The owner of the shop and the cashier, who is a woman, are extremely rude and bad-mannered, and the meats and kebabs are stale and of poor quality.They behave very badly with customers, they serve without a smile and with a frown?

Really delicious Persian and Afghan food (similar to Mediterranean food)! Family owned; the owner's son Ben is really friendly. They also have a grocery store connected to the restaurant, with Middle Eastern and Indian food that you can't find in normal grocery stores. They cater as well if you want to serve a large party or work event!

Sahara market is the best one stop shop for all your middle eastern products. Been coming here for years even before the new management. It's been great. My wife absolutely loves the kebobs & I strongly recommend this to anyone in the bay area.

I went to get some marinated meat from this Market and the latin worker in the meat section was rude when I asked for a couple of extra leg quaters. He started cursing in spanish and I said that I understood what he was saying and that he doesn't have curse at me just do your job. Please hire better people.

Excellent experience for me and my family. Ben took care of us, we had delicious beef and lamb plates and the homemade baklava was fantastic.

My recent visit to the Sahara Market was quite pleasant but unusual. The extensive array of groceries, aromatic spices, and freshly baked bread showcased the authenticity and quality of their products. The integration of a restaurant within the store added an extra layer of convenience. What took me by surprise was the peculiar but manageable business process of requiring a minimum $10 total for card transactions or else you are required to pay in cash. While it might be an inconvenience for small purchases, it also encouraged me to explore more of the store's offerings. They certainly offer an extensive selection of items so in that respect I do recommend a visit... just be sure to bring cash.

Yesterday, I placed an order for a chicken skewer (chicken breast) priced at $11.99 and a beef skewer priced at $12.99. Typically, the skewer contains a minimum of six medium-sized pieces but may have 8 or 10 pieces. The chicken skewer met expectations with its six medium pieces, while the beef skewer disappointed with only four small pieces. I find it puzzling that there was a one-dollar price difference given the smaller portion, which is likely less than a quarter of a pound. While I understand that lamb is generally more expensive than beef, and I can envision a smaller portion for lamb kabobs, I believe the beef skewer falls short of justifying its price.

I come here often. Each time I get the Lamb & Beef SH plate. ??? Since I live in stockton, ca, I bring a plate home to my wife who also loves this meal. When ordering, I am met with hospitality and care for me still learning more about the culture and different foods that I try. I recommend stopping by and grabbing some lunch or dinner that not only tastes good but doesn’t leave you feeling sluggish afterwards. Good stuff, will be back soon. ??
