The Ted Fay Fly Shop is an institution in the Shasta region. Bob Grace can give you an up to date report on the McCloud, Upper Sac, Hat Creek, Pit, and the other exceptional rivers in the area, supply you with appropriate gear, and ensure you know where to go and how to get there. This is THE shop to visit if you are heading to California's best rivers, bar none. It doesn't hurt that the Dunsmuir brewery is across the street, either.

This is Fly Fishing central for the Sacramento River area as it flows through and past Dunsmuir. There are plenty of access points for the river and you can ask about them at the Fly Shop. River hikes, amazing waterfalls, hiking, fly fishing. So much to do and it's all supremely beautiful.

Just learning how to fly fish and went to check out the shop. Bob is super nice guy and always fun to talk to when I can make it in. Great selection of quality goods on top of great service and atmosphere makes for an A+

A friend and I headed west from North Carolina for some fly fishing. We did some guided trips and some DIY trips. On a DIY trip on the upper Sac, we ran into a gentleman along the railroad tracks. We had a good talk and later found out it was Bob Grace. What an incredible guy. Super helpful and a great shop to restock on supplies and buy gear we didn't know we needed for the Cali style of fishing. I will never forget the experience of meeting Bob on the tracks and all of the helpful tips he gave us for our adventure. Thanks, Bob!

Possibly the best fly shop I've ever been to. Selection is great, with a wide range of stuff for both new anglers and old. I like to stock up on their thin humpies when I'm in town. Let's give credit where it's due, though: Bob is an absolute professional. His customer service harkens back to the 90s, and he will make sure you're taken care of. I really cannot say enough good things about you, Bob, you made our trip. The store so nice, you've gotta visit twice!

I was there earlier this week, and just wanted to share what a great shop this is! The gentleman, Bob I believe his name was, is really knowledgeable on the area, and super helpful! Great customer service with an awesome selection of flies. Definitely will stop by every time I'm fishing in the area!

This is the best fly shop within 100 miles. I stop there every time I get to Dunsmuir. Bob has been an awesome proprietor carrying on the Ted Fay legacy and Steven, as is Bob extremely knowledgeable about the local tactics and hatches. Don't miss this shop if you're passing through Dunsmuir, Ca.

My first visit here was short but memorable - Bob and the other gentleman working there are wonderful to talk to and a wealth of knowledge. They have everything you might need to fish their waters effectively and some great resources, like their annotated map of the area, to guide you in the journey. I also bought some of Bob’s flies, which are beautiful. Give them a visit!

This was my first visit to Dunsmuir to fish the upper Sac & McCloud river. We visited and fished the area for a week. We stopped in the shop to check it out and spoke with Bob. Bob was very friendly and knowledgeable. He has a good fly selection and will share some area knowledge with you. The shop is about the size you would expect for a fly shop. The shop has just about everything you would need for a fishing adventure. He carries all the major brands like Simms & Patagonia. If you are fishing the area, this shop is worth checking out.
