As a recent transplant in Sonoma County, my journey here unfolded through a series of whimsical signs guided by fate and trust. My first month here entailed exploring neighboring cities and small towns with my dog Luci. One small town I stumbled upon was Duncans Mills. Initially drawn in for a coffee and pastry at Gold Coast Coffee and Bakery, my attention shifted to a quaint village of shops across the road, including a tiny shack-sized bookstore.Stepping into this magical bookshop felt like crossing a threshold akin to the 9 3/4 platform in the Harry Potter series. Despite its small size, the store boasted a curated collection of excellent books. My favorite section, featuring spiritual and mental health books, became a personal haven. Meeting the warm and welcoming owner, Stephanie, during my first visit, further enhanced the enchantment.I’ve revisited this bookstore thrice, making it a ritual whenever I’m in Duncans Mills. For me, books are a source of joy, and Stephanie has skillfully chosen volumes that can delight any reader. Light and love reside in this little bookstore, offering happiness to all, especially those who still appreciate the tangible charm of printed books. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone in the area to step inside and experience the magic of this unique shop.

Cute store - seems to be morphing a little as there is a wide selection of candy choices now. (EDIT: Thanks to the owner for explaining the addition of the candy! Happy you are filling that need for the community). Fun to look at if you're in the area, but not the biggest selection of course due to size. Really cute gifts and materials can be ordered if you're looking for something specific.

If you are in Duncan Mills, or passing through, you have to stop here and explore. I was so impressed by the selection of books in such a small space. The staff was friendly, made great conversation, and gave me a few great recommendations. Nice selection of kids books as well. They also sell gifts and candies. We were so glad we stopped in!

An absolutely adorable bookshop — the smallest in the country — with an excellent selection of new and used books. Highly recommend stopping here while strolling through all the wonderful shops nearby!

Wow. This is going to be hard to put into words. This little pocket of a book store is a magical find. My husband and I were on a road trip home from Oregon and we decided to turn off Highway 1 to get a break from the windy roads and boy are we glad we did. We drove past this cute little village of shops and I felt a pull to make a U turn and go back. We walked around for a moment and I was instantly drawn into this mystical, magical, oasis corner book shop. But wait, there's more! I was filled with glee as I perused the shelves and discovered many (many!) books and treats I wanted to bring home with me, which I did. What was more of a find was Stephanie herself, the owner. It was an instant connection, and being so far from home, it was even more meaningful. Stephanie has put her heart and soul into her tiny, yet overflowing, corner book shop. You can tell how much she cares and I promise you that you will find something to bring home that you will cherish forever. If you aren't in the area you can also support her business remotely by placing an order online. Her selection is vast and she will also introduce you to lovely authors that you might enjoy. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship indeed. I highly encourage you to shop small, shop indie bookshops, and put your money into small businesses like Stephanie's. As a small business owner myself, I can attest to how important it is that we take the time to truly think of the ripple effect of this type of relationship you can curate with a passionate business owner like Stephanie. I look forward to purchasing many more books from her and spreading the word of this little find. Blessings to all.

A must go! Situated amongst other adorable and flourishing shops, it is THE picturesque Book store. You’ll find something for yourself, guaranteed, and others with Poet Corner’s wide selection of novels, biographies, cook books and more! Well worth the stop in to-and-fro the beach or if you’re just in the area.

Wandering through the quaint shops in Duncan’s Mills, we discovered this perfect gem of a #bookstore filled with a variety of fun, quirky, unique reads and fun gifts to suit anyone. Stephanie and her little chihuahua made us very welcome in the pet friendly space and the Poets Corner Bookshop reminded me of all the reasons why indie bookstores are the best!

Stephanie has created an enchanting and charming little shop that will serve as a very special community gathering place in the heart of Duncan’s Mills. Poet’s Corner Book Shop is filled with all items hand selected and personally praised by Stephanie. It is evident that she gives her heart and soul to her focus and her dreams. The shop is a reflection of her desire to create beauty and her choice awareness to live life in a divinely flowing, and available way. Stephanie is gracious, kind, intelligent, witty, and is a delight to engage with. I highly encourage you to drop by her store in person if you can (or online if you can’t). You’ll be happy you did!

Such a cute little book store! My daughter was trying to find a book store to visit while staying at Casini Ranch. She googled Poets Corner Book Shop and asked to visit. We went yesterday and the owner was super friendly. She helped my daughter and son both pick out books, or atleast guided them on where to look. May have to go back again tomorrow as my daughter is almost done reading her book and is wanting another one.

This tiny bookstore reminds me of why puppies are cuter than dogs. But what further surprised me is that you don't need huge choice -- like a book barn -- to find what you like! Yes, there is a rich and carefully cultivated choice on hand; but then there is ready access to anything right through the stores services (including audio books!). Visit, and because of its location and setting getting there will be half the fun. A small business very worth supporting. And applauding.
