Never enough parking. Never enough staff at this location. Sometimes it takes me over a month to get a Doctor's appointment. Your best bet is to go to urgent care first thing in the morning in La mesa.Remember Bostonia pharmacy is now CLOSED on Saturday's I had been seeing over 100 cars every Saturday morning pull in get out the leave. Typical of kiaser cutting costs and nothing changes.

Update February 2023- I have since moved to a different area and experienced a multitude of other providers. I have also entered the world of private practice mental health within my professional career. I am updating my review from 1 to 3 stars because looking back on the care I received, it was definitely from providers who did the best they could within their scope and realm of influence. Dr. Nieves was a pivotal point in my treatment and care. She addressed my ADHD in a timely, compassionate, and efficient way. I never felt stigmatized for having ADHD and needing the meds that come with that. My therapist Erin did a wonderful job treating me within the system she was operating within. Kaiser is a medical model and they are not adequately designed to serve their members mental health needs. All the strikes with Kaiser are warranted and I hope they continue to improve their current system of care. Providers like Dr. Nieves , dr John, and Erin LMFT deserve a better model of care to operate within. Looking back I really believe that if they were operating under a different network contract they would have been able to fulfill my needs in the way I needed them to back then. They were really helpful and did a lot to guide my care in the right direction, including Erin touching on trauma and PTSD with me, and meeting me where I was at. They made a positive impact in my life and I appreciate the care I received from them. But, I had huge trauma and grief and I just was not getting the care that I needed regarding frequency and intensity of services and interventions. Erin was always booked way out bc that is Kaisers model of care. I have been able to find the level of care I need since moving and obtaining insurance that allows me to get the care that I need. I live in a semi rural area yet I have been able to access all the care I have needed since leaving Kaiser (it took awhile to find and set up care granted). I hope dr nieves and Dr John and Erin are doing well and continuing to make a positive impact within their scope and realm ofinfluence. Still EFF Kaiser, but those individual providers were great.February 2022-IF I COULD GIVE 0 I WOULD1st off Dr Nieves documented 2 OF OUR APPOINTMENTS AS NO SHOWS when we did in fact have appointments, important ones where we discussed my needs. The pharmacy wouldn't fill a prescription of mine because on their end it showed me not seeing her since AUGUST but I had seen her she just documented it as a no show, and I had to have appt scheduled before they would refill my medications. Oh and of course the appt wasn't for 2 months.Don't expect to get an appointment with any mental health clinician without waiting at least 2 monthsTheir administrator had the AUDACITY to tell me to go hire a private practice provider to get my needs met. This whole experience has CONTRIBUTED TO MY PSYCHIATRIC DECOMPENSATION and I PRAY people with more serious mental health needs do NOT GO TO KAISER ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION. If you want to keep your sanity STAY AWAYYY

The pharmacy is very friendly and helpful. The pharmacist even called my doctor for me to get my medication released early since I was traveling out of town and wouldn't be around to pick up and would run out while out of town. A+ for me.

I have picked upMy RX here and visited for Labs. Everyone was polite and helpful. Pretty much what I have seen at all Kaisers. The building was easy to find. The signs were helpful to navigate the parking lot. Parking close to the medical office building hasn’t been an issue. The facility is very clean including the bathrooms. I will be coming back and I’m happy to.

Quiet campus, plenty of parking, clean facilities. The security lady was super nice and took me exactly where I needed to go, despite that totally not being her job. Luis the nurse(?) was the sweetest and gentlest immunizer I've ever had. Everyone here had a beautiful energy, so much appreciated :)

I have come here several times for the pharmacy and labs. Everything is so fast at Here. I love it. I get quoted 15 mins and it's like 5 mins. The staff are always polite, greet you, apologize for any wait. I have had such a great experience switching to Kaiser. I go here because I live in lakeside. It's easy to find, plenty of parking, easy to navigate the parking lot. Pharmacists care about their patients and treat everyone with dignity and respect. Regardless of the medication they pick up. I will be back here for all my RX.

Had a video appointment with Dr. Navakas scheduled for 2.30p. After no one showing up or notifying me for 20 minutes, I called at 2.50p to see what was happening. After a long hold, was told "he's running late" but no estimated time given when he'd be available. I canceled at that point - I had to get back to work and my time had already been wasted. His office has multiple way to contact patients and let them know of extreme delays like this. At 3:16p I get a notification that he's ready. 46 min later than our appointment. Completely disrespectful to expect me to cram in an entire appointment in 10 minutes. Plus, I already canceled! Now my records indicate that I was a "NO SHOW"...seriously?! Such complete disrespect. I took time off from work for this and scheduled my day accordingly. I am switching providers immediately and filing a complaint with Kaiser.

This location is probably my favorite of all the Kaiser's I have been to so far. It's the closest to my house and the staff here are all very sweet. I didnt have a problem finding anything and there's also plenty of parking available to the public. The providers on the other hand is another story. I've been through about 3-4 PCP's here that were all rude and had terrible bedside manner.

Lab and XRay departments are great in my opinion; however, my opinion of three separate primary care medical physicians that I have personally attempted to obtain professional care from at Kaiser Bostonia is sub-par, sadly. The telephone messaging system there is also severely lacking as my detailed messages are never met with a detailed response from the physician's or their staff, not even close; they can't even get my phone number right. I have no experience with the mental health departments at Bostonia.

The oath, "Promise to do no harm." by doctors, is not practiced at Kaiser Permanente. I've been a patient with Kaiser since birth. At one point, Kaiser use to be the private insurance company that everyone wanted. Now it's the most complained about and the most harmful for its patients. First, the Kaiser at most Emergency Rooms, definitely the one off Clairemont 9455, are not trained in mental health. The young new nurses talk about a patient put on a 5051 hold and watch, like animals. Telling each other how "this is stupid." Or "I hate that I have to watch them.." I filed a claim with Kaiser and they never followed up. Will post a photo of a nurse that kept ignoring me or leaving her "watch station" when I would fall asleep. My psychiatrists team such as her nurse, Sandra A Govea, consistently either don't approve my medication on time or lack communication. Resulting in me either not getting my medication on time or not getting it at all. With my medication not given I'm in a constant state of anxiety, depression, confusion, and thoughts of hurting myself. I had to jump through hoops just to get a couple tablets given to me to hold me over during the weekend since there is only the crisis line open during the weekend. With how they practice now it's no wonder Kaiser is failing. I'm sure more people will speak out and I hope so as well. Because if not, more patients will get hurt or worse, fatal.

Waited a month for my daughter to have an in person meeting then they call me to tell me it’s virtual and I miss call and they tell me to reschedule on the 4/4 for another virtual when I’ve told them she wants in person. Don’t waist your time with these people they are very incompetent with your kids situation. I hope no kid ever hurts themselves waiting for Kaiser.

I came to this Kaiser location recently for a blood draw and I was thoroughly impressed. It was my first time at this Kaiser location. The parking lots are spacious. It was fairly easy to find the laboratory. I got to my lab appointment 30 minutes early. Carmen, the very sweet girl at the front checked me in. She took my insurance, confirmed my appointment and told me to have a seat. I was called back within 5 minutes of sitting down, got my blood drawn and I was on my way! The whole process took about 20 minutes. I work in the healthcare field and these are very tough times. I appreciate the hospitality from everyone here and I look forward to coming back to this location.
