0 stars from us. We came in for my 12 year old's appointment. She called herself after looking at the great reviews that they had online and asked if we could please take her to get a haircut. She wanted to pay for it for herself. She made the appointment for 4 PM today. We show up maybe 5 minutes early. Let them know we are there. They not only miss pronounce her name. They miss pronounce it twice. No big deal it happens. And we waited almost 20 minutes without any acknowledgment, no "we will be right with you." Anything. They only had one customer and she left a few minutes after we got there. I don't understand why we had to wait so long after scheduling an appointment. We felt completely ignored after 20 minutes of being there. No "sorry, we will be right with you". Nothing but gossip in the background! Then five minutes after we leave is when they call and ask if we left after saying her name wrong for the 3rd time! Honestly it felt like none of the hair stylists wanted to help our daughter. Maybe they though the value of the job too low for their interests, whatever! They missed a big chance with us, we were all going to book for cuts and color depending on how they did with our daughter. We won't be going back that's for sure!

I agree with another reviewer. I can’t speak for everyone there, but it is possible for you to feel cheated when you’re finally charged at the end for their services. Natasha just about doubled the price she led on with, and I ended up being charged $455. It caught me completely off guard since my sisters hair was already short, she cut it just a bit shorter, and proceeded to give my sister as natural a look as she could. I’ve had more work done, and even though her work was not bad, I’ve had better work done, and have had my sisters hair done when it was nearly twice as long, it came out much better, and the price was half what Natasha ended up charging. She did blame it on pandemic changes, and increased prices, but she led on with another price that seemed more in line with what I was satisfied with, and ended up making the whole experience one to try forget, forgive, and let go. Of course I will not be going back, and I’ll have to take this as a lesson learned.

Made a hair appointment a week prior and had my hair done for my wedding by Natasha. She did an amazing job and I look beautiful on my wedding on Valentine's Day 2023. They we're very kind and answered all my questions, they even reminded you of the cancel policy. Apparently if you want to cancel your appointment there has to be a 24-hour notice or their may be a charge. Before booking you also need to leave your credit card information to keep your spot. All in all my hairdo for my wedding was phenomenal and she is very social and easy to talk to. Thank you, Natasha!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new hair salon, and this one caught my eye because of all the glowing Yelp reviews and beautiful blonde balayage hair photos (my usual style). I texted their number with current photos of my hair as well as inspiration photos, and Desi was very prompt in getting back to me and scheduling my appointment with Dee. Once I sent the retainer payment, everything was all set! I arrived on Thursday 12/29 at 10am right when they opened, and Dee immediately greeted me and led me to her chair even though I think she was just getting in herself. I was really grateful for that, as I hate having to wait when I have an appointment. Dee was already prepared and aware of what I wanted done, but she asked me questions to make sure she got it right and listened attentively as I answered. She also gave me suggestions on what would look good on me but mostly made sure she understood what I wanted. She was super friendly and easy to talk to but also wasn't overly talkative which I appreciate. Any time she had to step away, she explained what she was going to go do and when she would be back. She also checked up on me frequently, asking if I needed to use the restroom, etc. While she was doing my hair, she would always ask if I wanted it like this or like that to make sure I'd be happy with the end result. She was also super gentle with her hands throughout the entire process and was mindful of accidentally hitting my ear, etc. She's so sweet! The balayage took about 4.5 hours total, which is quicker than what I've experienced previously so I was thrilled. But more importantly, my hair looks amazing! I've definitely found my new colorist. Thank you Dee!

You will not be disappointed. This is probably the best place in the city to get a haircut. I have lived in the city for a long time and I have been going to jae valentine for a couple years now.Sadie Ramirez is a magician with the scissors!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND COMING AGAIN!!!

Brought my daughter here for a long over do hair cut a few weeks ago. Zoe did and amazing job on her hair and made her feel comfortable during the process. Her hair looked so good and she was happy with her new style.

I went in for color and cut with Denise and I fell in love with my hair! She's amazing at her job. She's super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. She also gave me tips on different hair products I should use to maintain my hair. I would definitely go back to her.

Around Nov. 2020 I was ready to change my hair from grown out black box dye to something brighter. I found Dee on Instagram @paintedbalayages and went into the salon for a consult. Over the last 2 years Dee has taken my hair into her hands and has transformed it. She always follows my inspo pics and will send me pics of new products to use to keep my hair strong. I'm so happy to have found Dee, she is such a nice person to talk to during my appointments. I book about a month ahead of time and she's always had a retainer policy that goes towards your end total. Thank you Dee you're truly the best!!!!

I really enjoyed the time and attention everyone took to make sure I got what I wanted. Silvia did my hair and she was very thorough in explaining how we could safely get to my desired hair color. Would 100% recommend!

I've been coming for YEARS! My girl Letty has taken my hair from damaged to healthy and always take care of it when I want to color it. I've gone from platinum blonde to copper and my hair has been healthy throughout the whole process! She knows exactly what I want and she does it in a reasonable time She will even tell you what products you should be using which I really appreciate since I want to know what's healthy forHere are some pictures of her amazing work on me

Can I just say how much I love this hair salon. When I was first looking for places I was scared of them messing up my hair cause there were many negative reviews but I have had such a great experience here. First of all I love Dee! She is the go to person for hair dying. Man she has done an amazing job with my crazy hair coloring. I put my hair on her hands. I have literally give her permission to experiment colors on me because of how great she is. Guys definitely ask for Dee. I have already told some of my friends to go to her and they have all had great interactions/ experiences with her.

I always can tell how my experience will go by how the receptionist is and it wasn't that great right when I walked in. Just like other reviews, not very welcoming. She was on the phone, looked at me without a smile and didn't really say anything until I said I had an appt. I wasn't even greeted. I've worked as a front desk receptionist (one at a fine dining restaurant and one at a small biz spa) and I've given better greetings than that even on the phone (she wasn't actively talking on it either so no excuse to not at least mouth something or smile). So right from there I wasn't thrilled. My appointment was at 12 pm which I booked a couple weeks in advance because I read good things about this establishment. Trying to make the appointment seemed difficult since they tried having me come on a different day just for a haircut but I'm glad they still squeezed me in... even though it wasn't that last minute. It seemed that I waited longer than the actual service itself. Zoe finally got to me at 12:20, I was done after a quick shampoo, trim and layers, maybe that took about 20 minutes too? Zoe was nice but I noticed right after she was done with my service she was tending another client who seemed to be priority. My service felt way too rushed for $65 + tip in cash for a haircut.

I got my hair done with Leticia she charged me $480 To get to a copper color . The first time I loved my hair but I had a couple blonde streaks and asked her to fix it she agreed when I went back to her she totally gave me a completely different color she gave me a dark cherry .. I told her right away I didn't like it and it's not what I came in with again she agreed to fix it so I go for the THIRD time to fix it she did a bleach wash scrubbed my hair for two hours in a uncomfortable position only to still not get me to the color she gave me at first & completely DAMAGE my hair and my scalp was burning for the next two days . I messaged her to let her know that because of a mistake she did my hair is so bad .. I payed $480 for my hair to be like this ... she doesn't want to give me a partial refund that I truly believe I am entitled too because it was a MISTAKE she did now I have to get it treated somewhere else . She offered a 3 week olaplex treatment and a at home kit that's all she can do for me? How does she expect me to want to go back ? After 3 times? The right thing to do would be to give me a partial refund especially knowing she messed up ! How is it fair? I never once complained about the price but $480 to walk out with messed up hair it's not okay!!
