Third time in a row that I've driven all the way here and found it closed, with a sign on the door saying it's closed "for an hour" ... each time I've come has been a different day/time. Sorry, but it's super inconvenient to take time out of the day and drive all the way here just to find it closed. Gotta take my business elsewhere.

Drove up to the Monterey Park Costco Shopping Center hoping to go to the Home Depot for some succulent soil for a succulent display we are doing in our front yard. The traffic in that parking lot was horrendous, turned right around. I noticed a lot of nurseries are closed on a Saturday morning, but this one was open! Called up this nursery to inquire about soil and received a prompt answer. We walked onto the nursery and were looking at the soil when an employee walked up to us to help us choose soil. She began lifting up soil onto a cart. She brought the soil to and loaded it into our car. She was incredibly helpful! We walked away with a few more succulents and I looked over their houseplant selection. The plants overall look healthy here and are appropriately priced! Definitely go here if you'd like to support a local business, I'm glad we did!

First time stop thru yesterday in search for UV shade covering. The emergence of covid has shown off the charts stats of new and returning gardeners. I began February of this year. Depot, not only location I went to but all are out of stock. "Hmm, I'll go to a nursery". So my first time Sanyo. Ownership for 9 years. Nice man but he saw he coming. Asking him if they had stock, "Yes" he said. "Do you know how much these are" he asked. "No" is my reply. He way overcharged me. "Thought you were a rich white guy" my wife's reply. Upon paying for the net he came out with "next time you come in I can show you I didn't make much on this sale". "I'll show you my cost". Too much taking is suspect. Nice looking nursery but I will never stop there again. My nursery of choice is on Lincoln Avenue in Altadena.

It's a small spot with an average selection you know lantana, bouganvallia, same types you find at home depot...nothing exotic & many plants looked a little beaten by the sun...I asked about a plant & he asked which one specifically (the same type were in same size gallon containers) then I was given a price idk I just wasn't sold ...I'd still drive all the way to Sunset Nursery

This nursery has sooo many plants. The señor who helped me was really kind and helpful. The prices are very fair. I got three plants -- a string of pearls, a pothos, and a snack plant. I'm a beginner and new to the plant community. This nursery is also conveniently located right off the freeway. Support your local businesses. I'll definitely be coming back.

Beautiful succulents, fruit and vegetable plants, and flowers! This nursery is medium sized but there are lots of plants to see and enough space to walk around while maintaining distance from others. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and they all wear masks to keep themselves and their customers safe. They keep good care of the plants and even though it has been very hot these past few months, they always look fresh and well kept. They have everything from small starters to almost fully grown plants. All the plants in my backyard were bought from here and I'm still amazed at their succulents selection because I see different ones each time I go back! My only suggestion is that I wish they sold pots!

Loved this place! Beautiful plants and great prices. It was a great experience shopping for my succulents with my son. There is an abundance of succulents to choose from and beautiful butterflies visiting the nursery.

I finally decided to develop my garden during the quarantine and had to choose between giving my money to corporate home depot or this small business in east LA. The man there is very nice and help me select the plants that went well together. I will always remember him.
