I recently visited the BMO Bank in Dublin, enticed by their modern-sounding commercials, only to be met with a reality that starkly contrasted their advertised image. The bank's interior felt outdated, complete with uncomfortable and unattractive chairs, which immediately dampened my initial excitement. However, the physical environment was only the beginning of a series of letdowns.My purpose was to open a business account, a process I anticipated would be straightforward and professional, given BMO's reputation. Unfortunately, the service fell short of my expectations. After a 20-minute wait with no acknowledgment, my patience waned, and just as I decided to leave, a teller, who mentioned she had been on her break, approached me outside. This interaction did not redeem the situation. Her approach was unprofessional, and it was clear there was no structured checklist for opening new accounts. I was repeatedly asked if my business was a church, despite my clarifications to the contrary, highlighting a lack of knowledge and preparation on her part.The lack of professionalism and the apparent disorganization left me extremely frustrated. It was disheartening to witness such a gap between the bank's self-presentation and the actual service quality. I walked out feeling disappointed and have decided not to return. This experience has shown me that BMO Bank in Dublin does not live up to the modern, customer-centric bank it claims to be in its commercials. To anyone considering banking here, I would suggest looking elsewhere, where the quality of service matches the marketing promises.

If I can give negative points to this bank I would do it, they took 45mins to cash a simple check that was from their own bank, makes no sense at all, and they are doing the same thing this time I am trying to cash my payroll check, it's pretty sad that in todays fast pace world they move like a snell....

Went to BMO to ask about my debit card and to deposit funds. They were incredibly dismissive and rude. I closed my account immediately. Went to Citi and was treated very well.

This used to be BANK of the WEST. Now BMO and HORRIBLE. Bank of the West was going down hill the last two years, but this is now horrendous. Customer Service is non existent. For example, I cannot log onto to my Bank account on line, and I am receiving no assistance what so ever, and this has just been since BMO took over. I am changing Banks, and quickly.

I have been with BANK of The WEST for 7 years.And it was a welcome release and relief to get away from BOA ,but for the last four months, That releases has turned to frustrations, anger and downright hostility WTF I have not been able to pay my rent ( in full) on the mobile app.. So you know how they tell you push you - go to the mobile app because they don't want to talk to you or pay somebody to talk to you .well they have amount limit. LOW amounts limits. On how much money you can spend through their bank . When I called to verify and complain, BOW told me to take my computer and login to their website and pay the second half of my bill.1) Because I have a double verification ( the new problem aggregation is the text don't work . They send me a text . And when I use it - their system sends my bank to start again. I get caught in a loop where they send the text and I put it in and they send another text and I put it in four times until they lock you out of my account and you have to call-in to have everything re- set ?????SO NOW I have to go through my emails to get the verification code to login from the BOW app . OMG just updated - upgrade fix your system. It is 2023??????So you can only send a small amount of money every month through Zelle . ??the Text part is not working. ?????My question bank of the west is what the hell is working

They are never open. And when they are they are extremely slow. I've only used this branch for 6mos and they have been temporarily closed 3 times. Why even have a branch office???

Horrible bank. Hidden monthly fees that "accidentally got added on". ATM is constantly broken. Never received $300 for a promotion to open new account with direct deposit. They constantly find ways to disappoint me. Enough is enough. I should have to pay $30/month for garbage service.

Customer Service above all expectations. It was a rainy day and one of the employees was walking in and I roll down my window and asked is there someway I can withdraw cash because I have a baby asleep in the car. They said no problem I'll have somebody write out to see you they came out asking for the money I needed showed my ID in my bank of the west card and a few minutes later somebody came out with an envelope of the money I needed never had to disturb the baby and it was again above and beyond all expectations.

I don't have a personal account here but I've used this branch 4 times. The last time I visited, there was a young guy who helped me and he wasn't rude but not friendly at all. I'm pretty sure his name was Amir. I can't say he's bitter or burnt out because I only saw him for 5 minutes, but next time I'll make sure to go to a different teller. I believe I asked him 2 different questions and his demeanor was defensive. Before finishing my question, he already answered. I'm sure it's due to being tired of dealing with so many annoying customers all the time, but if I came in with a positive approach, I expect the same in return.

If I could give this bank a minus star I would. Three years ago my 89 year old mother was put in a facility for memory care. She has Dementia so advanced she needs 24 hour supervision. With only a $1100 a month Social Security check, her $ 5100 a month care facility was not making it. She had about $300,000 from the sale of her house that we supplement the payment. We put $100,000 in a 3 year CD with Bank of the West, they gave us a 1 1/2 % rate, which was the best at the time. Well 3 years later, without contacting us, they renewed it for 3 more years at .55% interest. I contacted the bank to let them know we were going to need the money and they are charging her $3500 to take the money out. We were not notified that it was renewing, or to ask about a different rate since they are at 2 1/2% now. No, they just took it upon themselves to cheat her out of the 2% she would have earned on her CD. I even spoke to the manager, who took it to the higher ups, that declined our request for a reversal of fees. When we opened this account I brought her in the branch. The officer that originally opened this account could visibly see she was not capable of managing her affairs, that is why I was the contact person. I have been using this bank for the last 10 years for myself and have been a good customer. That bares no loyalty or concern from this bank. I am taking my accounts elsewhere.

The people that work at the branch are like family every time I walk in there with my wife they ask us how we're doing they're so nice and polite courteous excellent service never ever ever had a problem with anything there but excellent excellent service thank you Sue and crew

I had not received my 1099 yet, so I decided to call and inquire. I called the 800 number and was informed that they can't help me, I would have to call the branch. Really? So I called the branch. It rang about 30 times before someone answered. She was not very professional, and I could not understand her because of her accent. I told her what I needed, and she gave me some runaround. I asked that they send out a copy to me. She told me to wait a few more days. This is not good customer service. I am moving my account elsewhere.
