plants and you can tell how truly passionate he is about helping to make your yard beautiful. Moon Valley's complementary home consultation and design session was an incredible value because most nurseries charge for something like that. Scot created detailed renderings for us showing his ideas for our yard that ended up turning out great once we had everything planted with the Moon Valley team. He personally came on the planting day to ensure that all the plants were placed correctly. We cannot recommend Moon Valley and Scot enough!

Brandon with MVN came to inspect our fruit trees. He did an amazing job pruning, trimming and fertilizing our trees. He spent quality time with me discussing an issue with one in particular. He's an asset to MVN and an asset to us consumers. Great job Brandon!

I wrote a review on 11/28/23 about my recent experience with the Blossom Valley location. There was a response to my review from someone at Moon Valley saying they'd be in touch with me soon. So far, I've not heard from anyone and now the Moon Valley response has been deleted. Unless I actually receive a satisfactory solution to my complaint (gross overcharge for poor workmanship), I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office next. Thank you!

I couldn’t have had a better outcome without Samantha Dall! From the moment she greeted us to the moment our project was complete, everything was on point! I had a budget I needed to stick to but liked and wanted so much! Samantha understood my style right away and put together beautiful layouts and made it work with our budget. All the illustrations she uses for you to see how the plants would look in your home are soooo helpful! She made delivery and plant day happen for me on short notice! I loved that the company has Sdg&e, water, and all come label where pipes are underground so they won’t be having typical accidents of bursting anything while digging those deep holes. That’s something I was afraid of after hearing others stories. This new landscaping transformed our home and I couldn’t have gone with a better company. Samantha is so detailed that you will be at ease with the whole process, since sometimes little or big projects like landscaping can be overwhelming for some. I recommend Moon Valley Nurseries to anyone with a landscape project, big or small! Samantha Dall will exceed your expectations!

We received outstanding service from Moon Valley Nursery--especially from our sales person, Tony Giacalone. Tony went above and beyond in all aspects of the job.When we first walked onto the lot, my wife and I had no idea how to shop for plants. Neither of us has a green thumb. Tony helped guide us through the selection process, from asking about our grand vision to specifics like color preferences and how much maintenance we could tolerate. He even came to see our backyard (on his day off, no less) to confirm plant choices.Our next step was to return to the nursery to pick out our trees and plants. Tony toured us around the nursery and helped us select the fullest and most well-formed trees. He was very patient during the 3+ hours it took to make our choices. The three of us closed down the place that night as Tony worked past 9pm to plug in our order and find warranties and discounts wherever he could.On the day our plants arrived, Tony was right there with his crew. It was a full-day operation--hats off to Bodhi for overseeing the crane operator!It's now been over a week since our install and my wife and I couldn't be happier with all the new lush greenery in our backyard paradise. I even called Tony to ask a couple watering questions, and he graciously obliged with helpful answers.We'd highly recommend Moon Valley Nursery. Ask for Tony if he's available!

How lucky we were to find Moon Valley Nurseries and, most especially, Christian F, their MVP Technician. Christian is an expert in his field. He did a masterful job helping our new olive tree get established and then shaping, lacing and trimming it to create a harmonious balance between the tree's health and aesthetic appeal. Jerrod and his team at the El Cajon location did a perfect job planting my new Camphor tree. Scot drove us around the lot and helped us choose the right tree for my budget and requirements. Installation went without a hitch: great communication, showed up on time, planted it quick and right, left me with instructions for proper care and feeding. It looks fantastic and I'm happy I chose Moon Valley.

Our nursery pro, Samantha, was great from the get go. She visited the property and heard our initial ideas but also came back with great suggestions that complemented our vision. She took photos and created a beautiful mockup of the space that really helped us visualize the concept. Once we locked on a design, she patiently drove us through the nursery inventory multiple times to pick out the best and healthiest plants, and clearly explained benefits and watch outs for each plant we were interested in. We are a few weeks out from having the crew come into the property and plant, but we are confident it will be a breeze with the help of Samantha on-site helping direct and troubleshoot any details. We are overall very happy with MV plants and service!

I signed up for the MVP program when I purchased my tree. Christian came over today for the 1st visit and did a great job trimming up the fruit tree and taking time to explain to me what he was doing and why.SO good to have a person who actually went to school to learn his trade caring for my tree to make sure it lasts.

Last week we visited the large Moon Valley nursery. We were greeted by Eric upon arriving and we gave Eric an idea of our landscaping needs for our new house. Eric took my husband and I around the nursery in their open air cartand gave us a tour of the nursery. Eric pointed out best choices for our property. He then came to our home and flagged the appropriate areas for the entire design.Thank you Eric for your proffesional knowledge and for the friendly and pleasant experience!Stay tuned for our newly landscaped hillside.
