Came to withdraw money in the drive through. I don't really know how it works, waited to be assisted for 10 minutes. They have a window were they can see me and i was the only one left waiting. When I pressed on the "call teller" button the lady on the speaker screamed "YES!" With an annoyed and rude voice. I asked her why she was being rude to me, she said sh wasn't but that I didn't send the canester. I told her I don't really know how to use this service and she should not expect for me to know. I asked if I could work with someone else. I then got assisted by another rep. She clearly didn't appreciate me pressing the button.

I created a business bank account about a year ago. Tom, the account rep was very friendly and helpful. If you want to establish personal relationship with your banker that actually matters I would recommend this bank. You're not just a number like with Bank of America or Chase.

Walked in no line, was greeted from the teller she was polite and friendly. I didn't have my card I had left at home in different state but provided her with my Identification card plus even showed her my other credit union bank card as a second form of ID even though she didn't ask for. I was able to withdrawal a large amount of cash without any issues due to not having the bank card present with me. She asked me what was my address and that was it. I received my funds she asked me if I needed an envelope and that was it. Fast and efficient, there was hand sanitizer and inside was immaculate.

Big bank banking, only theres fewer branches and they're closed on the weekends. This branch has particularly poor customer service.

I have a bank check written off of your bank from my previous apartment complex and you refuse you cash it because I don’t have an ID and a credit card. Not everyone has a credit card and a debit isn’t good enough for you folks. It is written from your bank and my name is on it. Not everyone has a credit card. Not only did the apartment complex screw me out of $150 you’re trying to screw me out of the other $150. Your bank is garbage

They refuse to cash checks that are written from their bank. They require an ID and credit card. Not everyone has a credit card. A debit isn't good enough for these people. I have an ID, utility bill, car insurance, car registration. Nope they want a credit card. I would never bank here.

California Bank and Trust Values Profits Over Children With Disabilities: I have three children with disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and autism, and they need healthcare, especially during a pandemic. As a result of California Bank and Trusts reporting method, I can't get healthcare for my children. A California Bank & Trust representative, informed us, that $245 is more important to California Bank and Trust, than the lives, and healthcare of three children with disabilities, during a pandemic. California Bank & Trust in El Cajon is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Best customer service I have had from any bank or any company lately in general. They treat you exactly how a bank should. I can't say enough about their kindness, efficiency, and prompt responses. They put customers first. Their follow through on helping my business apply for & obtain the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan during this extremely difficult time was top notch. Due to being unable to apply for the PPP Loan through BofA where I've banked for 20 years, a friend told me that CalB&T was allowing new customers to open a business bank account with them and then allowing them to immediately apply for the PPP Loan. I e-mailed CalB&T's Tom Kuo inquiring on Sunday 4/26. I communicated throughout Monday 4/27 with Tom on my new account set up and Josh Hill regarding my PPP Loan application (I was able to fill out the application on Monday). I set up an in-person SAFE (social distancing with masks & limited # of people inside the bank) appointment for Tuesday 4/28 to sign the new business bank accounts documents with Tom & Josh submitted my PPP Loan application before I even arrived back home. Josh gave me his personal cell phone, so that as I had questions filling out the application (even at night) I wouldn't be alone. The SBA approved my PPP Loan application on Thursday 4/30 & my loan funded same day! THIS IS AN AMAZING TURNAROUND TIME for those of you dealing with these SBA Loans! The service provided by Tom Kuo and Josh Hill is next level. I could not be happier with California Bank & Trust and will now be a customer for life! 5-star doesn't even cut it!

This is the first time in 10 years that a bank wouldn’t cash a check for me. I run my own business.Whenever I have a new client who pays me with a check larger than $4000 I like to cash and verify it at their personal bank. This bank couldn’t verify my “identity” even though I showed them my US passport, AAA member card, Bank of America card, 2 SDCCU card, SDSU ID, Costco and Sams club card. Most of them had my picture and signature. I’ve gone to banks all around Southern California and never had this problem. They didn’t even try to call the member who made to verify. After telling my client what had happened he was enraged and committed to switching banks.

Kay is an absolutely amazing Teller. My company banks here, so I stop by often and today was my first time meeting Kay and I just have to say that she went above and beyond with her customer service! Most Tellers here are polite but that's about it, Kay made me feel welcome and spoke to me during the entire transaction. She is GREAT!

I'm a office manager and my company banks with California Bank & Trust and I can't say enough about the employees that work there, especially Andrew. So helpful, no matter what I call for, he's very efficient and gets right back to me with information I need. I highly recommend this bank for personal and business.
