I really appreciated the above and beyond customer service I received from Kathy at the check out line. Her warmth and kindness was something I wasn't expecting but so appreciated. My interaction with her had a lingering warm feeling I was able to take with me when I left the store. Thank you Kathy!!!!!!

Terrible delivery service with their appliances. UNPROFESSIONAL! They say they will call the night before, they don't they text you a set time. If you live in an association this is an issue if you need to shut off the water. I called they said we were number 6 on the list and they would be there around noon. A guy calls me at 7am and says I'll be there in 30 minutes. I had to cancel!

Most of the time the selection is good and the prices are reasonable. The employees are helpful. Parking lot is full of Africans and it makes you concerned about your safety and about the safety of your vehicle. The larger items I buy there but most all the other stuff I buy from Amazon. they ship right to your door. The prices are about the same and you don't have to deal with all the people and the trash hanging around in the parking lot.

Had two customer service incident. Lumber associate tall skinny young hispanic man with an attitude. I actually left yesterday and came back today to avoid the associate. He seems to have an attitude towards other employees and customers in my opinion. Lady at the check out couldn't be bothered to look at what she's ringing up and double charged me for a cut piece of lumber. Got mad at me because I told her to take a look at what she had scanned into the system. No wonder so many people prefer the Santee Home Depot over El Cajon.

I have been to this home depot a good amount of times and I never leave a review. Because I don't have much to say but today I do! I went to use the restroom. I put all my stuff on top of the toilet paper dispenser area and a clip I had for my hair. I proceed to get out of the restroom and an Employee who works for this Home Depot That who saw me come out of that stall went in after me. I was washing my hands, I realized that I had left my hair clip inside of that stall. It's my favorite hair clip. So she comes out gets all her stuff. She was a heavy set short person, black hair. I knew she worked there because she had an orange vest in her hand, maybe off her shift already or starting her shift. She leaves so I go back to look and its gone. She took it. The fact that you have an employee whether or not it's something small or big. Knowing that person saw me and you took something that didn't belong to you. You have some sketchy people working here that's not right. The fact that she saw me come out of that stall and didn't even ask if I left that in there and she didn't give it back to me is wrong in all the ways possible. Makes me question if she would do that at work stealing is stealing even if nobody knows.

Slow service when in need to get rung up by a human. You're better off self-checking out. Cashier was scrambling for a phone to call in a sku number on some pluming elbows. They cancelled my order and had me wait and rung up other customers . What a mess. Do not come here.

Meet a super helpful associate named Kody. He assisted us with getting the right piece of wood we were looking for and cut it too! Even gave us a discount on the wood since it was damaged and there was only 2 pieces left and both were damaged. In the end he told us I hope your family has a great day! What a stellar young man!!! I love it. I'm a business owner of a cleaning company and there were like few times when my equipment got broken, so you need to find the way out, cause you can not let your customers down. They don't care what kind of problem you've got, they just need the job to get done and that is it. So I used the Home depot's renting equipment and it runs great. Affordable, reasonable price. The provided equipment is clean and ready to use. 15 minutes in the store and you've got your equipment. Just let you know that they've also got some construction tools, and much more.

I purchased a screen door in January 2021. The project didn't get completed until late August 2021 due to repeated errors by Home Depot. They measured the screen door incorrectly. After they remeasured, I went in to pay and ended up with a different sales person who decided that I needed to get a third measurement so I could use a cheaper company for the install. Even though I told this sales person I just wanted to go with what had been measured, he pretty much refused, since he knew better than everyone else. This guy was a p**** so I just gave in. Unfortunately no one ever came to measure this time. When I contacted the store the employees were rude about everything so I had to contact corporate. After restarting everything, now they decided that my entire front door needed to be replaced to put in a new screen. After failing the provide an explanation as to why I was now going to need to replace the entire front door and me threatening legal action over consumer fraud , Home Depot agreed to do the project for free. When the installer finally came, he brought the wrong door. I had to wait to get the correct one. After that was installed, the installer came back to install the screen door, but once again brought the wrong door. At this point, nine months had gone by and I just wanted this done so I had them install the screen that was brought. I would like to give a special shout out to District Manager Christina for ghosting my after the installer brought the wrong door. I messaged and called her at least a dozen times with no response. Even after store manager Tracy repeatedly lied to me about why the doors were mixed up, Christina failed to get back to me. It is not hard to see why this store is as bad as it is considering the piss poor leadership shadow that is cast by Christina. Tracy is also pretty incompetent. I caught her in lies multiple times and she just continued to blame everyone else for her mistakes.

Really confusing checkout. No one was using self-checkout and I had two items so I walked up to check out. An associated told me I needed to get into the line and I was confused "why is no one coming here?" "Another associate is calling them here." Okay, sure. But, when I got to the line, it was a few older customers with baskets full of items that said they didn't want self-checkout. I observed another guy who also got directed to the line after trying to do self-checkout because it was STILL available. I got called to an actual checker (not what I wanted--I wanted self checkout because I wanted in and out without small talk) and observed there were still self-checkout kiosks open. Super weird. Why would you have the same line for attender checkout and self checkout when some people are uncomfortable with self checkout or (like me) prefer it? I DID like the order pickup in the lockers though. I guess I'll stick to that.

The employees here were not very knowledgeable or helpful with customers, I witnessed one girl who refused to help both my friend and another customer looking for a spray paint product, my friend looked up on the Home Depot app and found that the product was in stock with at least 14 of them listed in store. He forgot to turn on the app, so he came to ask the girl working right there, all she replied were she haven't seen them for awhile and continued with her thing, abandoned my friend completely, she was with another co worker, and when my friend turned on the app to show the product number, the co worker didn't seem to know how to look it up, so she asked if the girl could help her out, but she also ignored her. Then another customer come in to ask her for help with another paint product, she told him the same answer as she told my friend. So I told the guy he should ask someone else since she did the same to my friend which he agreed. Luckily the other girl was able to spot the item on the shelves for my friend. As we left to the register, I told my friend even if you just stocking products, you should be knowledgeable or at least tried to be helpful and not leaving people hanging like that. Whoever got them thru the hiring process should have trained them a little better.

Horrible experience from the STORE MANAGER DAN He was physically threatening and rude when asked for assistance, he was refusing to let me examine a product without his guidance and knowledge and when asked to speak to a manager he freaked out (phone recorded) and refused to move out of my arm reach because he has a "mask" so much for the 6ft rule thank Dan
