They weren't helpful in the whereabouts of my package.

This post office was clean and well supplied. The staff was courteous, knowledgable and efficient but as usual for post offices... short staffed. As a family member of a retired postal worker, I am aware of how they pile on the tasks and every task is timed and scrutinized. They did a great of helping everyone in line.

Closed Saturday and Sunday. Guess the rest of us with full time jobs can never pickup a missed package in Palo Alto.

Thank you to Kiara for her amazing service at walk-in passports! Very kind very professional. 4 stars is only because the location ran out of money orders so anyone coming in for passports this week should bring checks. But 10/10 service! Tip: be early, be over prepared haha

First of all, General Delivery was established by Congress for special situations when American citizens are traveling & need a place to temporarily receive mail. Some PCT (Pacific Coast Trail) as well as Appalachian Trail hikers often use it to receive necessities from their supporters. I know cross-country travelers who use it to have necessities sent to them , among other things.
I begin with the above preface to explain my main point: I am traveling and I needed a medical device and so I ordered it and had it sent to the Cambridge Post office, in my name, general delivery.
But the USPS tracking told me to pick it up at the Bayshore location. However, at Bayshore they couldn't find it and told me to check at Cambridge.
But before I left, the girl who looked for my package ? told me that another employee told her that I'm supposed to have special permission from the postmaster to use general delivery.
I quickly surmised that they had had a sarcastic conversation in the back assuming I was some kind of homeless bum trying to use general delivery as a substitute for having my own mailbox or post office box.
That's completely INAPPROPRIATE of them to make such jaded pessimistic assumptions. I have a home where I receive mail but it is 300 miles away and I needed the medical device ASAP (for my hip) (not prescription medication) .
I encourage the post office supervisor to monitor these employees about making such pessimistic generalizations. And don't allow them to concoct fabrications about needing permission in advance to receive a package via General Delivery. It's not true ??.
So I went over to the Cambridge location and lo and behold there was my package, no problem. What a relief - literally - it was /is for a chronic pain problem ( as mentioned above not prescription medication ?, even though it's not illegal to receive prescription medication from a licensed medical provider or pharmacist)

Be weary of negative reviews regarding the passport process. Everyone always has someone to blame when they are unprepared.
Lynn is direct and efficient. As long as you bring all the required documents and paperwork (pre filled) it won’t take longer than 15 minutes.
FYI They have the documents there to fill out if you want, but it is recommended to fill them out on a computer and then print yourself for faster appointment time.
Also, you can pay by money order at the same time with your debit or credit card, so don’t be like me and go out of your way to get a cashiers checks from your bank. (Even though online it says you can’t pay by debit or credit.)
Good luck in your passport process!

Horrible lady in the post office. Today we went for passport appointment, we were there 5 minutes early, were the first customer of the day and we were called @10:15 a.m. She is not ready to listen to the customer. She literally yelled, she doesn’t have patience.

I had trouble receiving my mail for months. This location is the only post office (I went to four) that was able to really help me out and take care of the issue. The manager was extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable and so was the person who helped me complete another form. Really appreciated their help this morning!

Arrived at 2:30 pm Friday, and there were probably 6 parking spots available when I arrived. Got in line for the sign-up sheet of walk in passport service that goes from 3 - 4 pm. They only have four 15-minute slots and I was 3rd in line. The makeshift line was placed next to the exit and separate from the regular line, so I had to explain the situation to the people that started queueing up behind me. The regular line had 7 people at most at a time and cleared up by the time I was called up.The process went by pretty quick, since the 2 people ahead of me had most of their things in order and the one employee processing us was fast & took less than 10 min each. I was instructed to fill out a few lines, but I was still out by 3:25 pm when I was expecting to leave at 4 pm.They also mentioned their appointment-making system has been broken for 2 weeks, so any appointment made would be deleted after some time. If you made it this far, good luck on your passport

Came in here because my package was showing that it was available for pickup at this location on the USPS website. Was told that it was Amazons fault that the scan had not updated and that it was out for delivery and therefore not available. I repeatedly told the lady it was on USPS website, not Amazon but she talked rather rudely over me and seemed exasperated. Overall not the nicest place and they could’ve let me know they would re deliver today so I didn’t need to drag myself down here

USPS lost a Priority Mail Express package, then 2 employees at the front counter of this Post Office told me I couldn't apply for a refund until the package had been delivered. Now I'm out $58 for the PME fee.
