This place may be closed. Went in person on May 5, 2024 at around noon. Listed phone number goes straight to voicemail. No signage out front of house with multiple busted down cars in yard. Recommend confirming before making the trip out there.

The lady was really nice I can’t remember her name. My boyfriend went in looking for a bonsai plant and found one. It was a pleasure meeting her and all of the sweet doggies she has❤️❤️

This girl killed 6 of my bonsais. I had to lesve for a year for work, and asked if they would babysit. They said yes and I paid upfront. when I came to pick them up after a year, 6 were dead, one just completely missing. 'It was a hot summer' they said, but the trees were in the exact same spot I dropped them off, dry to the bone.On my way out with the remaining living bonsais, she offered me *someone else's tree* as consolidation. Is this what happened to my missing tree? These people are horrible grifters, please don't entrust anything with them, and please do not give them your business. They're also probably on drugs.

I went here looking for soil. She didn't have any, but I still spent over an hour talking to her, even though I didn't buy anything. Definitely recommend coming here for those looking for some nice trees at reasonable prices.

Very impressive collection of bonsai and plants. Cindy, the owner is so knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful. We were so happy we found this little gem. You will not be disappointed. I noticed people left bad reviews mainly bc the place was not open. I simply avoided this by calling to confirm she was open. Too bad they missed out on this incredible place. Cindy is amazing and really cares about her plants, she does not deserve any negative reviews. I'll be returning for more and will hopefully get a class that she teaches.

No selection, no soils, nothing of quality for sale. Don't waste your time. Sweet lady, but its a backyard operation that is a complete mess.

Cindy was absolutely amazing to talk to. She gave so much information on bonsais and was there to answer any questions we had. My daughter especially loved seeing all her chickens walking around. Definitely see myself coming back again. My husband will be going to her class on Sunday. ? Such a beautiful place ?

Cindy is a pleasure to talk to. She shared her wealth of knowledge with me and has the best selection of bonsais you can find in San Diego. Very worth it.

Cindy's extensive experience and broad knowledge makes Kuma nursery a very special place. The wide variety of species and various types of the art are beyond reproach.
