I'm giving this clinic a 1 star because everytime I call to make or re- schedule an appointment they hang up on me and it's frustrating. I asked if I could get the direct line for pedriatric dept. so I could avoid calling the 1010, but they said no. I'm only writing this review so the managers of this institution either do something about these lines or fire the people who were hired to "answer" the phones.

I WAS SEARCHING FOR A PRIMARY AND I RESEARCHED DOCTOR THEODORE SHU .. I SAW A FEW NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT I STILL WENT TO GO SEE HIM AND NOW HE IS MY PRIMARY HE IS A VERY GOOD AND CARING DOCTOR AND HIS NURSE STEPHANIE IS VERY CARING TOO VERY HELPFUL THEY ARE BOTH VERY UNDERSTANDING DOCTORS ONLY HAVE TIME FOR EACH PATIENT WE SHOULDN'T JUDGE SO HARSHLY SO STOP LEAVING HARSH COMMENTS JUST BECAUSE MAYBE YOU DIDN'T GET YOUR WAY OR WHAT YOU WANTED I LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING THEM FOR MY PRIMARY AS LONG AS I CAN AND STEPHANIE ALSO VERY KIND AND ATTENTIVE

They always tell me to come back later. Nurses upfront are completely ignorant. Would rather socialize with their coworkers and sigh when they see a patient seeking help at the front window. I hope no one visits this hospital, they could care less about about you.

I wouldn't recommend Edward Roybal medical center to anybody even if you're dying the doctors there are bunch of rejects from the medical field especially so call Dr Shu Theodore you have better luck with Siri or Google for results

I've been seeing a podiatrist for over a year now, working through multiple issues I've had with both feet with little to no resolution, I suffer from arthritis among other things. My podiatrist wants me to see a rheumatologist, I called the clinic for a referral. (Mind you my podiatrist is not within the clinic but someone I am paying out of pocket for.) I called for the referral and they told me I needed to have a phone appointment, it was about two months of waiting only to have my appointment pushed back and made with another doctor, who is not my usual one I've seen. Dr.Teran was who I was reassigned to, she spoke so fast on the phone I could hardly decipher what she was saying. I told her I was seeking a referral at the request of my podiatrist, who thinks I may have an autoimmune disorder and wants me to see a rheumatologist for issues of arthritis and inflammation. Dr.Teran spoke to me as if I was a complete fool, asking me questions in an aggressive rude manner, I'm no doctor and sorry I don't know the exact joints in my feet that are messed up, I just know what my podiatrist tells me and I'm in pain! She told me I have to get X-rays and lab work done, I've already had X-rays and lab work! What is up with this place?! Can't help anyone out??? She told me my issues with my feet have nothing to do with rheumatology...ok so why does my podiatrist want me to see one?! Pretty sure they handle care for arthritis! She was incredibly short, unable to converse with easily, didn't seem to care about anything I was trying to convey, and dismissive. I left the phone call feeling bewildered, belittled, stressed and unsatisfied.

Don’t understand why it always takes up to an hour or two be seen in urgent care at that I came as soon as they opened and there was only 3 people ahead of me. Thankfully I had nothing serious wrong just pain from my head wound, if you are IN NEED OF URGENT CARE go somewhere else unless you’re able to wait to be seen for an hour or two.

This review is strictly for Dr Demetrius Washington- the other staff has always been very helpful and pleasant every time I've visited this location. Washington has been my primary doctor for over a year now but today was my first in person visit with her (that I've been waiting over 2 months for) and it was beyond horrible. I left crying because of how useless and dismissive this "doctor" is. I came in for heart rate issues, stomach pain and severe headaches just for her to tell me "it's probably anxiety" as far as my heart issues, nothing else on that. Okay, and if I happened to be uninformed on anxiety? She had nothing else to say on the matter nor did she provide any other helpful information regarding it. I told her I was told to stop using my inhaler by another doctor in the facility as it is a stimulant. At the end of my VERY SHORT less than 15 minute visit, her nurse comes in to tell me that she prescribed me another inhaler?!?! I just told her that it made my symptoms worse and I was advised AGAINST using it right now (nor did I even need another one), so why would she prescribe me something that is going to make me physically worse????I also said Im familiar with anxiety already and I'm quite certain this is a different case, unless anxiety will wake you up from your sleep and cause a 134HR in the middle of the night. No verbal answer back from her. Literally nothing to say to that.Not to mention this woman didn't even know she was my PCP. She asked who was. Excuse me- YOU ARE???As for my headaches, she asked if I've been taking any medication for it to which I responded ibuprofen. She then asked if I wanted a script for more ibuprofen? I said no, I clearly already have access to some. I'd like more insight as to why I might be getting more severe headaches. Nothing else on that except "well if you've gotten them your whole life you're probably fine". Excuse me? Yes I said I've had frequent headaches my whole life but if your patient is telling you they've gotten more severe, why would you dismiss me so quickly? Just said to drink more water and offered a script for something I can get at CVS. What a joke.As for my stomach pain, she asked basic questions, felt my stomach a little and said she'll order an ultrasound. Okay, except I've been in severe pain specifically since Friday. I go to the radiology dept and they can't do the ultrasound until A WEEK from then. She gave no other advice or help for peace of mind, like maybe I should see an ER if it persists, nothing. I still currently have this pain that is not normal and very new and I left with ZERO answers. She just said to keep taking the antacids I have. This woman is a horrible horrible excuse for a doctor, she gave me zero piece of mind and even less medical information on anything I asked her about. All their appts are 2 months out and this is how you treat your patients? Disgusting and I hope she doesn't ruin anyone else's visit this way or god forbid I take myself to an ER just to receive better hell than my own PCP. I'll be switching practitioners immediately and I hope to never see this woman again. Horrible waste of our time, mind and HERS both, but she seemed to know that already. Dr Demetrius Washington, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself.

This place is the WORST. The review below mine saying this place has the “very best medical care” is a flat out LIE. More like the WORST. The nurses are condescending, rude and they REFUSE to give referrals even when they have so many patients any appointment you get is over a month out. RIDICULOUS. Someone should SUE this place and the doctors for medical malpractice.

Place is TRASH like the nurses. The nurses are rude and condescending. They should be working at McDonald's. At least the attitudes and poor communication would make sense- but these are supposed to be professionals.

Muy mala clínica !! La atención mala y los médicos no ponen atención !! Te atienden nomas por salir del compromiso !! Si vienes a urgencias tienes que venir una hora antes que abran porq sólo atienden a 5 personas !

Very disappointed with the care my father is receiving. He was seen by Dr Terán following a hospitalization due to a heart attack and was not given a Cardiologist referral. It seems like you're just a number and visits are limited to 15 min. Definitely felt like our needs were not heard.
