Update, they still are major losers with lousy diagnosis of my car.
What losers, they are trying to sell me an item that everyone else sells for $10 for $30. When I asked reason they had no good answer. Here is another gripe, another Lexus dealer has the same item for over $100 less. El Cajon Lexus, at least you're consistent, at sucking.

My initial perception of Lexus El Cajon back in January was good.
When we took my wife's car in last month, it was "okay", given that we arrived on time for our 0700 service appointment and nobody was at work yet. We had to wait nearly half an hour for their employees to come to work.
Today was my third time at their service department, and now I know for sure that this is the norm here.
Again, I arrived on time for my 0700 service appointment, and again, I had to wait on them to begin work. When I walked into service, there were two employees behind computers - neither acknowledged me, so I went back to the front desk to inquire where my service advisor was. I was told that anyone in service could help me, so I walked back to service. This time, my advisor was there, and got me signed in.
The loaner car they gave me was dirty, not just construction dust dirty, but muddy on the outside, and spat out seeds of some sort in the cup holder dirty (see pic). The floor mats and seats were dirty as well, with debris all over the car.
When I went to pick my car up, my advisor wasn't there, so someone else assisted me. He was fully ready to charge me $200 for the second oil change, but knew nothing about the issue I asked them to look into. When I asked if they resolved the issue, he fired back with "I have no idea as I have never looked at your paperwork before!". If you have no idea, then why are you assisting me?
Which brings me to another point: they do not know how to address customers at Lexus. Rather than address people with "sir", or "ma'am", they say things like "hey, we'll be right with you, okay?"
When the stand-in service advisor told me that my car would be brought to me out front, I walked out front, and the driver walked right past me and into the dealership. Then a few minutes later walked back out, and handed me the key - with tags on it. I gave you my key with nothing attached, why are you adding trash to my key and handing it to me?
On top of that, my seat was jacked to the ceiling, as he was of far shorter stature than me, and the car was raging hot inside (it was 86F outside), so everything burned. These cars have remote start, and heck, you could just blast the AC for a few minutes to cool the car down, why give it back baking hot?
Lexus is a brand that was founded on exceptional customer service - "experience amazing" is still their slogan, but it is far from their reality. In my view, the Lexus experience is just like the one I had with KIA: great cars - terrible customer service. They have consistently made me feel disrespected and unappreciated.
On top of all this, they claim that you get your first two services on the house, yet the IS 500 has a compulsory 1k inspection where they just look at it to make sure nothing is falling off - no oil change. Today I found out that they consider the 1k inspection your first service, so I had to pay $200 for this oil change. Mental note: do your own services from now on, or at least take it to an independent mechanic.
This is my first, and last Lexus product. I love the car, but hate the brand.
Now they're claiming that I used foul language, and caused a scene - none of which happened. It's sad when companies resort to lies in an attempt to save face.

Horrible! Absolutely horrible! I scheduled regular maintenance at Lexus El cajon and requested a loaner car. When I arrived they said I should have brought proof of insurance with me, but did not tell me this over the phone. They ask that I drive all the way home, and drive all the way back to get this proof. This would not be an issue if the scheduler had simply told me to bring my insurance card with me at that time. Because they didn't, they saw no problem in greatly inconveniencing me. When I expressed this dissatisfaction with the woman who answered the phone. She could care less. I mean she really really could care less. I'm going to another location who I certainly hope has it better together than Lexus El cajon. Added: as it turns out, I did have proof of insurance when I checked my glove box. However ny this point in time, the front line customer service people were so incredibly rude that I have absolutely no interest in doing business at this location.

Hani was a pleasure to work with on our recent purchase of a vehicle. I felt no undue pressure, he gave us plenty of time to look over the truck, test drive, and ask questions, and got us deal we were all happy with.
The dealership is currently undergoing some construction (as of late May 2024), but the new show room is premium and the staff were all honestly delightful.
I also appreciated the fact the dealership gave the option to communicate over text. Angelica got an appointment scheduled and got me all the information I needed up front without having to play phone tag.
I couldn't say I've ever left a car dealership completely satisfied until today. Color me impressed.

My parents and I were there today to order one LS500H and two NX350H all 2025 models.
The sales agent did not care to help us at all, she was so focused in pushing her cars in inventory, she told us that we would need to wait 2 to 3 years!!
Buyers beware, they won't try to help you, they will want to sell what they want not what you want.
Please know that we ended up going to Lexus Kerney mesa and we have ordered our three cars!! Marty was our salesperson at kerney mesa and he was very professional and courteous!!

Lexus of El Cajon has excellent service. David Reynoso was my salesman during the time of my purchase. David was professional and very respectful towards my needs. Asher in the service department stood above and beyond to make me feel welcome and very professional towards ensuring they meet my expectations. Outstanding job by all at Lexus of El Cajon.

Watch out for service department they are going under construction services and now trying double charge each service you need. Windshield on my Lexus got cracked. They want charge $2300 dollars to replace it. Lexus is 2017 ES. So in 2021 the Same windshield got replaced and cost $1079 dollars. I am not even sure why the windshield keep cracking on my Lexus twice . Nevertheless Now they want almost twice as much. This is where they get you with insurance and etc. this is unethical and unfair practices. Other places quoted me range 750 to $1100. Just for you to know. I would never go back there. And service manger never returned my call! I also bought the car from this dealership. Neve go back again. This place has no leadership or management structure as to care for best interest of their customers.

Their service department is under construction. And our Lexus windshield had cracked in 2020 we replaced it there cost us $1079. The same windshield got cracked again just last week and took it there NOW they want charge 2300 dollars. Also no guarantee either. It is their product.!!!And now they want double charge . I never seen such increase in anything. Not alone windshield . Sorry to say that it seems service department need collect money for their on going construction and consumer “you and I Paying for it “ with this outrageous pricing. I got estimate for the same windshield some other windshield company for 750 dollars. This is a rip off. I bought the car from them as well. Watch out for their unfair practices.!!

Excellent buying experience. Professional, knowledgeable and no game-playing. Brought 2 cars to my home and after purchase spent an hour explaining and demonstrating all the features. Even set up my garage door opener. My son also bought a car here even though he lives in San Francisco because it was simpler and less hassle.

Went to check a trade in vehicle and upon arrival David helped me through the purchase/ trade in process and we were able to make a quick deal that was easy, transparent and straightforward. I got a great offer on my current vehicle and made a very fair deal for my new vehicle. Will absolutely be back once it's time to purchase a new car again. Overall awesome team and great purchasing experience!
