I guess this place is OK if you are local and don't want to go someplace in Chico, but it really needs a major reorganization inside. Stuff everywhere, it looks like the shipping receiving department is next to the counter. They are finicky about selling or transferring things that other Local stores have no problem with. it feels like it has some potential but just kind of messy and not particularly welcoming. I get that it is not supposed to be a cozy coffee shop, but whatever.

Rude know it all attitudes from all staff members. Horrible customer service from the actual owner. Owner acts as though, we should be lucky to be in his store. Had an online ammo purchase transferred to his store. I had pre authorization from him before doing so. When I picked up the ammo, it was as though he was offended that I did not purchase his ridiculously overpriced, in-house ammunition. So the customer service was absolutely horrible. The questions I asked were short answered, and his attitude was that of a jerk. I let everyone know about my experience. People like this should not own gun stores or any business for that matter. Attitude needs to change. Had the customer service been good I would have actually considered coming back!. But unfortunately, the ATF are coming down, harshly on guns store owners, and therefore he passes down his frustrations to his customers….terrible

Seems like anytime I've stopped in at this place if I'm not buying hundreds of rounds they've seemed generally not interested in making a sale, Also some of the more expensive ammo prices I've seen in the area.

If I could give this store owner a negative zero I would have. I went there to this gun store just to purchase ammunition. This owner stupid dude ask me did I have California real ID card. I said no. He said, i order to purchase ammunition in california you need the real ID card crap. (Department of Justice's FAQ, ammunition buyers must show a valid California driver's license, California identification card (for non-drivers), or military identification.) And not any Bullshit ass real ID card crap. Dude if you didn't want to sale me anything that's all you have to say. But don't lie about some Bullshit ass federal law. So I went to another store to purchase ammunition in California. with my california drivers license only.

Good folk, but TERRIBLE gun smithing left a part very loose which is absolutely inexcusable, without a doubt a HALF-A*S Job was done with my firearm very disappointing. But otherwise than that, okay customer service, as well as selection in store, but I will definitely NEVER do business there again, nor would I recommend it to ANYONE.

They bait and switched me, I “bought” a 3.5 inch 870, my dream gun and was to happy to check the box fully, they gave me a 3 inch gun I already owned and would not have paid for and I already put money and time into building it, they need to make this right and when I attempted to go in they didn’t help me at all, was told to call in later

Bought a rifle on the 10th went to pick up on 20th was told i needed my birth certificuit because i didnt have a "real id" but i have the old one without federal limits he got mad almost kicked me out and gave me a refund wirhout me asking note didnt get refund for background check. Went strait to sportsmans warehouse they said my id was fine and sold me a gun will pick it up in 10 days without birth certificuit. So will never go to ignorant guy at durham guns and ammo

I purchased a rifle with the old style DL the one that doesnt have federal restrictions went to pick up gun 10 days later was then told i needed birth certificut to pick it up, when i told him the id is fine he told me i needed to leave his store and he would mail me a refund"note not for the background check" i went strait to sportsmans warehouse who told me id was fine and didnt need a birth certificut and i bought gun there. So i wont ever go here again

Shady place to buy guns I was told that a lower was 250 my girlfriend went bought it it was $350 when she went in she went in to go pick up the lower they told her that she could not pick it up because of their d o g their background checks couldn't go through cuz they of their payment so
