y'all suck if y'all say this place sucks I've been going to the school next to it and saves me a lot of cash when I want snacks. The stores near it would make my items 6 dollars more but here I can buy so much for like 5 bucks or less.

This place steals your money. They round out your change and keep it. I am reporting them to better business bureau, as they are not ethical when conducting business. Never going back to this place again

If I could give this place one star I would. They idiot cashier scanned the same power ball lotto ticket twice and charged me! He didn't give me my money back he didn't even give me another ticket. He could've ruined my chances at winning and all he did was kick me out of the store when I asked for my money back. This place is literally trash the worst liquor store to exist in Downey ever

There's not an old river here, but there is plenty of ice, snacks, candy, lotto, and friendly service. Liquor bottle specials and the 1980s nostalgia is a free added bonus. Nice place.

It has a small parking lot with small parking spaces. They have a pretty good variety. The service is hit and miss. The woman who works there is not friendly.

Since Yelp deleted my first review I'll say it again: this place is racist. This lady called me and my bf the n word just bc he asked for cash back. If you have any morals you won't give this place your money.

Last night.....Walked in 15 minutes before closing. There is a guy cleaning up towards the back as you enter. I walk up to the counter. There is no one visible. I simply call out "Hello?". The girl that always wears the Lakers, Kobe/Gigi, heart hoodie rises from below the counter and says, "I'm on the phone!". Customer service? No! She was annoyed that I inconvenienced her as she was supposed to be doing her job. Only one other time have experienced Horrible customer service at an establishment. As I left, I told her that her customer service was awful and that she should find a new line of work. Of course, she mouthed back, and I replied, it went on,and I said "Bye Felicia". She kept clapping back, and I told her that I will never come back as long is she is there. She said some words and kept going on and on. This was my childhood liquor store. I live walking distance from this place. I will now frequent Downey Liquor on Firestone, which has a great Craft Beer collection. Bye Felicia!

This store is committing credit card fraud. Make sure you always get a receipt because they charge you more than what your pay. Be care they are cheating you. Big time.
